Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Good Night Sleep I travel a lot and only stay at IHG brand hotels and this place just fair. The front desk staff was miserable upon check in and check out. Was not acknowledged as a Platinum member, only on my key card sleeve. No little goodie bag that I usually get, instead I got a daily $9.95 resort fee and some unknown $1.00 daily other fee. Upon checkout at 5 AM, the desk agent didn't ask me how everything was, in fact I had to say good morning to him. The only real pro about this place is the location, it was clean and comfortable. Thankfully that was all I was looking for. January 10, 2013

I went online and looked up the hotel and seen that it was recently remolded and the pictures looked beautiful and the location looked perfect . The reason I came down was for my Fiancee' birthday and I was not at all happy. The room smelled horrible the carpet was dirty , the water in the shower took for ever to get hot and the water had a funny taste. I try to always stay at a Holiday Inn resort when I travel because it is always nice and comfortable. I was so disappointed and so was my fiancee and it put a damper on our weekend that was suppose to be special. December 21, 2012

Ordered a late evening meal from the restaurant which was enjoyable and good value for the money. Service was handled with a smile. Gorgeous ocean front property. December 2, 2012

The people at the desk were not friendly and the happy visits that we have made in the past is gone. The visual appearance is more like a business environment not a beach environment. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Hilton Head Get Away This was our first visit to Hilton Head Island. We make reservations 2 months in advance. We had requested an ocean view, but as there were 2 events going on (Wedding Guests and College holiday) we were unable to get the room we requested. Even with the fact we were Platinum members, we had to take the first avalible room. (no upgrade). It was a nice room on the top floor with a small view of the ocean. Usually upon arriving at a Holiday Inn we receive a welcome pack with water etc.(I had to ask for it) We stand for two nights. We had to ask for clean towels. It's a nice hotel with a great location on the beach. It has ammenities, ie restaurant, bar lounge, outside tiki bar with entertainment. (that was great.) All in all, we were able to relax and enjoy our stay after a bumpy start. November 15, 2012

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Weekend Beach Location! I was excited about a beach getaway, and had never been to Hilton Head, so I scheduled a quick weekender-Fri-Sun. I arrived quite early in the morning (10:30 am) to take advantage of the beach for the full day. So, when I arrived, I was greeted by friendly and helpful staff and a fruity cocktail. Upon check-in, I was informed that they would accommodate early check-in, without me even requesting! They took my cell and advised that they would phone when my room became available. No problem, I had arrived dressed for the beach, so I proceeded out to the beach. As I headed out through the pool area, the activity coordinator had a large group jamming and moving in a spin class. It was high energy and demonstrated the amenities of the hotel. I was able to grab some beach towels and headed out. At around 12 or 1, I received a call that my room was ready! Great customer service! The room was spacious and clean. There was a mini fridge for storage of beverages. The beds were comfortable. Overall, the location was fantastic and restaurants were easy to find. It is within walking distance of a shopping area with restaurants as well, so there is no need to move your car if you don't want to! Would definitely return! November 15, 2012

Nice to listen to live music while you are playing with your children in the pool. Our room was great, comfortable and a nice size for a family of 4. Very close to shops and restaurants. Nice to park the car and not have to get back in until you are going home. November 15, 2012

The recent remodel was pretty successful in "refreshing" the older property, the beach was nice and the room comfortable. The hotel staff was exceptionally pleasant and professional, especially a young lady by the name of Marina who worked at the front desk. She was so very helpful and appreciative of our thanks for the good job she was doing. Would definitely stay there again. November 13, 2012
