The rooms are very small, walls are not insulated well so sleeping is difficult because I could hear all conversations as if they were right in my room. People in the halls returning late at night, heard everything there as well. Fitness center was not good. Would not stay there again. It was clean however. 4. Dezember 2014

Larger room with extra sitting area. Our bathroom and shower were on the smaller side...this is really the only drawback. But my son was in the next room and his bathroom/shower was larger. Will definately consider staying here again! 3. Dezember 2014

The hotel staff is very friendly and are willing to help you with anything you need. The hotel is in a great neighborhood and is very family friendly. I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Chicago. 2. Dezember 2014

This is not outside noise, but inside noise from the heater / furnace / something in the walls near our room. Rated 1,0 out of 5,0 by Perhaps the worst hotel experience ever I prepaid my six-night hotel stay at Hotel Indigo, thinking that I would get a good rate, only to see that prices dropped 50% a few days after I booked. I accepted this--after all these things happen--but ended up having a terrible experience at the hotel. The guests staying in the rooms adjoining mine on the 9th floor were partying all night, running up and down the hallway, screaming and slamming doors. They would generally calm down at dawn. Also, I had paid for breakfast to be included in the price of the room, so I received vouchers to use at breakfast. When I got to the restaurant for breakfast, the first thing the waiter said to me--quite rudely--when he saw the vouchers was: "Tax and tip are not included in these." As if I had gotten them for free, when the truth was they cost me more than the value of the breakfast I ended up eating. I also had two vouchers for drinks at the bar, and when I presented them to the bartender, he glared and said: "These don't include tax and tip." In addition, the front desk staff couldn't recommend a single restaurant, and one staff member even told me there were no restaurants nearby--a total lie, since the only good thing about Hotel Indigo is its proximity to terrific Chicago restaurants. I'll never stay here or at another Hotel Indigo ever again. 30. November 2014
Rated 5,0 out of 5,0 by Quick Anniversary Get Away Had a delightful one night stay. Usually places don't live up to the pictures. I thought this place was cuter than the pictures. Lots of nice little touches in the room as well. Very comfy bed. We did get the fire escape "view." But when we asked about this, we were told we either get a view, a larger room, or a king sized bed. In the end, I was happy with what we got. The neighborhood is great. Lots of good choices within walking distance. Definitely want to go back. 30. November 2014
Rated 3,0 out of 5,0 by Good price, good location, okay hotel Located 6-8 blocks away from the bustle of Michigan Avenue, Hotel Indigo allows a bit more of a sense of Chicago for locals. Two good restaurants are on the block, and the subway and major bus routes are within 2 blocks. The price is very good, and rooms are fine; the hotel seems to be aiming a bit beyond its capacities--there's an in-room fireplace, but furniture was stained and jammed in a bit tight, with no dressers or luggage racks. There's a lobby bar and restaurant, but both stayed uncomfortably empty. We were hoping for a comfortable place to hang out during a November visit--to warm up from the cold, and perhaps do some people-watching in the lobby; instead, it functioned more as a fine place to sleep. 30. Rated 2,0 out of 5,0 by Poor hotel The hotel has real problems. In the frigid weather the heat was not good in the rooms. I was able to change from a room with no heat to a room that was very small and too hot, but colleagues complained about how cold their rooms were. The computers in the business center are bad and it was impossible to get my e-mail and very difficult to even print a boarding pass. The restaurant is not good and the service is quite dreadful. The front desk staff is pleasant but not efficient (hard to get change, for example). All in all, not a hotel I would want to stay at again. 24. November 2014

Rated 4,0 out of 5,0 by Excellent - but some questions about breakfast A comfortable stay. Greeted nicely by staff at desk. Big spacious room, at good value (reflecting platinum upgrade). Lots of trash in the corridor after check-in but this was cleared up. I booked 'breakfast included' but was told I had to choose between coffee and orange juice, until the duty manager came and fixed that. Other than that, highly recommended. Good neighborhood. Rated 4,0 out of 5,0 by Didn't get my points I was a little disappointed for not getting my points for the parking I charged to my room just because I was on a gift certificate. That's the only reason I charged the parking to my room instead of just paying directly. On a better note, the doorman, Ed was fantastic!! He knew all the places to go and was extremely helpful!! I did have a small problem with the vending machine but it was solved after the lady at the desk almost accused me of trying to rip her off by not believing me that it ate my money....not very professional that I had to wait 15 minutes at the desk for her to get back just to get that kind of treatment. 14. Rated 4,0 out of 5,0 by Bright and Chery, with mini-peaks of Lake Michigan This was my first experience with an Indigo property, so I was very curious. We got upgraded to a suite, which was very spacious and made our Friends Reunion even more enjoyable. The only downer was the fake wood linoleum floor--ugh! The staff was mixed: half were friendly and laid back, half were downright aloof and borderline unresponsive. We had to be very patient to finally get bar service, and then it was with a frown. Location was perfect. Didn't eat in, so can't speak to food / dining service. 13. November 2014

The room this time was nice, but I could see it needed a little attention. We had a couple of issues, but they were addressed immediately, which they always have been! I can see that the bathrooms could use a little TLC, but the location more than makes up for the tired bathroom (which is not where I'm hoping to spend my time while I'm there anyhow)! They always had answers and solutions for where to visit or how to get to other attractions. Food down in the lobby was very good and the doormen were very helpful as well. Will recommend this hotel to others and hope to stay here again if ever in Chicago. 11. November 2014

But was makes this hotel so appealing is the outstanding customer service at the front desk. Dina was so very helpful in many ways and made our visit here so much more enjoyable. It is a rare to have a friendly and helpful front desk employee and I will stay here again for many reasons, but Dina, will be a major reason. 11. November 2014
