Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Our stay at Holiday Inn Waikiki Beachcomber If you like being part of the hub this hotel was was 2 blocks from the beach(we had partial view of the water). It is right in the middle of all the shopping...great for window shopping... very busy so if you like a quiet spot this hotel is not for you.... They do not offer breakfast but you get 15% off at "Jimmy Buffet's" restaurant attached to the was good and the place was hopping.... the 15% discount is only good for breakfast and lunch and not for dinner.... I don't know if we will ever return to Hawaii but if we do we may stay there again.... April 20, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by comfortable room, goog location, good service Excellent location. Comfortable room. Friendly staff. Very nice service. April 19, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great service Staff was excellent, very efficient and helpful. From valet to front desk it could have been better. The breakfast buffet has a little to be desired but OK. The noise from the deck is a bit load if you have a room on the front side. Location to shopping and beaches is good, just a short walk and you are on the beach, shopping right out the front door. I have stayed here before and will stay here again. Good Job! April 19, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent location and friendly staff My second stay at the hotel and I just enjoyed it even more. Its centrally located, near the beach, near an apple store, near Victoria Secret, H&M and Forever 21. Got comfortable rooms and pillows. Just great to relax tired feet after a day of walking, and hiking. This hotel also has a self laundry that is most helpful. Staff from the Concierge to the Front Desk, the Tour Desk and even the cleaning people are friendly and so accommodating. Internet is ok and room with a ref is a MUST. Coffee is also excellent, except for the creamer and the substitute sugar, looks like its been stocked for ages. Otherwise perfect place to enjoy Waikiki. April 19, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Value Excellent location. Comfortable room. Quality service. The best value for the money on Waikiki. April 15, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice hotel, great location This hotel was tucked in amidst all the hustle and bustle of the area , yet was very comfortable. There are plenty of shopping and places to eat nearby, and the beach access is across the street as well. Overall, it was a nice place to stay, and the breakfast was very good....especially the coffee !!! April 10, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Friendly service and comfortable room The hotel is conveniently located in Waikiki. Check-in was quick and easy; the people at the Front Desk were friendly and courteous. I was upgraded to a room with a partial ocean view, but the accomodations were the same as my reserved room. The room was clean and comfortable, but looked slightly dated. There was occasional noise from the street during the evenings, but nothing that was prolonged or excessive. If you want complete quiet, don't stay downtown. The only negative was the hot water. The water at the sink never got past luke-warm. This could have been due to being on the 15th floor. If so, it is not a valid excuse. Overall it was a pleasant stay. April 8, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent location, great staff and clean rooms You can't beat the price for the location. Cross the street to the beach, duke's for breakfast, shopping right outside your door and bus lines nearby. A local marketplace is just across the parking lot. They have a pool and hot tub. There's also a gym on the 2nd floor. April 7, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by That's why I continue to stay here. If you travel a lot on business, you want to stay at a place where you are remembered and everyone 'welcomes you'. I feel this at this property. Yes it was noisy prior to tearing down of the international market place, but it is simply 'delightful' now! The team that services the rooms are very friendly and always greet me with a smile. The valet team is quick and the guys always assist with my bags #yes I do tip!# Too bad about 'standardization' with the brand. I really liked the 2 bottled waters when I checked in. April 7, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Home away form home I stay here a lot. Some may think that’s nice but as a business traveler not so much. That is why I like this hotel. The staff is great and always there for you for whatever you need. Even the room attendants go out of their way to make you feel as comfortable as possible and at home. The location could not be better. Across from the beach and surrounded by restaurants and places to buy snack and necessities if you forgot something. If you’re going to stay in Waikiki you’re not going to get away from the hustle and bustle of noise but its work it to me. At this hotel I think there is a view of the beach from every room although I have not stayed in every room  April 7, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Location Just enjoyed a 5 day break here. The hotel is in a great location no need for a rental car. Very close to beach and shops. The staff are helpful and friendly. Also on site tour booking office with helpful staff. The only problem is that there is construction work nearby and the noise from this during the day can be a problem Would definitely stay there again April 6, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very Enjoyable Stay My husband and I stayed at the Holiday Inn Beachcomber for 5 nights and really enjoyed our stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was quite nice and on a high floor with a view of the ocean. There was a good bit of noise due to construction next door but it was not unbearable. The hotel is in a good location to walk to shops and restaurants. I highly recommend the Beachcomber. April 3, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by A good choice in Waikiki. This hotel is an excellent choice for individuals [business] and families alike. It is centrally situated along the main road at Waikiki Beach and literally 2 - 3 minutes walk to the sand. The room was large and comfortable with a good sizes balcony. The air con was very controllable & efficient but was not noisy as so many can be. On the first level, there is a nice pool which was never crowded, two bars with nice long "Happy Hours" and a good restaurant that was reasoably priced. James, in the Tours Desk was extremely helpful & knowledgable. April 3, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Staff was great but room was too old Stayed here for 2 days. The staffs were one of the most friendly and genuine people. However, I must say the building and facilities were very very old. It is so out-dated and must be renovated asap. Bottom of restroom door was rotten and carpet was too dirty. I got free chocolate and warm greeting card from staff as a welcome gift. The staffs were very friendly and treated me very well. Staff cannot do anything better and it is IHG corporate's duty to renovate the hotel. Until then, I would not stay here again just because rooms are too old. March 29, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Stay Views of Diamond head and the ocean. Great platinum recognition. Clean rooms and good security. Jimmy Buffet restaurant in the lobby with good food and music. Good central location for Waikiki. One street up from the beach. March 28, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great location Close to everything I needed to do while I was There March 28, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Wonderful experience! My wife and I were on our first visit to Hawaii and had a great time. The staff was very friendly and helpful and although we only had a partial view of the ocean, we preferred to spend time on the beach rather than looking at it from our balcony. The room was comfortable, well equipped, and clean. We enjoyed being located right on the main street with all the shops and restaurants. There is so much to see and do! March 25, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Great Location but Poor Value For the amount we paid an night I would be extremely disappointed at this Holiday Inn Resort because the rooms were dated. There were AC issues and noise from creaky floors and elevators even though we had the Ocean View Balconies we could hear the Elevators across the Hall. I could not sleep at all so it was not worth booking here. I would not recommend this property at the cost they charge in either peak or off season! March 15, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Worst Holiday Inn Ever I travel on Business, and this is by far the worst Holiday Inn that I have stayed in. If I had been paying for this out of my own pocket I would have been asking for a refund and looking for another place to stay. - The shower curtain was hanging by its threads. - The doors are splitting on the bottom. - The A/C struggled to cool the room. - The TV had very few channels to offer in English, which was a big disappointment since I work out of the room while traveling. - The electrical outlets are worn out and will hardly hold the plugs into it. They are also placed in hard to access areas. (behind the Bed) Parts of the room needed to be updated and/or replaced. Hard to believe no upkeep is being done with the amount charged per day for a room. If I ever go back to Hawaii, I will not stay at this location for sure. March 12, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by A good place to stay High quality at a very reasonable price. Highly recommend this location. But I can only see half Wakiki beach from my room. Because some other buildings blocked the view. March 7, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Very Bad Service from the front desk Of so many IHG chain of hotels thatI had stayed , this hotel is the worst. The way the front desk staff answer my questions - very rude. Not only one staff but all that I had spoken to on different occasions. They way the talked to you is like " well, we are very busy and our business is good, take it or leave it ". Being a platinum member will not get you better treatment. March 4, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Option in Honolulu! Travelling for business is always a pain... especially when it takes over 24 hours to make the trip to your final destination.. but the Beachcomber on Waikiki Beach was a pleasant surprise! Hotel has a lot of amenities - parking on site (even if it's valet only), a pool off the lobby, Margaritaville and a great bar also off the lobby, and comfortable rooms, not to mention being located right in the middle of all the activity on Waikiki. Down side: street noise from being located in the middle of all the activity on Waikiki. Amazing how much work is performed (noisily) on the street between midnight and 0500... Great option for a Honolulu stay, have already booked again for my next stay... Recommended. March 3, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great hotel for first time in Hawaii The Holiday Inn is beautiful inside and welcoming upon arrival. The moment I arrived to the hotel I was greeted by the gentlemen that took our luggage and sent to the room and helped direct us to the lobby. Throughout the week stay, these gentlemen remembered us and that is a hard to do with so many visitors. The front desk staff were friendly, efficient, and helpful especially on the last day as we had to check out but our flight was delayed and we were able to use the hospitatlity suite. What a luxury! The room was clean and when we requested more pillows, housekeeping brought them up in a few minutes. The balcony overlooking the street and the ocean was worth having coffee and cocktails! So relaxing! Definitely come to the Holiday Inn. We will return in the future. February 26, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Honolulu Comfort Excellent Staff. They were friendly and helpful. Room was extremely clean and great housekeeping staff. I love the Japanese toilets that wash and dry. Food and Staff at the Jimmy Buffet bar was good & the drinks were great. Great place to relax. Parking valets were also extremely helpful and friendly. January 28, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by great location I am platinum and we were upgraded to an ocean view. Obviously being across from the ocean front hotels our view was blocked, but very, very nice anyway. We could certainly see the ocean. We were on the 12th floor. We heard music a couple of times from the bar at night, but it was minimal. It was a very acceptable room, average holiday inn, decent price for the area. Surf board alley right beside Cheesecake factory offered great beach access. The cleaning staff were extremely friendly, the front desk average. Don't bother trying to get a late check out until the day of departure, I've never heard so many lame excuses for not even checking. I'm having trouble getting my points and credit for the first night, I guess because we arrived late (even though we paid for the whole night?), but am working on it. We went to Jimmy Buffets for the breakfast buffet the first morning, were not impressed and ate elsewhere for the other 8 mornings. It is $13.95 and nothing special. Duke's across the street in the Outrigger was 3 dollars more, included beverages and they made custom omelettes and it's right on the ocean. This hotel is in an excellent location and is nice and clean, I would recommend it, even though my review is a bit negative. I'm just used to great service for platinum. January 27, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great location! Next to International Market We stayed here in last week of Dec 13. The location is fantastic. As a platinum member they upgraded me to full ocean view with Diamond head view. Only short walk across the street to the beach. Excellent shopping, grocery in the area. Will recommend for family stay. January 13, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Great pillows but other things need attention Reception. Staff and expedia staff were friendly and helpful. The doorman who saw us to our room offered local knowledge and when asked about A location for a Mexican restaurant we were told, that there weren't any. We found la cucharacha 2 blocks away . FANTASTIC MEXICAN, Disappointed with the "we think of the planet" card in the bathroom for reusing towels when polystyrene cups wrapped in plastic are provided for tea and coffee. T.bags were also provided but no means to boil water to make tea, unless of course you wanted coffee infused like warm tea. Bed comfortable, pillows lovely , honest chamber staff. January 12, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great View We had a great view of the sunrise from our room. The sound of the beach was so relaxing. Everything was within walking distance: restaurants, shopping, beach. There is plenty of transportation to help you get around. December 30, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very comfortable room and great location in Waikiki I was very pleased that I chose the Holiday Inn for our stay in Honolulu. The room was very clean and spacious. There was easy access to the beach using the surfboard alley by Cheesecake Factory across the street. The reception staff was very friendly. We arrived early in the morning and they offered to store our luggage for check in later in the day. December 11, 2013
