The hotel is as it mentions. In the downtown area. You will find nice shops and restaurants near the hotel. Staff was great and accommodating. Will stay there again when I am back at Ft. Myers.

I chose this hotel because of its location, which couldn't be better situated. It was very expensive and I was told they were "full all the time."
The lobby is small, worn and dated. My cab dropped me at what he thought was the front door - it's not clear which is the front door. I walked down a short corridor before I spotted the front desk. After a long travel day, my first impressions were not good. But then the front desk person was great. Helpful and professional. She seemed genuinely glad I was there. All of my front desk encounters were good, everyone anxious to answer questions, etc.
The room was clean and had been freshly painted. While the mattresses were somewhat old and lumpy, the linens were nice. The air conditioning fan, though, was very loud. I had a suite with 2 air conditioners and since they were both loud, I didn't report the problem because I thought that was just how they worked.
The bathroom was nice with a big shower. I didn't think there was enough lighting.
There were only 2 elevators and could have used another one. But they both were fast.
The rooftop was beautiful. But the bar didn't open until 3, so you couldn't get water, soda, snacks, drinks at all until then.
All the employees I had contact with were very helpful, friendly and professional. I asked for my room to be cleaned early one day and the housekeeping person happily did it.
I don't know if I would stay here again because of the price. It's right in the heart of old downtown with all kinds of dining options, casual and fine, which is really nice. They were easily walkable, many in a 1 to 2 block radius. But I paid a lot of money for the location.

Hotel Indigo, located in the Fort Meyers downtown River District, was a pleasant surprise. It is conveniently located near several restaurants and taverns and the rooms are spacious and well designed. We will be staying here again!!
