Rated 3,0 out of 5,0 by Very small room with a large concrete column in the middle! On the outside and the web details this was a good hotel to stay in and we eagerly looked forward to staying here. Initially things were looking good until we got into our room. It was really small and had a large concrete colume roughly in the middle of the room next to the bed. This made it very difficult to move around particularly if you needed to get up in the night. When we checked in nothing was said about breakfast so unsure we checked the hotel guide in the room. Every hotel we have ever stayed in anywhere in the world has such a guide and provides you details on the services provided including breakfast. The guide mentioned lunch and dinner but nothing about breakfast so we assumed that breakfast was not a service provided. We found out on checkout that breakfast was provided and included in our price. So we wasted money going out to breakfast! Finally, there was a private function planned in the bar / restaurant on the Sunday which we found out when we arrived and went there to have a quick drink. whilst there were very small notes about it being closed the staff totally ignored us and when we asked were quite rude in their rersponse. We only wanted a drink and the function was several hours away so they could have let us have one without distrubing the arrangements. 4. Oktober 2014

The feeling of dread I experienced when I walked into a room with hard floors and ear plugs by the side of the bed was disheartening! The hotel itself is fantastic, the staff are great and the room service from Marco Pierre White's restaurant is amazing! However, the fact that the hotel know you need to wear ear plugs because of the noise means I will never stay here again. The room is bright, good air-con, lots of plugs, great wifi, lots of channels to choose from on tv, including sky sports and the bed is really comfortable. If you can sleep through a lot of noise it is a perfect hotel, or you can comfortably wear ear plugs. If you can't then do not stay here! 30. September 2014

Rated 5,0 out of 5,0 by Fantastic experience My wife and I booked this hotel for my birthday and our 10th Wedding anniversary. When we arrived we were greated by friendly and helpful reception staff and I was going to push for an upgrade due to our celebration but were taken aback when we were informed we had been upgraded already with a luxury room with balcony below Marco Pierre Whites Restaurant where we also had reservations. We made our way to the room excited about the upgrade and upon opening the door were met with a very spacious room, decorated to a high standard and a fantastic view of Birmingham through the massive floor to ceilling windows and pation doors that opened onto the balcony with rattan cubed furniture and an even better view. MPW restearant was opposite and only a floor above. The bed was big and comfy with pillows to match. Due to the size of the room however theTv was a little too far away and a bit small comapared to the room but only a minro issue. The bathroom was spacious yet compact with a double sink and large walk in shower with plenty of complimentary toiletries. The mirror was also self demisting. The were towels aplenty however think they are now in need of replacing for a hotel of luxury. We only used room service to get ice buckets during our stay and the room service fantastic with no sooner had we had put the phone down there was a knock at the door a few minutes later. Check out took all of a few minutes whilst another pleasant receptionist checked our bill and thanked us for our stay. No thank you. 28. September 2014
Rated 5,0 out of 5,0 by Excellent qulaity, customer satisfaction and location I recently to celebrate an evening at NIA and wedding anniversary selected the Indigo for an overnight experience. The overall service and quality of facilities was excellent and would strongly recommend to all. A great location both with excellent lunch and dinner facilities and a location that is surrounded by numerous eating restaurants to choose from - well sited. We also had a Spa Experience which was a last minute decision, however the team made the necessary arrangements, the treatments were great and well enjoyed. So glad we chose the Indigo, a great experience to celebrate our Anniversary 27. September 2014

Rated 5,0 out of 5,0 by Everything about our stay was amazing We went to Hotel Indigo for our friends birthday. Our time there was special and the staff helped to make this occasion special. I can not fault anything. The Hotel was spotless and the rooms have everything to hand. The ambiance in the restaruant and bars was amazing. The food was to die for and the staff were genuinely lovely and very attentive. We loved everything about it and will definately go again. 14. September 2014

The Indigo Birmingham offers: Spacious rooms with fantastic views - yes really! Excellent clean facilities Great breakfast Comfortable beds As a professional consultant who travels a lot, these are important as it allows me to focus on my work and then relax when I'm in the hotel. When I returned for my third week, after a long journey, I found a complimentary 'Welcome Back' brownie in my room. I was very impressed & grateful. I would recommend this hotel without question. 8. Rated 1,0 out of 5,0 by A let down The design of the building, hotel and rooms was excellent. I believe that the staff felt that this was job done and they needed add anything to the experience. I did not feel welcome. The room (although excellent in design and layout) was not clean and some of the furnishings were already tired. My teenage son was not allowed to use the pool of facilities, even though he was accompanied. Maybe a little precious I know, but my Gold IHG status was rubbished. A pity as 10 of my staff will be needing 4 nights accommodation on three separate occasions in the coming year - it will not be at this hotel. 7. September 2014

An excellent central location and fantastic views at breakfast from MPW on 25th Floor. Rated 4,0 out of 5,0 by Great Bed excellent staff The 1st impressions of the hotel were really good, very attentive and helpful reception staff. We dropped our bags early and they were in the room when we checked in later. The room was bright and airy with good city views but a little bit shabby and in need of a bit of TLC. Dinner in MPW was a real experience, our waiter (Alex) was a real character, friendly, helpful and sociable. The ambience was quite eclectic with a broad variety of people, good for people watching. 28. August 2014

Very , very small drawback it was difficult to find and no easy car access outside hotel entrance, very heavy parking restrictions. Once I knew of the car park round the corner it was easy. Rated 4,0 out of 5,0 by A mixture of Excellent and Poor Excellent location, rooms, spa etc. but the Saturday night thumping of bass music an inconvenience as break for all family was to relax and sleep! Hotel staff excellent dealing with the noise situation. Breakfast was so dissapointing. The quality of food was not great but the service was so poor it became unbelievable. The extremely efficient lady in charge kept telling the staff to serve us and they did not listen to her. On third occasion of speaking to lady in charge she said "what more could she do, she keeps telling them but...." This was such a shame as on a previous visit the breakfast and service was excellent. ( To cap it all the veggie breakfast contained pieces of bacon in the baked beans...oh dear not a good morning at the Indigo !) Despite the issues we experienced I would still return to hotel and would recommend to others.... 25. August 2014

From the moment that I checked in to the time I reluctantly checked out the service and experience was of the highest level. Very comfortable beds Exhilarating rain shower Excellent toiletries Fantastic restaurant and view Superb Spa It really does not get much better than this. Good value for money too. Rated 4,0 out of 5,0 Well run hotel Check in the first time was great, my second visit the key did not work the iift so I ended up going to the 25th floor and back (there were others in the lift); the second key impressions didn't unlock the room and the third time, with a different room finally worked but after a long day it wasn't great to take 15 mins to get into my room But... rooms are lovely (once you get in!), internet is quick so I could stream iplayer on my laptop and room service is swift with great quality food although the menu is a bit carb heavy and a few more salad options would be good. Spa pool (visit on my second visit) is great for a relax and chill All in all I would recommend this hotel 19. August 2014

No car park but directions to public car park at The Mailbox and told that the parking token could be activated for a 15% discount. Hotel is modern contemporary design, bright, and on the 23 and 24 floors of the building with picture windows and great viewsacross the city. Plus a restuarant and bar on the 25th floor which has 360 degree glass, plus an outside seating area with fantasic views. Lift is a little annoying. You need to insert the room card to access the bedroom floors. If you are not quick enough it flits between the restaurant an reception floors which are 18 levels apart! Bedroom was clean tidy well appointed but dissapointingly appeared a little tired ,the wardrobe had chipped paint, the towel rail in the bathroom was loose and at risk of pulling out of the wall. However the bed was comfy and all linen was fine. Only ate breakfast. As it was the weekend we had a two for one deal, otherwise it would have been pricey at £18 a head and we would probably have headed into the city. Full english breakfast looked and tasted lovely but was only warm and not hot. However there was a good selection of fruit juices, cereals and continental options and you can have as much as you like. Service was really good with polite attentive and friendly staff. Did pop to the bar one afternoon. Waiter service only which was slow and we seemed to be the slowest. However once they realised we had been waiting probably about 15 minutes for a drink they were apologetic and quick to rectify. In summary would I recommend it and would i stay again - inspite of the negative points above, yes. it has a generally nice feel to it, and if they address the minor points then it was good value for money, well placed for the city centre and with a plenty of bars and restaurants a few paces away, that have a great lively atmosphere but with the bedrooms 20 floors up they dont impact upon a a good nights sleep 15. Rated 5,0 out of 5,0 by First class. Great location, service and accommodation Stayed just the one night on business, however will certainly return with my wife for a weekend! Set on the top 3 floors of the Cube (part of the mailbox) the views of Birmingham are impressive - benefiting from floor to ceiling windows. The room was clean and spacious. The service and welcome excellent. I would thoroughly recommend eating at the Marco Pierre White Steak restaurant - service and food quality was first class, price was reasonable. If I'd arrived a little earlier i would have eaten in the many restaurants within a stones throw of the hotel, however glad I ate on site. Get a window seat if possible! Breakfast is served in the MPW restaurant, so again a high standard of ingredients and service. Whether on Business or Leisure i'm sure you won't be disappointed - some of the rooms had balconies, a definite to try and book Only criticism was the parking - you only get a 15% reduction on parking in the mailbox, which is about a 5 minute walk from reception (and not obviously sign posted). 15. Rooms are quite minimalist in design and in block colours - okay if you like that particular colour! Beds comfy. Some great views over the city. Bar meal was fine although as a single female I felt I was invisible to the staff! 12. August 2014
