Excellent location though you may have to scout your way to the beach the first time once you find the way it is really close. The staff managed to find a way to give us a late check out for our 11 pm flight for a very reasonable charge. The room was quiet and very comfortable. I would stay here again and again.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Wenson Great service ever!
I must say my family had the most memorable experience at the hotel. The staff are so friendly and responsible. I arrived at the hotel in the very early morning at about 6am, and the staff managed to give us early check-in. The most important thing is I forgot my ID in the room when checked out. The hotel called me immediately though I couldn't come back for it. However, they mailed my ID to our next hotel. I have to say their staff are truly professional! Nothing is more important than that for a great hotel! Thank you!

A friend and I stayed at Holiday Inn Beachcomber for 10 nights from December 19 through December 28, 2012. We were assigned Room 1008, which was a corner ocean view room. The room was nice and spacious with two double beds and a balcony.. The view was nice though obstructed somewhat with buildings but still provided a view of the ocean. The room was relatively quiet. There was only one night that we heard club music but it didn't last that long.
We were very pleased with the location as it was an easy walk to shops and restaurants. The International Market was just a few doors away.
The staff members were pleasant and efficient.
We would definitely stay at the Holiday Inn Beachcomber again. We had a fantastic experience.

Check In was smooth and efficient, no upgrade for my Platinum status which was disappointing, however membership was recognized and a nice box of macadamia nuts in the room. We needed a late checkout as we had a very late flight and this was organized with no problems. The room was ok, and on the 4th floor which made me nervous having read other peoples comments about noise - we had no noise problem. Had a problem with the tv and it took 3 calls over 2 days to get it put right. Shower cubicle was dimly lit and on the small side. Breakfast can only be described as not worth it - they were very slow in keeping things like bacon refilled, and the coffee is awful and the juices are from boxes and sweetened. Would I stay here again, probably not as I think we got pretty poor value

Yanick Very nice hotel!
As a Platimum member, I think I get a very good service at Holiday inn Beachcomber, Reward night, 8 nights total stay. stay on 19th flood!! Room are clean.
Very nice view on the Diamond head and ocean view. Staff is there for you if you need help.
Pool is Ok.. but who need a pool when you are have Waikiki beach
2 minutes walk from the hotel!
All restaurants and shopping at one step of the hotel.
Parking is a bit expensive at 20$ per day ( including platimum rebate 5$ )
I highly recommend this hotel! Good vaue, ask for a higher lever room for avoid the noise, with view on the volcano and ocean.

The location is awesome! We stayed on the top floor, 25th and the view was beautiful. The lady in charge of taking care of our room was very nice and polite. I have been a Priority Member since 2001 and stay in Holiday Inns about 55-60 nights a year and this one is right at the top as far as friendly staff, location and value! I would absolutely recommend to you!

This was the first use of the Priority Club Points and we hope this is not indicative of what to expect. This is a dreadful hotel. Access is off the busiest street in Waikiki, requiring you to dodge heavy foot traffic in front of the hotel just to pull into the valet area. Parking is a premium, so excpect to pay for it.
The room we were assigned was the smallest room they offer at this location (based on the emergency floor plan in the room). I suppose that when you "pay" for the room, the hotel does not mind upgrading you. When you are staying for "free", the opposite applies.
The room was clean, but tiny (thus the reason for the low rating). The lobby is very uninviting and chaotic. The parking staff could be friendlier.
Overall, this is just a horrible hotel. I would never recommend it to anyone. It is not in a good location and they really need to work on customer service.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by arlonnaise Do not stay here if you are DOD civilian on business or want a quite room
1. I came to Hawaii on a business trip-not a vacation and did not have time to explore this exceptional island. The site advertised DOD government rates. I did get that but they would not accept my tax exempt status increasing the total cost of my stay more than $129.00. No the government does not have money to burn-at least not my department.
2. My room was noisy and between 7 and 8 pm each night the walls vibrated from the music played below by the troupe of pacific island dancer. While the dancers were wonderful and the music vibrant and special, my walls vibrated 7 floors above them.
3. I return there next year on another trip but will not stay there again.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by thetravelingbex Worst Holiday Inn anywhere
First this property is not a resort and should not be labeled one. It is an out of date hotel with Jimmy Buffet restaurant. I have stayed in ICH properties and have never been treated this way. Then to find out that because I booked this stay directly through United with my flight I would not be getting the points. I think the parking is $30 a day and the so called breakfast was $14 for a buffet. The pool was not worth even changing into a suit. The room was just as out of date as the rest of the hotel and the air did not work properly.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Judith Fantastic view and excellent service
Our room was available immediately upon arrivals vein though we arrived early, and the staff very friendly and polite.
Our bags were taken straight to our room and the porter explained the hotel facilities and location.
The hotel is right in the centre of Waikiki with everything available at the door - tour desks(2), bas stops, shopping and beach a 5 minute walk.
We had an 11pm flight home and were able to relocate to a lower room till 8pm checkout at a small charge. It was ideal.
The restaurant located in the building is privately operated and is available for all meals with charge back to the hotel. It has live entertainment and is very good.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by cc9363 noise level
The room was very nice, I only had a couple problems. The first was when I would open the sliding window or went I would go out on the balcony. The noise level coming from the air conditioning equipment on the roof below made it un-comfortable to stay out and enjoy the veiw or to sleep with the window open. The second item was, a chair. The room do not have a comfortable arm chair to sit in. All it had was two dining table type chairs to relax in.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 Fantastic location and easy lifestyle, I enjoyed it
This is a good, reliable hotel. I have stayed at Holiday Inns allover the Asia/Pacific region and this one is a good quality example. As with all of them, the location is marvellous - it is surrounded by good eateries and plenty of shopping. Waikiki Beach is only a few metres walk away and the buses to Honolulu are easily found on Kuhio, right behind the hotel. On the down side, this hotel has no restaurant - disappointing as Holiday Inns are renowned for good quality food - that means there is no room service overnight. The closest place to get breakfast is the Beachcomber on Level 1, attached to Jimmy Buffets. This is okay - quite fine for breakfast, but don't expect a sumptuous buffet. The Waikiki area, renowned for good times and partying, can be noisy through the night, so you will need to be aware of this possibility - not the hotel's fault. Good coffee and the service is outstanding here. All in all, it was a good stay and I would come to stay here again.
