Ugly Location- Beautiful Hotel
By DavidDoom
The location is nothing special, but the hotel itself was gorgeous. They were still doing renovations so I did not get to enjoy the fitness center/pool or business center, but the room itself was [More] awesome. Outlets right near the bed, mounted tv, nice sitting area with desk facing tv for work. [Less]
Quick trip....great stay!
By bpeeps7
Check-in was quick and easy. The hotel still had some renovations that were not completed. but that did not get in our way during the stay. These were told to us during check-in! Room: We had a king [More] room. The room was spacious and was comfortable. We came for an event and were out pretty much the whole time. While walking to the room you could hear some music from one of the other rooms, but this was not heard in the room (not to panic)! Breakfast: We went for a late breakfast, close to closing time and it was still stocked. We did not feel rushed by the staff working the breakfast area. Overall - stay was great, and this location is recommended :) [Less]
Fantastic updates at this property
By Adele&Yvon
Stayed here last night to have a bit of a staycation. I was looking for a reasonable hotel with an indoor pool & hot tub, and this fit the bill. The room was brand new! There were charging outlets [More] (including USB outlets) everywhere. The room was nicely done with a very modern feel. No more heavy, overstuffed furniture here. Blackout curtains and heavy windows kept out the noise & light from Route 1. The room had a Keurig, too. If I had realized I would have brought my own pods. The pool area was clean and we were the only ones in there. Before checkout we hit the breakfast bar in the morning and found it to be very good. They had hot food (pancakes, eggs, sausage patties, sausage gravy & biscuits) as well as cereals and breads. Coffee and tea were plentiful. I was truly pleasantly surprised by the great updates at this place. I would definitely recommend it and I would stay again. [Less]
Always a pleasant stay!
By Mr willy
This was the second time we stayed here while seeing an event at the Prudential center which was just a few steps away. I travel a great deal for business and would say this hotel is one of the [More] nicest places I've stayed at while on the road. Surprisingly it is probably the cheapest as well. The room was very updated, large and comfortable. My wife even removed a pillow case to get the brand name of the pillows because they were so comfortable. If you are going to Newark this is a great place to stay. [Less]
I LOVE this place.....
By Susie QZee
This is my second time staying here. You would never know that in the midst of a somewhat scary area.... This hotel is FIRST CLASS. I wish I could remember everyone's name, I will start by saying [More] that Gilbert was great. We checked in a wee bit early... And he was able to accommodate us. Our room faced the clock tower! It was a beautiful view. We stayed here because we were attending an event at the Prudential center. The staff showed us the "back way" out through the restaurant (Alva) and I swear they watched us walk to the venue! 1000000% convenience!! The room was great.... Loved the automatic blinds and vintage feel. Bed was so comfy. We forgot a toothbrush... They brought one up within minutes. The restaurant, Alva, made strong drinks and amazing food!!! We will personally never forget the late night hamburger and fries we got. So delicious. This hotel likes their guests. I've traveled all over and they are as receptive as a 5 star resort. The aveda products are a plus.... But I just can't say enough about EVERYONE! From the valet, bell, cappuccino maker.... You all are awesome! [Less]
