The staff of Hotel Indigo quickly got to know who we were and made our wedding weekend exceptional. Our guests enjoyed the unique hotel and relaxed in the courtyard. We had a wonderful cocktail party, catered dinner and after dinner gathering for 140 people in the Rialto Room. The hotel and catering staff were seamless.
I look forward to staying here on our next trip South.

We stayed at Hotel Indigo Athens for the Twilight Criterium. This was my 3rd year attending the race and my first stay at Hotel Indigo. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and were impressed with the unique décor and design that sets the Indigo family of hotels apart from the boring cookie cutter ones where we've stayed in the past. I do wish that there was an exhaust fan in the bathrooms to help prevent fogged mirrors and humidity build up. Additionally, I wish the breakfast was complimentary as you will find this is common for most other hotels that charge the same nightly rate. All in all-- we will back yearly if not twice a year for future trips to Athens. The best part was probably the roominess of each guest room as well as the comfort of the king sized beds! We were also impressed with Hotel Indigo in Jacksonville this past weekend!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Vdar Good, but one problem
The staff was extremely helpful, especially the lady at the front desk. Everybody was helpful. I was there at a conference with my wife. Everything went ok except the lunch, could be a better service. I thought that the lady who was serving at lunch almost was watching us and told us that my wife would have to wait until everybody ate lunch even though we had asked the person on day one. She felt that they had some misunderstanding and did not have enough lunch since my wife ate. We were vegetarians, some of the stuff they had, we didn't even eat. My wife had one bread and some veggies, ice tea. Are you telling me that the cook could not make enough for about 30 people. Whenever in this situation, the cook usually makes extra at least for five people. I was embarrased when the lady asked me in front of everybody. We did not eat after that. Very unprofessional from the lady. Every body else was really good and helpful especially the lady at the front in the morning.

Staff and hotel are great. The location is in walking distance to just several places to eat, shop or have a socail drink.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by ewilling Nice design, fast depreciation
This new hotel in Athens provides a nice new look. But the hotel is wearing fast. My room had a broken lock and tiles falling out in the shower. I was very surprised how worn it had become in such a short period of time. The staff was great and I can't complain about value, but wish they would maintain things before they get too far gone.

Everything you would expect in a boutique hotel. My daughter and I stayed for a week and felt safe and taken care of. However, a microwave and refrigerator in the room would have been nice.

We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel while our friends were getting married. The hotel was beautiful and the rooms were really nice. The only thing I really did not like was the fact we had to pay $10 per night to park in their gated parking lot. The hotel room was already slightly expensive but then to add an additional cost to park is a little over the top. Overall is was a nice hotel and if you have the money to stay then you should enjoy it. It is within walking distance of a lot of shops and places to eat!

Our romantic weekend stay was exquisite. The staff was friendly and accommodating. We were recognized as priority members and treated like royalty. Our room was comfortable, clean, and the light from the large panel windows was fantastic. We loved being able to walk downtown for a night out but could have had a lively weekend without leaving the hotel at all. Thank you for the hospitality. Hotel Indigo made our trip.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by lindy360 Too expensive for experience
The rooms were wonderful, especially the shower.
But....lighting in bathroom was poorly designed.
Found men's dirty underwear in bathroom when 1st checked in.
Maids did not replace toiletry items needed each day.
Only hotel in Athens, including other comparable hotels, that does not offer guests free coffee in the lobby through out the day.
Most all staff members were quite snooty!
Overall, my husband and I felt as though we were doing Hotel Indigo a favor by staying with them instead of them making us feel as welcomed guests.

The staff at this hotel are amazing. They remembered me from a year ago and one of the housekeeping staff remembered the name of my dog!! The facility is flawless. The beds are comfortable and the showers have great pressure. A perfect stay.

I am always reluctant to stay in a college town when said college has a football team (at least I think this is true in Athens). I travel weekly for my job back in Florida and only wish this hotel was on my travel circuit...this place rocks...

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by HappyMOB Great service for our daughter's wedding weekend.
The staff was most accommodating and gracious as we planned the use of Hotel Indigo's facilities for our daughter's wedding and reception. All of the staff, including the front desk, food and beverage, and housekeeping worked hard in making sure all details were taken care of. The Rialto Room private facility is well designed for large events, in this case the reception, and the courtyard well suited for the wedding ceremony. We were very pleased in all aspects of our experience at Hotel Indigo - Athens!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by McCorch1 Exlempary Service and Style
As a frequent guest at the Hotel Indigo, besides the aesthetically pleasing architecture and overall warmth of the hotel itself, the staff has more than exceeded expectations. Having stayed at the hotel for an extended amount of time, I have more than likely been more demanding of staff than a typical guest; from the front desk, to management, to the staff at the bistro, to housekeeping, I have been refreshingly accommodated at every request and more than appreciative of the professionalism, friendliness, and courtesy with which they have consistently responded .
If you enjoy a well-designed hotel with rooms featuring floor-to-ceiling windows, expansive dimensions, and all of the amenities you expect from a boutique hotel, the Hotel Indigo is for you. But, if you really appreciate high-end, quality customer service (not exactly ubiquitous in most establishments), then you'll be doing yourself a favor staying there.

Overall the hotel was very nice and a refreshing change from other places I have stayed. My only complaint has to do with the walled patio area. The pour concrete foundation wall behind the trellis is really disappointing. I get the concept of the hotel; the whole minimalist idea. But a poured concrete foundation wall? Complete with form marks? Really? I felt like the bride and groom got married in the unfinished area of my basement; the view was so similar I had to remind myself I was at a nice hotel, not next to my lawn mower and gardening gear. Even the overhead trellis was reminiscent of floor joists thanks to their proximity to the pour wall. Of course, the happy couple was oblivious so that's all that matters, right?
The Rialto Room was a very nice venue for the reception, one of the best I've ever seen for a wedding reception.

I HATE wicker baskets. I could not get the wi-fi to work. No fridge! The beds are not boxed in at the bottom, so things can slip under there. I had to retrieve a pen, and guess what--I don't think the staff has EVER dusted under there.
The big plus is that the shower head is actually high enough so that an average size man doesn't have to duck down to get his head wet. The detachable wand is a nice touch,

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Mavistoo More Comfortable than Home
I thought my bed at home was nice, but the bed and linens at Hotel Indigo were the best ever. I awoke feeling relaxed and pain free (I often wake up a bit stiff in the joints).
My sleep was undisturbed, by noise or light. It was truly one of the best hotel stays ever, and I've traveled a lot.
One negative - the breakfast was disappointing. Not very tasty. So, eat out.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by NLPS My experience over four years
My daughter has been a student at the University of Georgia for 4 years, and I have been a happy lodger at the Hotel Indigo every time I have visited her. I have stayed in a variety of rooms, and have been very content, from the comfortable beds to the interesting, spacious, and clean architecture... and, of course, to the wonderful service. I would like to commend the staff at the front desk - especially the wonderful night manager, who often cheerfully greeted me by name during the early morning hours after I returned from a night with my daughter's friends. The cleaning staff was also helpful, kind and accommodating - with a special mention of a particularly sweet and attractive black lady with very short, white hair! :) I am so sad that my regular trips to Athens and the Indigo have come to an end, but my beautiful memories of my daughter's 4 years at UGA will certainly include my happy stays at your wonderful hotel! Thank you!

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by dks310 Very disappointing
Our first room was dirty and no hot water. We were upgraded and moved to a suite. The suite was a nice size but very dirty. The two area rugs were full of stains (the hotel is pet friendly) and powder deodorant to try to cover the smell. The wood floors were filthy. The towel we used to "mop up" was black with filth and pet hair. We reported all of this to the front desk as well as the fact that we rolled up the rugs and placed them in the hall to be picked up; the rugs remained in the hall for two days and the floors were not cleaned as promised by front desk.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by lorila staff was top notch, lounge/bar very nice
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Hotel Indigo Athens, GA. The hotel staff was really what made my stay great. Check-in was prompt and efficient, even though a full vanload of us arrived from the airport at the same time. During my stay I asked one of the desk clerks for a recommendation for a running route. He was incredibly friendly and helpful, mapped out a couple of alternatives, and the next day he even followed up to ask me how it was (and then suggested a longer route for me to try for a bigger challenge!) Throughout my stay the staff was always friendly and accommodating.
I loved the lobby lounge/bar area, which had much more personality than your typical hotel bar. It extended to a wonderful outdoor seating area with a fire pit. While I was there they had a terrific acoustic guitar/singer playing in the lounge and I felt comfortable sitting there with a book and listening to the music w/o any pressure to make a bar purchase.
The rooms are functional and modern with quite spare decor. I did find that my room had a thin layer of dust in the corners (hardwood floors) and windowsill, but other than that appeared to be clean.
The hotel is a short walk to downtown (3 blocks maybe?) and within walking distance of many bars and restaurants.
If I am ever in Athens again, I would definitely revisit the Hotel Indigo.

I LOVE Hotel Indigo! This was my second time to stay here and both were perfect. The hotel is beautiful, very clean and always has a refreshing smell. The rooms are spacious and comfortable with great beds and pillows. The staff is always friendly and helpful with anything you need. This hotel is definitely at the top of my list of favorite places to stay.
PS- I also love the Aveda products stocked in the bathroom.

In town for a conference....chose the hotel because it was the host hotel and some of the events were at the hotel. Things I liked:
1. very comfortable bed
2. good setup for internet, laptops, and plugins for chargers
3. easy walking distance to conference center and downtown restaurants
4. good health club
5. nice decor and appointments
6. love the hardwood floors
7. hotel staff was knowledgeable, friendly, helpful, and very customer oriented
8. location is a good neighborhood
did not like
1. that this is a green hotel and the lights are controlled by your room key....other green features are OK
2. that parking in their lot cost extra, but I WAS able to park on the street for no cost

The hotel has a unique feel with hardwood floors, "green" friendly things like recycling, single off switch for all lights, etc. The staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, and the price was very reasonable for the quality of the hotel.
