Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 Great Value This is a good base all inclusive there is only 2 restaurants on site a buffet and Ala carte. We preferred the Ala Carte. The hotel does not make change so make sure you bring smaller bills for tips. The waiters at the Ala Carte restaurants were good about helping us get change. The liquor is median not really top of the line but it is what we expected for where we were staying. The service was great everyone was friendly and very accommodating. There is a sea turtle sanctuary on the property this was a great experience to see the turtles hatch and to release them in the ocean. The adult pool was a little warm the first day but they added water and it cooled off. This hotel was a great value stay for a quick 5 day get away. Definitely book the ocean front lanai room it is worth the upgrade. *Note- you cannot swim in the ocean here at the resort it is red flag all the time because of the waves and under current. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Resort- great staff and service! My husband and I chose this hotel for our honeymoon and we were very happy with everything. The staff was very kind and friendly and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. Two pools have swim up bars- one pool had activities and music playing, which is great for families and party people. The other pool has a big waterfall and a water dump bucket/play area for kids! The third pool was always really quiet and seemed empty (the adult only pool). The estuary right next to the hotel was beautiful, we walked through it a couple times. The water level was a bit high so some trails were flooded, but you can still see tons of birds and lizards and some cows and horses. The room was very clean and the air conditioning felt amazing after coming back from the hot sun all day. The cleaning staff leaves fresh bottles of water for you each day and make decorations out of the towels and sheet covers for you on your bed. There are two restaurants in the resort- one a-la-carte and one buffet style. We ate at both-- the a-la-carte has the same menu for lunch each day and a different menu for dinner. The buffet was nice because they did different styles of food each night for dinner- they had an American night, and Asain night, a Mexican night, etc. One thing we wished the hotel had was a taco bar. We did go out into the town a couple days for lunch just to get some more authentic tasting Mexican food. If the hotel had a taco and salsa bar, then we probably would have only eaten at the hotel the whole trip. All drinks were included, as well as food, and the drinks were delicious! The hotel has an activities sheet with all the things going on at the resort for the week. We did a free bicycle tour through the town of San Jose Del Cabo and really enjoyed it! The concierge helped us out a great deal as well- we booked a couple tours through Cabo Adventures, and had some trouble with the staff at Cabo Adventures, but the concierge in the hotel helped us with the issues and made us feel at ease. We would definitely recommend this hotel to any honeymooners or families looking to stay in the Cabo area! August 31, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A great trip We enjoyed the Holiday Inn Resort. Most of the staff was friendly and helpful. Only had a problem with 1 bartender ignoring some of the patrons, I'm guessing because others were tipping him better. The food was really good for an all inclusive resort. We had a problem with the safe and telephone in our room and maintenance showed up almost immediately to fix it. August 31, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice resort........... The rooms were clean and most staff was helpful and polite. The concierge was adequate at best as questions were not answered with confidence nor certainty. I expected Concierge service to assist me in a strange city and country and it was not as helpful as one would expect. Local shuttle service was available at two certain times during the day but a HOTEL Shuttle would have been more welcome, coming from the airport and helping with discovering parts of the area. Pool staff was excellent, hotel staff very good and the resort was clean and well kept. It would have also have helped to be informed of WHERE guests could access a swimming area in the ocean. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by excellent value during the time I stay at los cabos, I also booked a different hotel nearby, more expense than this one, but experienced much lower quality, comparing to that one, holiday inn food is much nicer, more stuff in restaurant, overall it is much newer, less crowded. only downside is AC seems to need always on in room to keep temperature low. Answer:
With this hotel being in the shape of a "W" it allows for three very distinct ambiances within the same property. The first area is an Adult Section (No music, no food, no children. The perfect place to hide away and relax). They also have an Activities Pool (aquaerobics, water polo, water volleyball, trivia, bingo and Swim up bar) and a Family Pool (the place to get together with the family and enjoy water and sun fun).

Answer:
Yes, but be very careful if you decide to swim, the under tow can be strong. The beach is beautiful and huge, it is directly in front of the resort. Basically walk right onto the sand from the pool area.
