This is a good base all inclusive there is only 2 restaurants on site a buffet and Ala carte. We preferred the Ala Carte. The hotel does not make change so make sure you bring smaller bills for tips. The waiters at the Ala Carte restaurants were good about helping us get change. The liquor is median not really top of the line but it is what we expected for where we were staying. The service was great everyone was friendly and very accommodating. There is a sea turtle sanctuary on the property this was a great experience to see the turtles hatch and to release them in the ocean. The adult pool was a little warm the first day but they added water and it cooled off. This hotel was a great value stay for a quick 5 day get away. Definitely book the ocean front lanai room it is worth the upgrade. *Note- you cannot swim in the ocean here at the resort it is red flag all the time because of the waves and under current.

My husband and I chose this hotel for our honeymoon and we were very happy with everything. The staff was very kind and friendly and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable.
Two pools have swim up bars- one pool had activities and music playing, which is great for families and party people. The other pool has a big waterfall and a water dump bucket/play area for kids! The third pool was always really quiet and seemed empty (the adult only pool).
The estuary right next to the hotel was beautiful, we walked through it a couple times. The water level was a bit high so some trails were flooded, but you can still see tons of birds and lizards and some cows and horses.
The room was very clean and the air conditioning felt amazing after coming back from the hot sun all day.
The cleaning staff leaves fresh bottles of water for you each day and make decorations out of the towels and sheet covers for you on your bed.
There are two restaurants in the resort- one a-la-carte and one buffet style. We ate at both-- the a-la-carte has the same menu for lunch each day and a different menu for dinner. The buffet was nice because they did different styles of food each night for dinner- they had an American night, and Asain night, a Mexican night, etc.
One thing we wished the hotel had was a taco bar. We did go out into the town a couple days for lunch just to get some more authentic tasting Mexican food. If the hotel had a taco and salsa bar, then we probably would have only eaten at the hotel the whole trip.
All drinks were included, as well as food, and the drinks were delicious!
The hotel has an activities sheet with all the things going on at the resort for the week. We did a free bicycle tour through the town of San Jose Del Cabo and really enjoyed it!
The concierge helped us out a great deal as well- we booked a couple tours through Cabo Adventures, and had some trouble with the staff at Cabo Adventures, but the concierge in the hotel helped us with the issues and made us feel at ease.
We would definitely recommend this hotel to any honeymooners or families looking to stay in the Cabo area!

We enjoyed the Holiday Inn Resort. Most of the staff was friendly and helpful. Only had a problem with 1 bartender ignoring some of the patrons, I'm guessing because others were tipping him better. The food was really good for an all inclusive resort. We had a problem with the safe and telephone in our room and maintenance showed up almost immediately to fix it.
