Rated 4,0 out of 5,0 by Overnight stopover I have no hesitation in recommending the Hotel Indigo in Newcastle. The room was refreshingly decorated, well equipped and comfortable. The only negative was the rooms location opposite the lifts which resulted in some disturbance so I would advise requesting a quiet room if you want to sleep soundly! Breakfast was excellent with a good range of options. Overall a nice place to stay. 18. Oktober 2014

Rated 5,0 out of 5,0 by Well situated friendly hotel Hotel Indigo was situated in a good position in relation to the city centre and station. We had rooms on the fourth floor which were nice and quiet. The staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. The room itself was very comfortable with a small balcony. We ate in the Marco Pierre White restaurant one evening which was very nice and reasonably priced. Breakfast was excellent. We would stay there again. 14. Oktober 2014
Rated 2,0 out of 5,0 by On the whole.......fine I stayed two nights B&B, the room was clean, a decent size and comfortable bed. The banging of doors in the long corridors did become annoying after the first few hours, and the doors don't automatically close fully behind you, and upon walking the corridors it was obvious a number of people didn't realise such! My remote for the tv didn't work owing to dead batteries but after leaving a note for the cleaners these were replaced on day two. At breakfast it initially felt as though I was invisible. Despite the restaurant being awash with waitresses they clearly had been advised that showing people to a table was "beyond their remit", so instead I received no acknowledgement nor confirmation that someone would be with me soon. When the greeter did arrive and show me to my table she poured me a glass of orange juice, but also poured it over the table. Despite repeated apologies and promises to "get it cleared up straight away" I sat for my whole meal with piles of soggy napkins in front of me and a sticky table. The food was very like the standard expected in an airport lounge, not fantastic but not offensive. Upon leaving it was also assumed I had used the car park (£12pn) and this had been automatically added to my bill, needless to say I hadn't, so be aware! On the whole the experience was "fine" 14. We ended our West to East walk of Hadrian's Wall here and it was certainly a nice way to end our trip. The hotel is upscale, clean and modern with all the amenities you need and want. Rated 5,0 out of 5,0 by Great Overnight Stay with Excellent Staff service from arrival to depart Quick and easy / efficient check in service - swiftly followed with Colleen - front of house finding us comfortable seating in an already packed "Fizz Friday" - bar area - then ensuring excellent hospitality with service for our perfectly chilled champagne and nibbles- yummmmm. She continued to provide this service throughout our period in the bar area - working non stop looking after all customers - giving them the same exceptional service - it was tiring watching her but lovely to be looked after at this level! We ate in the Marco Pierre White Restaurant - could not fault anything - again staff and service second to non. Rooms very comfortable and clean. Breakfast - very welcoming reception on entry to the restaurant - and again staff were very helpful. A really good enjoyable and relaxing hotel with staff making it a most memorable occasion - will certainly go back again. 10. Oktober 2014

This appeals to customers like us looking for a weekend break without the hassle of finding fine dining elsewhere. Staff unfailingly cheerful and helpful. Also, good to have entertainment on the Saturday. 10. Oktober 2014
