We stayed at this resort as we were in town to look at the University of Hawaii Manoa. The resort was centrally located and within walking distance to the beach and shops along the avenue. One small drawback is that unless you know exactly where the resort is located on the boulevard, it was hard to find Duke's Lane and the entrance area. We circled three times before we finally found it! No worries, as once we had the landmarks of the area, it was easy access in and out! Would recommend this resort to anyone who inquires.

Overall, we had a great time, great location and the staff and rooms are very good. Just a few things to take into consideration if you are thinking of booking a room there:
Construction work next door where the international market used to be so perhaps do not upgrade to the deluxe rooms to see diamond head and the sand as it is noisy during the day and construction is to go for another 2 years.
Do not include breakfast in your accommodation package as it is very limited, can not be changed by many waitresses (some would modify) and is not a buffet. Best to buy what you want or go somewhere else.
Had one incident, not the hotel's fault but still worth mentioning. We ordered a shuttle to pick us up to go to the flea market at the stadium. The shuttle arrived half an hour late and we found out he charged us more than others already on the bus. At the other end he arrived, yet again, same driver, half an hour late. We had been standing in the hot sun on the tarmac and were not impressed.
By this stage there were not enough seats for all the passengers so he got some to sit on the knees of other passengers. When challenged he was extremely rude, airport passengers thought they were going to miss their plane due to his lateness.
I rang the shuttle company when we got back to the hotel as I was concerned about the safety of the drive home. In Honolulu they are very good at saying 'sorry' but that is all I got from the telephone call centre. I asked to speak with the Manager who was out for lunch so I gave her my telephone number. Later I found out the Manager rang the hotel and spoke with staff. I found this out by chasing it up with hotel staff, there was not follow up by the staff with me.
The next morning a paid invoice with $2.00 was pushed under my door of the hotel room with no note or apology. It all seem to come down to a small refund and the safety issue was totally ignored. I can only hope the Manager follows this up with his driver's so it does not happen again, perhaps next time the passengers may not be so lucky.
The small bar closes frequently without notice, especially for the happy hour. No-one told us there was another bar on the other side of the restaurant.

Great location with convenient valet parking. Rooms were really cleaned thoroughly daily, with very freindly staff. A bit noisy due to construction next door, but not a major problem.
