I drove by this hotel on my previous visit to HK and noticed how downright beautiful it was; decided to stay there on the next trip. Ended up staying only one night in HK on my next trip and this hotel is my new favourite. Smart modern decor, quiet rooms, stunning pool, the most professional staff I have ever had, and outstanding value. This is my new go-to hotel in HK. Thanks Indigo.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Foxandco A great hotel with great staff and service
We spent a whole week here at the Indigo Hongkong. Unfortunately it was raining the whole time so we couldn't use the wonderful pool at the 29th floor. It looked very appealing. The room we had was very nicely decorated, with coffee/tea making facilities, a nice mini bar, complementary mineral water, nice amenities etc. Beds were great, we slept very well in them ! Bathroom a little small but adequate. Lovely rainshower and big fluffy bathtowels. Service was excellent, very efficient and nice staff there. Only 3 minute walk to Wan Chai metro which is also very convenient. Convention centre 10 minute walk, on footbrigde so protected from rain/sun etc. We will definitely come back here when we have to travel again to HK.

Firstly, great location, lovely environment with a great bar and lovely fresh rooms.
Staff were so willing to assist and greet us.
What we will remeber most is the bedding. Mattress, pillows and quilt! We ahd the best sleep. So comnfortable. We are back in Melbourne and recently mentioned that we need to go back to Indigo to get a great nights sleep.
Thanks for the experience and the rest.
Is it appropriate to ask who provides your bedding? Time to chnage at home and replicate the Indigo experience.

I stayed in this fantastic hotel for 4 days during easter weekend. The very warm welcome and friendly staff made me feel homelike. The design in the room was amazing and very special in a positive way !!! I liked it very much. The rooftop bar and the outdoor pool were great and completed the great overall experience of this hotel. Location is simply perfect. I will come back definitely next time.
Many Thanks, Matthias

My Visiting to Hongkong was 9th time. The Hotel INDIGO is the best Hotel for me !
The room is very comfortable. I love the wallpaper,cushon,tea-set and bathmat in the room ! They are so cute.
The neighborhood is so exciting for me. I had the Hongkong style milk tea, pinapple bread and I got the Chinese style ceramics.
Ms.Joery, the staff was so kind for us. Thank you !

My Boyfriend and I loved staying at this hotel. It was in a great neighborhood where we enjoyed walking, shopping and eating. Everything was very close by. I will definitely book this hotel again for my next holiday in Hong Kong. The staff was professional, welcoming and lovely. Everyone was very helpful as well.
The Skybar was a great place to start the evening with a cocktail.

We wanted to swim at the pool, but they're closed, because of the storm. We like that, because there's Starbucks steps away, but sadly, it closed down.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Jerome7 Great stay
Got a corner room on the top floor (27 F). Just great. Nice decor. Fantastic view. Open plan room/bathroom was very convenient for single use. I just felt the room entrance was a little dark - difficult to see what I am putting into or getting out of the room safe.
Breakfast - tables for 2 are a little close together. Also my main issue is the same as with some other IHG hotels - I don't like signing a check for a HK dollar amount when breakfast is included in the room rate. Why bother to ask for my room number when I sit down for breakfast if you do not check if breakfast is included or not?.
Taxis -Taxi situation around this hotel is just as bad in morning rush hours as other HK hotels. No taxi rank at this hotel, but fortunately the location on Queens Road East is a popular dropping off point for taxis so easy to jump in one. Hotel staff also did a great job flagging down taxis. But why does the hotel block off the driveway of the hotel? Taxis always had to back out etc.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Ginger77 Fantastic hotel in fab location
It's a scary thing selecting a hotel for a group of people but each and everyone of my travelling companions loved Hotel Indigo Wan Chai. Perfectly designed and in a fantastic location. The minute you walk out the door you are immersed in the real Hong Kong. Sky bar and the pool are great and breakfast at Café Post was a highlight. The décor and styling are exceptional. We had superior twin share rooms and they were spacious and well laid out. The hotel is great value. I would definitely recommend the hotel to others. Thank you for making our Hong Kong experience even better.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by The Qs A really great hotel experience
Hong Kong is a fabulous city and Hotel Indigo exemplifies all that makes it so. The overall design is wonderfully eccentric, the rooms are well-appointed and very comfortable and the service is discreet and anticipatory in a way we’ve previously only experienced in really top-end (and top price) hotels. We emailed in advance asking for a quiet room (higher up and to the rear, as suggested by previous reviewers) and received a speedy response which was followed through with a personal greeting from Aiken, Guest Services Manager and a room where there was not only little or no street noise but no hotel or fellow guest disturbance either (and there were other guests on our floor – the insulation between rooms, particularly of the excellent plumbing, must have been superb!). Even a rogue fire alarm (?a guest smoking in their room, which is forbidden and carries a hefty fine, smokers beware!) was handled well, with clear in-room announcements to prevent unnecessary evacuation and panic – reassuring when you are many floors up above the ground. Breakfast was good, if a little pricey but there are several nearby options including a cheerfully managed Starbucks across from the entrance lobby. The views from the pool and cocktail bar are fun (the nearby round Hopewell Centre joins in with the nightly light-show at 8pm) and the pool staff will happily provide a towel even if you just want to dip a toe in the water rather than swim out over the suspended glass floor. This is a lovely hotel – a refreshing change from the usual multi-national chains.
Wan Chai is an interesting part of the island with some unusual older buildings alongside the gleaming new and street markets as well as the ubiquitous malls. There’s a fun brief history in the bedroom – well worth a read - and the ever-helpful reception staff have a street-map guide and can supply any further information you need. The MTR underground station really is only a 5 minute walk away giving cheap, easy and fast access to the main tourist and commercial areas and the ‘Octopus’ card works on all the buses, boats and trams as well (and in coffee shops and 7/11 stores). In six days we travelled all over the island, Kowloon and Lantau for our HK$150 each (around £12).

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Pablo00 Great location and great installations
The location of the hotel is great, 10 minutes by walk to the dock and 5 minutes by taxi to Central. The neighbourhood is very silent during nights, and allows to go to Times Square in 10 minutes by walk. Also bus stops by the hotel to the main places in Hong Kong.
The staff was great, happy to help with any questions we made to go to the places or getting a taxi. For sure I´ll repeat if I´m back to Hong Kong.
The only "but" is the breakfast, since when any item was finished, it was not replaced (it happened to us that the orange juice finished, or the croissants, in eacho of the three days we spent in the hotel, but they where not replaced in any of them).

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Joachim_S Great new hotel with professional staff
We have stayed there fore one week, after choosing this hotel from the internet. It is in Wan Chai on Hong Kong Island very close to the MTR.
The hotel is very modern and the rooms are very comfortable and spacious.
The staff, from the reception to the house keeping is extreemly professional, helpful and friendly.
It is a "I like to come back" location.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by early morning dew Fabulous, contemporay, comfortable and a great location
This was a real surprise so very different. New hotel in 2013. Fabulous, funky and innovative design. Found it on the web and chose it because it was so out of the ordinary. Fabulous room layout. Floor to ceiling windows, double electric blinds.
Amazing whole wall mosaic. Rain shower was heavenly. Separate shower and toilet with the vanity in an open area between bedroom and shower - very different - worked for us but may not suit everyone.
Staff couldn't have been more helpful. And then there's the incredible cantilevered swimming pool with the glass bottom on the top floor. We went up there late at night just to sit and relax. Very peaceful high above the street far below.
Brought to their attention a few minor housekeeping issues which were attended to efficiently. Wardrobe was a bit small. May be different in other room layouts.
Reasonably priced for its location in Wan Chai. Daily local street market next door, walking distance to MRT. Supermarket across the road. Just down and across the street explore the fascinating Star, Moon and Sun Streets for great cafes, art galleries, best patisserie shop, wine shop etc etc and dont miss out on climbing the hundreds of steps whilst there. We enjoyed our stay in the hotel and the vicinity so much we extended our stay by another 3 nights. Have rebooked for early April 2014 for 10 nights.

The hotel is comfortable with excellent facilities and wonderful staff who make you feel very welcome. Great security with room access only to your floor level. Beautiful finishing touches to the room with mosaic tiled wall in room, changing glass wall in elevator which all add to the comfort of the stay. Great ammenities and staff were very accomodating and welcoming. Close to public transport services. I would highy recommend a stay here and will definitely stay again if in Hong Kong.

We were passing through HK for 12 hours and needed somewhere to sleep, rest and wash. The staff were incredibly helpful in giving us a very extended departure time which really made a huge difference to us.
The fact that we also loved the room and the design of the whole hotel was just a bonus! It's a very cool place to stay.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by ClaraS Swimming pool & complimentary drink & milk/cream
Hope the water is hot enough in the spa and warm enough in the swimming pool to swim in winter. It would be comfortable for the customers to enjoy and relax while they are staying in your hotel in winter.
For complimentary drink, it would be nice to provide 2 if 2 names are registered in the room as it is quite embarrassing if there is only one complimentary drink.
There is milk/cream in the room, can't make tea (English style).

This was my first time staying at the Indigo on Queens Road, Wanchai. I stayed in a suite room and all I can say it was very very good for both resting and working. Everything is well layed out within the suite. Furthermore the hotel is within walking distance e.g. 5 minutes to Wanchai bars and restaurants.
Staff were must helpful whenever I asked for help and assistance including booking a car to/from airport.
I certainly will be coming back to this hotel
