Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice hotel, good value, needs attention to details The mid-block hotel is small, no lobby save for a bench and one startlingly tall chair. Expensive valet parking. Subway is 1/2 block away, don't drive unless you must. Staff welcoming and efficient. As a Platinum customer my wife and I were given an upgrade for our 1-night stay, much appreciated! Our top-floor room was clean with a full modern bathroom, comfortable bed. All-in-all a good stay. This feedback has to do with the small details that can make a good stay great. Here's what we noticed: <1> No TV in the sleeping alcove (one could be attached to the wall in the corner, on a bracket, hospital-style) <2> 1 robe in closet, not two <3> No pen/paper anywhere in room <4> No microwave in the efficiency kitchen area <4A> Keurig machine with coffee cups, but no tea cups. <4B> Tea bags, but no way to make hot water (see #4) <4C> Only one regular + one decaf coffee serving. <5> Bath had complimentary shampoo & conditioner, no mouthwash or lotion. This hotel was a good value for price paid, even w/o the upgrade, and I will return. I hope with constructive feedback, management & housekeeping can raise their game. February 25, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Surprising Value in BKLN Only a couple short subway stops from Wall Street. A different view of the city. Rooms are large by any standard. Especially when compared to mid-town. Good restaurants nearby. Went to Juniors - a blast from the past. Interesting decor. Upscale amenities. My third recent experience with Indigo brand properties. I will seek them out whenever possible within the IHG group. Normally stay at Holiday Inn Express or other IHG brands. Last but not least, this stay I saved my client a good amount per night for my client vs. staying near Wall St. February 25, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Poor Choice My husband and I decided to do a getaway weekend to New York for Valentine's Day and based on a friend's reference we decided to stay at Hotel Indigo in Brooklyn. We learned later it was a poor choice. First, before the trip got started, I began to see charges from the hotel on my credit card. We were due to arrive in New York on Wednesday but my credit card was charged one night's stay three days before our trip. Which was in direct contradiction to their confirmation information for the reservation which advised that our credit card would be charged on the time of arrival or if we decide to cancel after 6:00 on that Monday before our trip. When we arrived, we found that the queen size room were reserved was very small based on other queen size rooms with ohter hotels. There was no place to put our luggage so it was placed at the foot of the bed which made the space for us to move around even more limited. We had a fridge in the room but unfortunately there was no microwave to heat our food if we brought leftovers back to the room to eat later. Also our stay was during a time that NY was getting snow every other day. The room was extremely cold. I pushed the thermostat all the way up to 90 degrees which was the highest you could push it and it was still cool. Also, the first room we were assigned the curtains were very dirty, we asked to be reassigned and the curtains in the next room was not as dirty. Also, I'm doubtful if housekeeping are changing the bed linen with each guest since I pulled back the duvet cover and found a strand of hair that I knew was not mines. If you choose to stay, you need to really consider what you're getting. The hotel looks like it was an afterthought and it was squeezed between other businesses. My husband and I drove past it twice before we realized that it was not a store but a hotel. We will never come back to this place. Really put a damper on our Valentine's getaway. The only nice part about the stay was the front desk attendants. They was very polite and courtesy and always willing to help. February 21, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Small Room but otherwise excellent New York hotel rooms are usually small and this was no exception -- getting around the lamp mounted on the wall to get into the bed required me to duck a bit. Otherwise, the service was great, the room was nicely decorated and clean, and the bathroom, while small, was more than adequate. This was a great value for the price so we'll stay there again. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great room with good location I stayed in a art deco room at this hotel which I am sure is true of all the rooms. The room was small but met all my needs. The staff was friendly and helpful. Downtown Brooklyn is up and coming and this hotel reflects it. If you need anything ask the staff (more heat or blankets) and they will oblige. February 9, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great experience at a reasonable price! My husband and I spent last Thursday & Friday night at Hotel Indigo in Brooklyn while we were in town for the Nets vs Heat game. The hotel was very nice and clean. As it has been mentioned before, the rooms are pretty small but I was told that this was pretty common for the area. It's very close to a ton of shopping and within walking distance to the Barclays Center, which you can see from the rooftop patio. Since the room was very small we decided to relax and do a little work in the lounge on the second floor of the hotel, which was very comfortable, except for the fact that they had to have the heat on 80 degrees or something because it was almost stifling. The Brooklyn Brewhouse which is on the ground floor and connected to the hotel was delicious! I think we ate three meals there within the little over 24 hours that we were there. The hotel staff was very pleasant and accommodating. They also have free wifi which worked great throughout the entire building! I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone that is staying in the area and I'll definitely be returning if the opportunity presents itself. January 14, 2014
