History is never far away in a place like Newton, and a local treasure, The Jackson Homestead and Museum, is just a short distance from our boutique hotel in Newton. The Jackson family traces their roots back to 1646 when Edward bought a 500-acre parcel in what is now Newton Corner. The Federal-style home was built in 1809 and used as a stop on the Underground Railroad; today it offers permanent and temporary exhibits about life in early New England.
