Deepest part was barely 5' deep - Two hot tubs - Poolside bar --Staff plays poolside games with the little kids - Staff friendly and hotel was clean except for the hair in my tub - No toe-stubbing track on the sliding glass door to the balcony Cons - Hair in my bath tub - First Holiday Inn that I have stayed at that didn't recognize IHG Rewards Club Members with a gift bag or more points or even a mere thank you for being a member. - No free continental breakfast October 17, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Fire Pit We decided to come back for a weekend after staying here in August on vacation and loved everything about the resort. I did not think it was possible for it to get any better....I was wrong they added a beautiful Fire Pit and heated the lazy river. What a perfect place to stay at year around. Thank you to the amazing front desk staff and Nilla who goes out of her way to make everyone feel special, and after several visit we consider a friend. Thank you to the great job the Mermaid and Pirates do to make the children and adults have fun, also the restaurant and Bonnie great service. Thank you Gm. Ron W. for having such beautiful place to stay at....see you next year. October 16, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Nice Had a good time at resort but 2$ for a cup of coffee is nuts and when booking room I was told I would have gulf front but didn't get it then asked for kids suite and was told sold out then get into our room tv doesnt work so they moved us into a kids room after we were told there was none available all the staff was great !! the resuturant staff was very awful our server only stopes at tabel once and then I had to keep asking another server for stuff so hands down for the riptide October 16, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good Value for a Great Beach Trip The hotel was nice, the staff was very friendly, and the pool and the tiki bar were top notch. We stayed out by the beach and pool nearly every day. This hotel really does a great job entertaining kids - they had pirates come out and play games, had a mermaid come swim with the kids, and then on Saturday night, they set up a screen and played a movie out on the pool deck. There were hammocks out by the pool, 2 hot tubs, a children's pool for little ones, and complimentary rafts to float the lazy river. My family enjoyed our stay very much, and I would recommend this hotel to other families looking for a good value on a nice beach. October 16, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Another Great Time This was our second stay at Holiday Inn Resort in Pensacola. We had a great time, again. It's a perfect place for family. Both times, we have visited in October, so we miss the summertime resort activities, but our kids still have a wonderful time. The staff is accommodating, friendly, and make us feel at home. We will definitely visit again! PS. We love John at the Tiki bar. He does an awesome job! October 15, 2014

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Nice hotel, poor service It is a new hotel and has a very nice pool with a lazy river which my kids really enjoyed. However, they have unexperienced staff too. I booked the weekends with two separate reservations since I had a free night to spend. When I checked in, the front desk staff noticed only one reservation and had some trouble to find my second reservation even after I told her that there should be another one. That really made me worry about that my second reservation was not done successfully. Anyways, they found my second reservation but they only gave me the form for the first reservation to sign until I asked what about the second one. She apparently forgot about my second night already. Then she gave me the second form for the second reservation and told me that she had keyed the cards for the same room for two days. However, when I went back to the hotel the second night the cards didn’t work! I had to go down to have they keyed again. The night before we left, I asked the front desk about the check out since I had to leave earlier. They told me they will slip in the receipt under the door at night and I can just leave the cards in the room. Again, there was no receipt and I had to check out at the front desk! Other issues included no cups for the bath room the first day, stained pillow sham, and terrible WIFI connection. We have iphones, ipad, windows phone, windows tablet. None of them received continuous WIFI connections. The WIFI dropped after working for at most 5 minutes every time and took several minutes to be reconnected. Last, as a platinum member, I was a little disappointed that I was given a sound side room and no upgrade available even though I knew there were gulf side rooms available. October 15, 2014
