Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Poor stay for a change Having stayed many times over the past few months this was the first disappointing stay. I left luggage with reception on the day before check in. When i arrived I was told there was no luggage for me, and it must have been moved up to my room for me. I was worried it wasn't in my room but having gone batck to reception, it was then found in the luggage store. Not a good start. The room itself was disappointing, it was poorly organised and seemed a room that was "wedged in" on the floor. The wardrobe storage was in a corner of the room with no lighting covering it, the wardrobe doors could not open wide, so if there was internal lighting it could not activate. A table and chair next to it block either the wardrobe or the walk way to the bed. The tables either side of the bed were oddly furnished with different lamps, 1 a table lamp and the other floor standing, it just didn't look right. After returning to the hotel to watch sports in my room, the channels were not working. Reception advised to turn it off and on at the wall - very difficult when a tv is bolted in front of it. They then advised they would send housekeeping up to look at it. Waiting was unnecessary as it was fixed 2 days later. On thursday morning I requested housekeeping take a shirt for laundry, when i got back from work it had not been washed. reception said they could take it then but it wouldn't be ready until saturday. not a great service and i had to leave and buy clothes. I had stayed the previous week on the 24th floor, the thursday night was sleepless as at 1am the staff upstairs start throwing and kicking the empty beer kegs about - i assume the beer delivery is on the friday morning. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Excessive Noise My wife and I stayed at this hotel on a Saturday evening, primarily to eat at the MPW Steak Restaurant. Food was excellent, however the bar was playing loud music until 2am. Due to poor sound proofing, my wife an I were able to hear this music loud and clear in the room until it stopped. The base was so powerful the lamps were shaking. Needless to say sleep was impossible until the music and bar cleaning up had finished at approx. 2:30am. We did complain to the Hotel Management on the morning and they did reduce our bill significantly. November 13, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Can't fault it! Stayed at Hotel Indigo, Brimingham on Friday 7th November. Stay was fantastic as was the food in MPW restaurant. Definitely recommend paying the extra £5 for breakfast as was well worth it and it will cost you a lot more on the day. My only gripe was there wasn't a shower cap! November 11, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Saturday Nights Stay Although signage to the reception was lacking both outside and within the Cube building our stay at Indigo was both enjoyable and memorable with stunning views from the 24th floor and a very high quality of room fittings and furnishings. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Broken lift and overpowering vanilla smell! Every city I go to with an Indigo, I try and stay there as I love the brand. First time in Birmingham however and there were more cons than pros in this visit. I know some are fixable hence me still recommending this and I will try again the next time I am there. So, with only one lift working, you waited FOREVER to get anywhere. Staff at reception on level 7 were not as friendly and welcoming as those up on level 25. Felt like 2 different hotels. Downstairs for instance, rather than a 'good afternoon' when I arrived, I got 'yes?' Upstairs staff were so different. Very friendly, helpful and professional. The stairs between 24 and 25 for some reason stank of BO but then in my room, there was such an overpowering smell of vanilla pumped in. I couldnt sleep because of this every night and felt like throwing up. Some people love the smell, I know its me, but did it have to be so strong? I therefore did not sleep well at all on any of the nights. The positives however, lovely restaurant and breakfast area with great views, wonderful staff upstairs and really liked the design and furniture. With less vanilla, fully working lifts and more pleasant staff downstairs, it would have been a wonderful stay. Fingers crossed for next time. October 25, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Dont Do It If you want to sleep don’t stay here, Staff were great, noise is ridiculous, the rooms are below a champagne bar, the music was so loud you could hear the words never mind feel the base, we complained, then we complained then we complained again, We then got moved to the floor below to a shabby room with restricted views but at least we could sleep. Breakfast was average but by no means special. Spa was good nice pool steam & sauna rooms. Staff were good but fighting a losing battle with the noise. Room design is like an upmarket budget Hotel. So don’t do it‘s just flawed, what a joke for a hotel. We won’t be back October 23, 2014
