Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Viva La Beachcomber We come to the Beachcomber every year as it is the only IHG property choice that I have for this business market. We always try to stay at IHG. The Beachcomber is an excellent value for the business traveler as by virtue of being a Holiday Inn appears "No Frills" . However, the Hotel feels quite deluxe, is close to everything, and I don't think anyone could ask for anything more. The staff is excellent. I particularly liked the ability to book a rate that includes parking, as business expenses for parking lead companies to push employees into properties farther away from Waikiki. Staying in Waikiki while on business gives my family a feeling like they got a vacation while I'm very central to everything for business. The staff and entertainment in the bar area next to the pool were really terrific. Thank you for a wonderful stay. The family is now suffering from P.H.D.S. (Post Hawaii Depression Syndrome) Kind regards, The Harris Family April 21, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Restful retreat The hotel was very comfortable. Bed and pillows were excellent which is rare. The staff was always helpful and friendly. Only slight negative was that the service in the restaurant was a little slow. However, the food was good and getting seated was always easy. April 21, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Fantastic location, family friendly hotel We travelled with 3 older teenagers and had 2 rooms on the 11th fl facing Dukes Lane for 10 nights. Location was perfect and the rooms spacious and very comfortable. With balcony door closed no noise from streets below. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Even allowed us a 10.30am check-in in one room so we could sleep after our early morning flight arrival. Loved Jimmy Buffets restaurant- fresh, tasty food, reasonably priced. Great happy hour drinks at the bar. Pool and spa were lovely in the arvo. Great mini-mart onsite which we utilised daily for water and snacks. Would definately love to stay here again and highly recommend this very comfortable, reasonably priced hotel. April 20, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Affordable place to stay in Waikiki We enjoyed our brief stay at this hotel, but it was in a very congested area (Waikiki), and was a bit of a pain to get our car out of the garage from the valet each time- that part wasn't mentioned when we went to book the hotel. Also, the turn into the hotel isn't well marked, so we passed it and had to circle the block (with construction and all the tourists walking around, that took forever). The staff were helpful and very friendly (Patrick at the front desk was especially helpful and gave us recommendations of places to go on his home island of Kauai)- we wouldn't stay in Waikiki again (literally crawling with tourists), but if we had no other choice, we'd be sure to stay in this hotel again. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Front desk awesome, additional perks not so much Sophia at the front desk and other ladies were OUTSTANDING. I had to have an item overnighted, they were most attentive and knowledgeable of the process. For this to be an over-the-top property, the hotel should recognize and reward IHG rewards members with discounts for the bar and restaurant. Not only is this practice in line with other high-end hotel chains, it would encourage guests to spend more money inside of the hotel. I look for hotels with executive lounges, complimentary breakfast, manager receptions, etc, etc. While this hotel is nice, I would look at other hotels for the complimentary perks of being a frequent guest. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice hotel & location but be warned Very nice hotel. Fantastic location and very helpful staff. However DO NOT TAKE the breakfast option. Very limited options no buffet and no flexibility. This was very poor value indeed. Very small swimming pool very little shade. April 18, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by loved the stay, will stay again on next trip. Very happy with my stay here, everything was at a walking distance, loved it.Will recommend this place to friends.Probably will stay here on next trip. April 17, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great location, great service. This is our third time at this location within a year, for 11 nights. We have never been disappointed and always recommend it to others. Thank you. April 15, 2015

Answer:
Depends on what you consider beach access from the hotel. If it is where you walk out the door and you are on the beach, then no! But in this hotel you walk out the front door, cross the street, turn left for 50ft, turn right at the surfboards and walk another 2/300 ft and you will be standing on the Waikiki Beach!

No, at least for our room. But it looks like every room has a balcony so I wonder if there are any adjoining rooms.

Rooms have a coffee pot and a mini fridge, they supply coffee and tea. We found a Walmart nearby. Fresh produce is more expensive there, but everything else was not.

Answer:
No there is no breakfast from the hotel, we had to go somewhere everyday for breakfast. try "Eggs and Things", and we did do IHOP a couple times, but it is expensive the closer you are to the strip. We actually hit McDonalds for Yogurts and fruits, then did a bigger lunch away from the strip, or did a cool place for lunch.

Answer:
I do not think ALL rooms have a view but we were on the 12th floor Southside, and we did have a good view. There is construction going on until 2016 on the Southside of the building, starts at 7am, ends at 5 to 7pm
