Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Friendly staff made to feel welcome The front desk staff very friendly and helpful room top class and very comfortable all restaurants required in walking distance, most enjoyable stay. May 13, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by excellent reception people and service Hard place to find--need better signage Hotel staff very personable. Room very comfortable Lots of services and rstaurants nearby May 13, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Priority Club I think this is the first time since I joined Holiday Inn's Priority Club Membership that I haven't been treated as a special guest. I couldn't believe that it would ever bother me, but it did. This is why I became a member is the special feeling one gets checking in to your properties , , , , this visit I was just another off the street visitor. I will be back in the fall if not sooner and I am hoping to use some of my 60 thousand points for a get away, so I hope for a better feeling. May 13, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Business Stay This HI is a very good, clean and quiet location. I've stayed here several times over the past two years. Room quality, staff and service is consistent and is what I expect from Holiday Inn. Good access to restaurants, downtown and a local shopping mall and theatre. Will stay here again for business or vacation.. May 12, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice rooms/ so so food service Very nice rooms, good front desk attentiveness. I wish they had the option of feather pillows over the usual like some hotels. The food was a little disappointing and the wine choice was somewhat abysmal. Yes, I have a little higher standards being from calif. But Asheville has very good food and wine, but not this hotel May 11, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by I stay here whenever I come to Asheville I always try to book a room here when I'm in Asheville. As a Platinum Priority Club member they have always gotten me a room upgrade. I have found the staff at the front desk to be pleasant and helpful at all times- starting the day or ending. Many times at "Manager's Receptions" at other hotels you end up with some person who gets stuck serving beer to tired business people or vacationers. Last visit I had the pleasure of actually having a chat with one of the managers- Brandon. He represents the hotel so well!! The only negative I can find to the hotel is the available items on the food menu in the bar. It seems like the pride they take in everything else could translate into a bit more variety there. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great place to stay when in town great atmosphere, awesome town and the hotel is conveniently located. May 9, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by VERY DISAPPOINTED Having spent a wonderful night in The Staybridge Suites in Greenville, which is part of the same chain as The Holiday Inn, we chose to stay here on the strength of that experience . It was a mistake. I requested a quiet king room and was given a room directly beside the lifts and opposite the vending machine. When I asked for a different room I was told that none was available. I pointed out that I had specifically requested a quiet room. The front desk staff member then tried to blame the confusion on the website that I had used to make the booking. I pointed out that it was their own IHG website which I had used. And I reminded him of the Holiday Inn mission statement. We were then offered a double queen room. Poor service and a bad attitude. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Service I don't get to travel and stay in hotels a lot, but I must say my stay in the Holiday Inn in Asheville, NC last weekend was great. The service was great, the rooms were clean and spacious, the staff were courteous and friendly and the amenities were wonderful. Loved swimming in the indoor/outdoor pool and the hot tub. I would definitely stay there again and recommend it to my friends. The only bad point was the parking. There just wan't enough. May 5, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice in every way My stay was very enjoyable. The convenient location made travel to every location easy. The surrounding shopping and restaurants were within easy walking distance. May 5, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by This was ok. This was ok. I was disappointed there was no continental breakfast and the pillows weren't very big. Also, we had visible water damage stains on the bathtub and counter which was off putting. I felt we didn't get a great value for our stay. May 3, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great value We stayed for 2 nights apr19th&20th.The staff was very helpful. The room was comfortable, very clean &fresh smealing.A great location.easy to get downtown as well as the Biltmore. We would stay there again for sure April 26, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great hotel but disappointed This would be a great hotel if the food was better April 17, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Hotel We had a great stay ! The location of this hotel is wonderful.. close to everything. Our room was very clean and beds very comfortable. The only negative was the young lady at the bar .. My husband and I wanted to have a few drinks our first evening and the bar tender went on what she called "breaks" every few minutes. We got tired of having to wait for her to get a drink and just went to bed!.. Behind that this hotel is very nice ! April 11, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by good comfort I expect from Holiday Inn The location was great, close to downtown where we went for dinner and right off the interstate. The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet even tho we were close to the highway. We had to pay for breakfast as it was not included in our room rate but it was not expensive and the food was fine. Only thing I noticed was that the lobby has a strong smell of chlorine from the pool (which we did not look at or use) but it was only right there and not anywhere else. Overall would recommend it and would stay there again. April 2, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Hotel I have stayed here before and it is always a great place to stay and the location is good also. Close to many different restaurants. Bar and restaurant in hotel are good. April 2, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by The rooms are very nice and comfortable Highly recommend and close to downtown. The staff is very nice March 22, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easy Access to lots of fun things It was our first time in Ashville so it was important to find a location that was easy to get to from the interstate, but then easy to tour the city from. Staff was excellent. They provided great directions to the places we wanted to see. Room was great. March 21, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by The best in Asheville This property combines location with the best facilities to make business trips in Asheville a pleasure. March 16, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Convenient Location and Great Service I had a great experience at the Holiday Inn in Downtown Asheville for a one night stay. My check-in time took less than one minute it felt like and the room was very clean and modern. The front desk took time to call a cab for me when I needed one and let me check out a little later for my convenience. In all, it was a great experience. March 13, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by LOVED MY STAY IN ASHEVILLE THE ROOM AND STAFF WERE GREAT!!!!! LOCATED IN A GREAT AREA. January 22, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by great business trip I travel to this area frequently for business. The room is always clean, staff is very friendly and efficient, check- in is a breeze. Even though I am on business I always seem to sleep very well. And I love the water and AM newspaper....why stay anywhere else. January 8, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Asheville The room and staff were excellent. The dining room was fair. The only negative for this location is the factg that it is situated behind behind a car maintenance shop and you have to drive by a large empty restaurant (which has been empty for over one year). January 7, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by I always stay here When in town, I always stay here. It is easy to get to, right off the highway bypass plus it is in walking distance of a couple of very good restaurants! I have never had a bad experience here but I suggest getting a room that is opposite of Tunnel Rd because it has a more pleasant view. January 7, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by great service, great staff and great location the best of everything when visiting Asheville, NC. I will definitely come back to this property January 7, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great place to stay! Wonderful hotel to stay in for shopping and activities in Asheville. We will stay in this hotel again! December 9, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Location Welcome desk helped us with all our needs. It is only 1 mile walk to downtown which we took full advantage of to save a cab ride. Great place, great location, and most important a great staff. December 7, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by GREAT Wonderful place to stay....nice staff and very convient December 5, 2012
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Very nice hotel but a bit hard to find This new Holiday Inn has a lot to recommend it - beautiful rooms with amenities (I love having a refrigerator & microwave in the room!), very nice staff, and a very good price. Our only problem was that it was a bit hard to find - it's back behind some other restaurants, and there was no sign directing you to it. Since we arrived at night, we had to drive up and down the street a few times before we could figure out how to get to it - we could see the actual hotel from the street, but not how to access it. I would suggest a sign placed on the main road would be helpful. Other than that, I would recommend this hotel to anyone - it wasn't far from downtown Asheville and only a few miles from the Biltmore, which was our primary reason for travelling to Asheville.
