Rooms are comfortable and up to date. Large pool with great view of mountains. This hotel has its own walking trail. Good breakfast but room is too small for the crowd. Easy to get luggage from parking lot to room. Located near Blue Ridge Parkway and 5 miles from Biltmore.

We were only in for one night but had a great stay. Room, lobby and pool area were very nice and they had a little mountain trail to walk your pet in this pet friendly hotel.

Was a very welcoming place (like much of Asheville people) but was genuinely helped and treated well. Large parking lot made it easy to find a spot and the pool was nice and deep!

Be sure to tell desk clerk that you do not want a pet friendly floor. We encountered 5 dogs right around our room. One room had three dogs in it.

The Holiday Inn Biltmore East is a very nice hotel. From the time you enter the front doors, you are greeted by décor that is appropriate for a mountain town. The front-desk staff were very nice, informative and accommodating. The hotel is centrally located so that you are a short trip to town, easy access to I-40 and the Blue Ridge Parkway. The room was nice and clean. I do wish that the room temperature was thermostatically controlled because it was virtually impossible to get the temperature just right and the AC was a little noisy. The Wi-Fi was spotty, but hey, we were supposed to be out enjoying ourselves anyway. We will certainly stay here again.

We were travleing on a motorcycle trip along the Blue Ridge Parkway. This location was a great choice for us.
We really enjoyed our stay here and the on site restaurant was a welcome site after a long day on the bikes.
This is one of the better Holiday Inn locations we have stayed in.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Larry3228 Clean, Quiet, Great Views
The hotel was quiet, the room was clean, the bed was fairly comfortable but we didn't like the pillows - they were a polyester down and they didn't give any support. The view out the window was great.
Breakfast was good. It was the same each of the 4 days we stayed, but there was enough variety so that didn't matter. They had real plates, glasses and silverware. The staff kept the trays full and quickly removed your dishes when you were done.
The location is convenient to Biltmore, the Blue Ridge Parkway and Black Mountain.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Beautiful hotel with friendly staff
We chose the Holiday Inn at Biltmore East due to its close proximity to the Biltmore Estate (our primary reason for visiting Asheville this time). The hotel was easy to find, and just a short drive to our destination. The hotel reception staff was friendly and eager to make sure we enjoyed not only our stay at the Holiday Inn, but also our stay in Asheville. Our room was very clean and very nicely decorated. The hotel allows pets, however aside from seeing a few dogs in and around the lobby, I would not have known this from the clean appearance, the lack of pet odor and the absence of 'evidence'. In all it is a wonderful place to say and I would stay there again.

This hotel is in a terrific location, easily accessible to the Biltmore Estate and right off Route 40. The staff are more than helpful, a terrific plus from a tired, weary traveler. This facility has a little walking path behind the hotel which is an added benefit for someone who spent 12 hours behind the wheel of a car. The restaurant cooked a delicious meal for dinner, and the waitress went out of her way to obtain some information about the food that was served it was mouth watering!. Rooms are very clean and fresh, and provide an excellent view of the mountains that surround this hotel.
I would truly recommend this hotel to adult travelers looking for the extra couple of perks this facility provides.

We spent one night here on our vacation. I used my rewards points to pay for the room. Was very pleased from the moment we arrived. Very neat and clean. It's a beautiful place.
FREE hot breakfast in the morning.
When we were checking out, we were asked how we liked our room, because it had just been renovated.
You could tell that the staff here take pride in their jobs. Very satisfied with everything.

Stay was just ok. Old facility, no microwave or refrigerator in our room but seemed other rooms had been updated a little.
Best thing was breakfast. Fiesta ware, glass coffee and juice cups,
Real silverware along with good food.
Evening meal was good but service was slow. Front desk staff always friendly and helpful.
Facility a little overpriced for the condition.

That stay at the hotel was great. The staff was top notch from the front desk to the maid/clean service. The breakfast buffet was good - it was free. Room and hotel very clean. Easy to get to the hotel. Our room was on the front side so there was some hightway noise but not to bad.
We eat dinner at the hotel one night - not very impressed - the food was ok.
Other nights we eat out.

You all should ask about being next to the swimming pool! What a nitemare! What time does it close? We had to be at Mission at 7:00 the next morning! After those teens left the pool, I am sure it was very late! We got very little sleep. Put those people next to the pool that want to stay up all nite!!!!!

I picked this hotel due to its close proximity to the Biltmore estate, which was our primary reason for visiting. We were very pleased with the hotel and the surrounding area. Close to Asheville and many fine restaurants. We would definitely stay here again should we choose to visit or we definitely would recommend to our friends and family. The AC unit shut off a couple of times during the first night but we figured out it had to be turned all the way up in order to stay on or come on when the room temp rose. Other than that, we knew it was a pet friendly hotel and saw many dogs but we never heard a peep from them so it was never an issue with us. The walking trail was cute and obviously a great spot to walk the dog, but we enjoyed getting out early one morning and walking it before breakfast. Great selection of foods to choose from at the complimentary breakfast, we never left the table hungry. Great job to all the wonderful staff for making our visit a memorable one.

We very seldom bring our two dogs on trips with us but the experience here at the Holiday Inn-Biltmore East may have changed our minds. Absolutely LOVED the Dogwood Trail connected to the property. We take our dogs hiking all the time and they loved it just as much. The staff was wonderful, the rooms were very clean, the full hot breakfast buffet in the morning was great (not your typical continental hotel breakfasts) and getting into downtown Asheville and to the Blue Ridge Pkwy (very close to the hotel) was a breeze. The live music on the bar patio was an added treat. Brad is a very talented musician and I wish him all the best in his music career! Thanks for a terrific weekend getaway!!!

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by TheYeti It could be worse
I was a given a mountain view room as requested but apparently that meant facing a concrete wall and AC units. When I informed the front staff, they were very apathetic and didn't seemed to care at all. It could have been worse.
The room was also dirty with furniture that was in desperate need of repair or replacement and it felt as if the beds were on their last legs. It could have been worse.
I will point out though that the kitchen staff was impressive with both the selection of items and the ease with which they seemed to accommodate the rush of people at once.
At the end of the day, I wouldn't recommend this hotel and will be staying at the other property on the west side when I return to Asheville so that I don't have to consider how much worse it could be.

after traveling across country and being told by Holiday Inn Express one after another that they wouldnt accomodate me wirh my pet, This was a great treasure to find in the Blue Ridge Mountains! This IHG property was one of the best I have stayed at. They even have a nice walking trail behind the hotel. They welcomed both me and my pet Lab "Molly".
