Holiday Inn Maldives is definitely one of the nicest to stay as they have the best Beach.
Food is not great plus on the high side .
However, the staff attitude and services are on par with those High End or even better.

I have stayed for 5 nights at Holiday Inn Kandooma resort.
All the staff were friendly and helpful.
The SPA is great and the staff are professional.

We spent 6 nights at the resort. When we arrived the Guest Experience Manager Bandula welcomed us and surprised us with an upgrade to a 2 bedroom villa facing the beach fantastic. He also gave surprise gift to choose from. The resort is very well maintained and clean. Our villa was fantastic. 2nd day was another surprise when we return back to the villa. The bed was decorated with romantic touch. Truly memorable time in Holiday Inn Maldives
The resort covers the whole of the small island - 10 minute leisurely walk to go full circle around the island - and offers a variety of waterfront options for the rooms and its visitors. While water bungalows are nice for maybe the romantic couples who want a little more privacy and a memorable setting for their stay, the beach front rooms and villas offer a more practical alternative for families. The rooms are furnished in a fairly basic style but have pretty much everything you need in the room at a decent quality and cleanliness. As for food and entertainment there was the options the Kitchen Restaurant and Kandooma Cafe offered a variety and quality of food for all meals and the wine card was to come into a candy shop there keept us satisfied. Staff and service in general was friendly and outstanding, I will send us our thanks to following staf for a good job they did for us, Beach bar Mr. Sundar and Oivend, Assistent manager Jon, Kichten-chef Nalinda, Front office manager Tomas, Monalisa waiter Beach bar.
I can recommend this place from my hard.

From the moment we arrived Bandula The Customer Experience Manager met my wife and I at Reception to check in at the IHG Rewards Club Desk. He was so informative in telling us all about the options on the island, although not for one moment did we feel like we had to make any decision. In fact he insured we went away, slept over night and came back in the morning to him to discuss what your vacation would look like. He introduced us to the Food and Beverage Manager at the Kandooma Café, who provided us with a run down on the options to eat and drink. We left and found our bags directly placed in our room from the Boat.
The following morning, I asked about an upgrade and was able to pay a little extra to move rooms to an overwater Villa as there was one available. This in itself was lovely as many locations will still want to charge the full rack rate, to have any discount was very much appreciated.
We choose the Stay Indulgent Package with Drinks as we thought it was easier then having to think about where to eat and when and how much drinks were costing etc. The Team also made sure that we could have our secluded dinner for two on the last evening on the top of the lighthouse viewing deck by ourselves as it was likely to have the best weather for the period.
I missed fishing one day with a communication error, so the Manager from the Kandooma Café found us in the Kitchen having dinner and bought in a fresh Snapper from the Fishing trip for us to taste. This was just astonishingly good service. I believe his name was Dashan (I apologise it's not correct) but what a gentleman throughout the whole stay.
Service in every location, Guest Services, the team at the Kandooma Café, The Kitchen, Watersports and the Room Attendants service was just first class. The Best I've experience globally and I'm going on 120 nights+ this year and these are 95% IHG hotels.
I also received an email today from Bandula to make sure we had a lovely time and to say thanks for coming. I just want to thanks the team for having us.
I can't say enough as to how lovely it was to spend time at the Holiday Inn Kandooma, we are already looking at when we can get back next year and we will repeatedly tell anyone who'll listen that they should make sure they get there as well.
Bandula, thanks so very much to you and the entire team.

The Holiday Inn Resort at Kandooma is a good property with some limitations that come with its location. The management is seriously involved in making sure guests are shielded from these limitations as far as possible for them. We noticed changes in the three years since our last visit and are happy to note these were immensely helpful in improving the stay experience.
