Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 Great Staff! The Holiday Inn Resort Waikiki Beachcomber is a good hotel in a great spot in Waikiki. The rooms are nice but could use an updating in the bathroom area and road noice from the street can be a bother at times, even high up. The staff are outstanding and go out of their way to make you feel welcome and at home! This location is a nice place to stay in Wailiki and most sites are close enough to walk to. October 28, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Centrally Located Waikiki A great centrally located hotel. We stayed on the 24th floor overlooking what was the International Marketplace (work site). No problems with noise as previous guests have mentioned. We were close to elevators and no problems at all. Staff were helpfull, friendly and a pleasure to deal with. Thank you to Jenny at the front desk for helping with our early arrival and obtaining a room as early as possible while my wife was not feeling top notch. Patrick is a treasure for this hotel so helpful with maps and some very odd requests for unusual places that we needed to locate. He went out of his way to help and we appreciate the assistance given. Our only negative would be the Jimmy Buffett Restaurant - we were excited to revisit this chain unfortunately they offered very poor food choice and bar service was poor to say the least. I think they have a lot to fix. The Holiday Inn chain is our one and only place to stay when in USA and we look forward to booking more in the future. Thank you for a great start to a wonderful holiday. October 26, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great location and Value for money My husband and I stayed here for three nights prior to boarding a cruise ship back to Australia. I had mixed thoughts when booking because of the reported noise problem however we were so delighted with our very spotlessly clean large room and bathroom and the nice size balcony that the suggested noise problem appeared not to exist and really we did not find it a problem. We requested a guest room high up ocean front facing and this is what we received,2lst floor, it exceeded our expectation. The guest room and balcony providing delightful views to the ocean, from the balcony views extended to Diamond Head and across other areas of Waikiki. Other guests told us that they preferred rooms high up on the Diamond Head side so I would presume they are just as pleasing as ours. We found the staff excellent from the time we arrived until we left, always helpful, nothing a problem. The location of this hotel is excellent as it is close to transport, great variety of restaurants and a very easy walk to the beach, the beach is only one block away. This hotel would be our first hotel of choice should we return to Honolulu. Thank you Holiday Inn Beachcomber. October 25, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good stay Stayed two nights. Great location. Staff is helpful and friendly. Room was on the smaller side but clean and comfortable. Not plush. This is a good hotel in a great location. October 22, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Everything was great except for the traffic noise Accomodations and customer service were excellent. However, the traffic noise was a little loud in the early morning. I guess you can't get both: close proximity to a lot of restauarants and shops and no traffic noise. I still enjoyed my stay though. October 21, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Shame on Holiday Inn and Waikiki Beachcomber Resort Despite our ONE BED prepaid reservation and phone call three days before our arrival to confirm, the folks at check-in decided that we should have a room with TWO DOUBLE beds (very soft, uncomfortable beds) to celebrate our significant milestone anniversary. Despite our best efforts at speaking with the ENGLISH challenged front desk folks, we had not choice after 13 hours in the air. The room on a high floor did have a partial ocean view and a great view of a noisy CONSTRUCTION SITE below. The hotel is aging, not gracefully and looks like it did when it played host to legendary Hawaiian singer Don HO in the 70's, sort of stuck in a time warp. The infrastructure of the hotel is dated, the air conditioning sort of works, the elevators are slow and now require a room key to use (they instituted it while we were there, but didn't tell the existing guests). Waikiki is not a paradise for Hawaiian beauty, it is a shoppers paradise with upscale stores and busy shoppers, sort of New York's Fifth Avenue with a beach. I would NOT recommend this resort. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Center of Activity Great location near the center of Waikiki if you want to walk to shopping or dining. Right in the middle of a major shopping area and a one block walk to the beach. Difficult to use the balcony because of street activity, but once the shutters and drapes were closed it was very quiet. Everything was clean and comfortable. Upgrade and chocolate in the room because of Gold status. October 19, 2014
