Enjoyed my stay for a meeting. Felt secure and found that rooms were secure from the public.

Last time I was at this hotel it was still 100% outdoor. I was pleasantly surprised to see the changes since then.
Upon arriving, I pulled into the carport area. It was still early enough where there was no one arriving. I was promptly told by one of the ballet people that I can't park there for a min while I checked-in and that I had to park over by Applebee's.
Once finally arriving at the counter to check-in (Still the only one around) no one greeted me. And during the whole check-in process everyone was very cold and had no personality. Yikes. No late check-out option or any reference to me being an IHG member.
So off to the room! After finally finding a parking spot it was a little hard to find a way in because the doors all go to different sections of the hotel. Each wing is walled off from each other so you have to go completely outside just to go to the building that's attached. This I thought was seriously annoying.
The rooms were nice. Definitely a lot nicer than my last visit. A/C works great (a plus for being in Florida). The bed was like sleeping on the floor. Super hard mattress so I ended up sleeping on the sleeper sofa. Interesting how a fold up mattress is more comfortable than the bed I paid for. So thanks for putting the sheets for the pull out bed in the closet instead of having me call someone.
Breakfast was just ok. I really love Applebee's, so it was sort of novel for me to have breakfast at one. But good luck finding your way from your room to the lobby. For the price of the buffet, I was expecting a bit more quality than what was there. A few bucks at the fast food chicken place across the street would have given me a better breakfast. However the convenience of having the buffet there without having to go anywhere is nice. The less I have to use the car, the better.
Finally...the bill. Ugh. Hello extra fees. Stayed at plenty of Orlando hotels in my life and none charged for parking. And there is a fee for having a fee. Nice! An extra Jackson worth of fees.
Overall I do think I may be back only based on the location. However, I have had better service and a better experience at cheaper IHG hotels down the block. There is nothing here that separates this property from any other of the hotels around so I don't know why it's deemed a "Resort".
I would only recommend this hotel if someone was looking for a hotel close to Downtown Disney (Disney Springs) or Orlando Fashion Outlets.
