Every time we visit the Atlanta area, this is our preferred motel. We stayed in another motel closer to downtown last trip (November 2014) but only stayed one night before we cancelled the rest of[More]
our reservation there and came back to the Lawrenceville Holiday Inn Express.
The people here are super. They are engaging and interested, and seem happy in their jobs (makes a big difference, bosses, if you're listening, to have employees who actually enjoy helping people - and yours do). The coffee is always hot in the morning, breakfast is ready with lots of good choices - just a good way to start the day.
The rooms (we always get an Executive King Suite) are CLEAN and COMFORTABLE. The bathroom in our room had been renovated and looks great (love the new shower enclosure). The bed is comfortable and so is the A/C and lighting.
We usually stay for several nights so the Wi-Fi is important to us. We had no problems with it at all, and also use the business center to print out maps, coupons for local businesses, etc. The front desk folks are helpful in this respect, also.
The outside of the motel is attractive and well kept up. It's also well lighted and we always feel safe here. The motel is easy to get to, just off GA-316, and there are lots of dining and shopping choices nearby. It's also not far from Stone Mountain Park, where we often visit.
In all, this is just a home away from home for us. We've been members for a long time and have stayed in other Holiday Inn Express properties (and liked them all), but this one is our Lawrenceville "home." [Less]
The hotel is absolutely beautiful, affordable and easy access. The recognition of IHG members are great. The only thing not meeting IHG standards is the breakfast employees, which were rude and could[More]
not keep up with the patrons needs. Also the breakfast line and eating infrastructure is not accommodating, and needs a different layout. My recommendation would be keep it simple. Remove all the partitions, have open simple seating, remove the wall from behind the beverage line, and move all line items against the east side wall breakfast seating area. Breakdown the wall which is currently separating the food line and the small seating area, and open it up to simple seating 4 and 2 chair small tables. Also as an IHG member, the quick convenient check out was not performed or available. [Less]
