Spent 7 nights here and had a wonderfully relaxing week. The concierge staff were knowledgable and organised some local tours for us. There is a huge range of activities for the young and old and a good range of dining and bar facilities. Both pools were very nice with the terrace pool being relatively quiet. Particularly enjoyed the fire twirling show. Our lagoon view king room was well equipped, bed and pillows were fine. Overall the resort is well maintained and the friendly staff all too happy to help with anything. The only criticism is the inconsistency with coffee and bar services. Some days coffee was great, others almost undrinkable and ordering the same cocktail each night did not always deliver the same drink. Minor things indeed but room for improvement. Had a great holiday and would highly recommend this resort.

This is a great place. And it doesn't stretch the budget - we stayed for 7 nights and the total room and food totalled $2100AUD - and that included dinner at the Lobby Bar or Verandah Restaurant with a bottle of wine. If you have hold a Priority Club membership, then brekky is included, and if you fill up on that sumptuous offering each day, forget about lunch!
The food is good and plentiful, drinks cold, and the service wonderful.
You have to go to the Pool Bar between 4 and 6pm daily, and get Freddy to mix you up the most delightful cocktail, or settle back with a Tusker (the local beer), or wine, or champers!
There's a Kava demonstration by "Chief Sam" - this guy is a scream; a Melanesian Bottle Band, which is excellent, or on certain nights a trio (or band) in the Lobby Bar.
The Kids Club looked well patronised, and well equipped, and plenty of Ni-Van (that's the locals) ladies keeping the kids occupied. Even at breakfast there was a delightful lady making baskets with the kids!
The bed we had was firm, the air-con and fan was silent. You had a choice of firm or soft pillow, the balcony overlooking the lagoon is small, but ok. The view was outstanding - and when you think of lagoons you think of mosquitoes? Nope - not here, the lagoon is tidal, non polluted, safe for swimming, but I recommend you take reef shoes.
There are comfortable hammocks, kayaks - a great way to work up an appetite (and thirst) - small sailing craft, all in good seaworthy condition. There are staff everywhere to ensure safety.
I've seen reports about noisy Aussies - well, that was everywhere in Pt.Vila, and not confined to the resort - but there were kids mucking around in the kids pools, so expect some sounds!
The staff are reserved, speak quietly, but extremely polite and more than helpful. Your smile and a friendly "yo" (that's a standard hello in Vanuatu) will be met twofold in return.
Just a hint - when there's a cruise ship in the harbour, some taxis and buses (buses are mini vans) charge like elephants, and shops do the same - so what better way to avoid that than by kayaking the lagoon, enjoying a cocktail or just chatting with the staff.
Advice with those with prams - you will likely have to go up and down flights of stairs if in top or middle level rooms.
Will we go back, you better believe it!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Cookie46 Super Family Friendly resort and marvellous holiday venue!
Together with my son and his family, I visited this resort to escape the rain and cold of winter in Australia. We were looking for sun , and got lots , lots more. Set on the edge of a lagoon with well manicured gardens, it is a great holdiay spot. The rooms were comfortable and well cleaned. the food both at the buffet breakfast, dining facilities and room service were excellent.
A major plus for this hotel is the Kids Club, which could not do enough to keep my sons two kids entertained and allow the adults some relax time. Staff in all functions were very friendly, courteous and helpful. Kelly and staff at reception were outstanding, while the " boys on the beach " John, Joel, Andrew Bob and rest were superb and gave every possible assistance to enable us to gain maximum use of hotel facilites such as the free canoes, beach volleyball and soccer etc. The swimming pool was great and very clean including the lovely wading pool with mushroom waterfall for the kids. Overall the people in the hotel and the people of Vanuatu are warm and friendly, and we all returned home feeling that we had one of our best holidays ever! Thank you to everyone. We plan to be back soon.
