We had an excellent stay at "The Ponch"... all scores would have been perfect except for a few easily correctible things. We stayed in a "accessible" room because my wife uses a wheelchair;[More]
clearances were excellent and the bathroom with wheel-in shower were great except for a couple things: there's no table or countertop for the sink at all, we had to put our toiletries on the floor because the small lip on the sink was slanted and nothing would sit on it without sliding off.... a small "roll-around" cart would be a perfect solution; that would keep the room easily accessible and also allow a countertop to put shavers, brushes, toiletries, washcloths, toothpaste, toothbrush, etc.
Also the bathroom floor heater (electric) was inoperable, the knob was missing and it wouldn't turn on leaving this expansive room very very cold (all tile).
There was also a broken wall lamp (the lamp worked but extendable arm was broken); the "leather/naugahyde" headboard was peeling... it was clean but looked unsightly. Again these points are easily correctible. We did not mention these to staff because we were in very late and left shortly after showering.
There was also a very strange noise which started around midnight and lasted a couple hours, our room sided with the elevators but it sounded more like someone working like scraping [Less]
