This was our third stay dating back to the reopening of this hotel as a Hotel Indigo and unless things change it will be our last. The hotel has so much potential given the beautiful and historic neighborhood that it is located in and its access to great restaurants and Lake Shore Drive. The problem is that the décor is getting worn out including bubbling of the laminate floor, holes in the curtain sheers and an overall tired appearance of the painted walls and doors. Additionally, we had to ask twice for a broken shower head to be replaced and the bed linens, pillows and towels are sub-grade for a hotel of this type and price.

Pillows must have been 20 years old. Shower head came off when we adjusted it. Had a friend in another room with the same issues.

Great hotel for a short stay - basically for business. Many places are within walking distance.

This is an awesome boutique hotel located in the Old Town neighborhood. It is a very nice area and we (two women) felt safe waking it day and night. The location is close to the red line subway (two blocks away) and several buses. Lake Shore Dr/Michigan Avenue is within walking distance.
The hotel looks very hip and cool with a nice bar and sitting area upon entering. The front desk staff was friendly and very extremely helpful from the moment of arrival. They answered questions and provided travel information on a daily basis – both day and night with patience and smiles on faces. The doorman and security staff were equally helpful.
The room was clean, quiet, spacious with beds that sit high off the floor which was a nice change. .
The only thing really missed was the lack of a refrigerator and/or microwave in the room. Outside of that this was a perfect visit and I would stay at this hotel again.

I was pleasantly surprised by this boutique hotel!
The room was spacious and bright. We had an amazing view of the Lake from our room. Better than the hotels downtown. The decor was bright and airy.
We were in walking distance to several hot spots.
I will definately return and recommend!

Good rooms, TV was a bit far from the bed.
and not enough outlets near the bed for charging phones and laptop.
They had outlets just clear across the room near the TV..

My visit to Hotel Indigo was very enjoyable. The neighborhood is upscale and bustling with activity. My complete surprise was the comfort of the mattress and bed linens. With an aging body, the support was a welcome amenity. I brought my granddaughter to Chicago as a gift for her 13th birthday. This was her first stay in a boutique hotel and she was excited about the experience. Indigo staff was delightful, helpful and always accommodating. Overall, this was a very nice experience.
