We stayed here last year when the hotel was newly opened and were very impressed and, am pleased to say, were not disappointed by our return visit this year.
The location is excellent if you are looking to do the Albert Dock attractions, Liverpool 1, cathedrals etc and there are some outstanding restaurants within easy walking distance, ask for recommendations at the Reception Desk.
The rooms are compact but comfortable with quirky styling and great colours. Bathrooms stylish. One gripe was that the beds are really very soft for anyone used to a firm mattress, and only standard doubles. On enquiring, we were told that if you book a twin room with zip link beds, these can be joined together to make a more substantial double.
Afternoon tea was included in the deal we took up and it proved to be beautifully presented and substantial - don't order this too close to dinner time because you just won't have room for another meal.
We ate dinner one night in the MPW restaurant and both had delicious meals. Do your calculations because, if you are only going to eat two courses, the choices from the a la carte can compete with the fixed price meal and gives you a better range.
Breakfasts are relaxed, varied, regularly replenished and plentiful - they really set you up for the day.
What really makes a stay at Hotel Indigo such a good experience has to be the staff. They are enthusiastic, friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble and they appear genuinely interested in making your stay special.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Alecia Perfect weekend getaway!
My sister and I stayed at Hotel Indigo for a weekend in September 2012. The staff was SO nice and were able to check us in an hour early. The hotel room was clean, beautiful, and so comfortable. There was a restaurant and bar in the hotel lobby which we didn't visit, but it seemed very fun and cool. We were there to see some of the museums on Albert's Dock and the hotel was a (pleasant) 5 minute walk away from all of that. Even when we went to some pubs at night, the hotel was in a perfect location to walk to and from all the action. I'd absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone!

Internal design of hotel makes it stand our from the crowd, it's not just another hotel room! Burst of colour and luxury make it feel more like a "treat" to visit rather than just a bed to sleep in! But by the way, the most comfortable Hotel bed ever ! Rainfall shower and lighting in the shower makes it a very relaxing place to be!!
Would recommend it to anybody who wants something a little different and doesn't want to stay at just another "bog standard" hotel!!

From arrival to check out, the overwhelming friendliness of the staff was evident. The hotel was modern, unique, vibrant and above all, spotlessly clean !! We had a 2-course meal in the MPW restaurant, as well as two breakfasts, all of which were delicious. Highly recommended !!

Stayed here for 2 nights Fri/Sat and it was fabulous ! We arrived at 11am and our rooms were ready which was a bonus , we came back to hotel for champagne afternoon tea which was absolutely gorgeous and I thoroughly recommend it , we also ate in MPW restaurant that evening and again faultless! Tom the barman served us some fantastic cocktails !The rooms were spotlessly clean and the beds so comfortable and a FREE mini bar as an added bonus . I would definately recommend this hotel and restaurant and can't wait to return :)

We enjoyed our stay at the Indigo; we stayed on a Sunday to Monday which was excellent value, The hotel felt new and fresh and the rooms were clean and comfortable. We particularly enjoyed the mood lighting in the bathroom and the rainfall shower. We watched a film while we were there and the choice was quite good. The free minibar (non-alchoholic) was a nice touch. My only criticism was that the room was rather warm for sleeping; I operated the air conditioning but it did not seem very effective. The meals were very good and the hotel was conveniently situated just a short walk from the Cavern Club and Liverpool 1 shops.

I have stayed at this hotel twice and would recommend it to anyone travelling to Liverpool.
The staff at reception are extremely welcoming and have warm demeanour.
The rooms have a fresh vybrant feel to them out doing the more traditional hotels that one is accustomed to.
Close to one of the best clubs in Liverpool and only a short taxi ride to main bars and the docks, which you can also simply walk to!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Diana53 Great Experience - Food was Amazing
This was my first time staying at a Hotel Indigo and I can say I will search for others when I travel. The hotel is wonderful, the bed was great. Loved the decor. Wanted to tell others how fantastic the food was - lunch and dinner menus were outstanding and would highly recommend travelers try them.
The meals at Hotel Indigo were by far as good or better than many of the fine dining places we visited in Liverpool. Just because it is in a hotel, don't think it is average. The food was exquisite!

Everything in the hotel was furnished with very good taste and designed with care. The atmosphere is excellent, the colors make it cheerful and familiar at the right point. Great idea the free minibar: a little bonus that does not cost much but make the guest confortable. The bed big and soft was superb. Highly recommended.

Hotel is in a great location, handy for the docks. Nice room and lovely toiletries. Staff very pleasant and room was ready early.
Very good choice at breakfast with eggs cooked to order. Very good coffee.
Had a lovely evening meal in the restaurant which was part of the deal booked with travel zoo.
The free minibar items were a nice touch as was the complimentary bucks fizz.
Would recommend this hotel and look forward to staying again in the future.

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights in August 2012. We had booked a table in the restaurant and the waitress who served us was quick and efficient and very helpful, excellent service. We both ordered steak for our main course and they were cooked to perfection. We booked an Executive room very clean, infact spotless, the bed very comfortable and the shower was brilliant. The hotel is in a good location, a short walk to the Albert Dock and a stones through away from the shops.
Would definitley stay here again

Stayed only one night - Wow what a different style of hotel. Normally stay at Crowne Plaza/Holiday Inn. Will look out for these in the future. The breakfast was the best I have had in any IHG hotel...I'd love to know how to make the eggs like they had on offer.

As priority club members we arrived to find our check-in ready and just a matter of signing-in which took seconds, very well done. Your staff were outstanding; helpful without being obtrusive.
The hotel is ideally positioned and we found access to the city on foot really easy especially the water front, the "hop on, hop off" bus stop was right outside the front door.
The rooms are starting to show a little wear, our bathroom needed resealing, just indicative of age. Although we didn't use it the mini bar was complimentary and had beer, crisps, chocolates and water.
My wife loved the fluffy bathrobes in the bathroom.
I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel and we will stay there again in the future.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Marilyn62 Great location, friendly service
Discovered this hotel through an email from VisitLiverpool. Stayed one night during visit to Bells of the World concert at the Echo Arena. Ideally situated close to the Waterfront, easy convenient secure parking round the corner. Hotel very clean, fresh and modern but with old-fashioned quality of service. Liverpool can be noisy at weekends from pubs, hen and stag parties but all was peaceful within and the comfortable beds ensured a good night's sleep. Breakfast was excellent - good choice and quality - v. slight niggle about speed of coffee machine and access around it. Loved the cotton lights in breakfast room. Would happily come again.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Jonsey Good location excellent accommodation
A well appointed, well located modern hotel close to major attractions, including Albert Dock, in Liverpool. Good service, and knowledgeable staff. Pierre Marco White restaurant good value, good food and good service, and, thankfully, unpretentious. If anything the hotel is a higher standard than the locale in which it is situated. An excellent hotel for a city break in Liverpool.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Laura845 Fantasic Hotel, just a shame we couldn't stay longer!
We booked a weekend away on an extremely good deal which included dinner in the restaurant which was fantastic value for money, i wasn't expecting a great deal considering the price we paid but i was extremely pleased to say it was one of the nicest stays away i've had.
From the moment we stepped foot through the door we were greeted by a very friendly gentleman who went out of his way to help with luggage, gave us a map and asked if there was anywhere specific we wanted to visit and pointed this out to us with great directions to the shops and the docks.
The room was decorated very modern which is what we look for when we go away and was clean, spacious and had everything we needed for a comfortable night away.
We went downstairs for drinks before dinner and then were lead through to the dining room which again was fantastic with lots of choice (we ate off a set menu but the A'la Carte menu also looked good.) The food and drinks were reasonably priced, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful offering reccommendations and going out of their way to make our evening enjoyable, all the staff at this hotel obviously love their job!! The only slight criticism we had that the main course's (all 4 of them) were slightly too salty for our liking but not off putting enough for us not to enjoy them still!!
Overall a fantastic experience in a great hotel, we will definately be returning!!

Absoutely great stay at Hote lndigo.
The location is brilliant! Literally only a 5 minute walk from the heart of Liverpool One, and just far enough away not to get caught up in all the traffic.
The decor is beautiful, lots of storage space for clothes etc..., very clean and the gadget of being able to hear the TV in the bathroom is fabulous!
Would definately stay here again.

We visited the hotel for the first time but we will be sure to be back.
Our welcome into the hotel was friendly and smooth and, when we went up to our room, we couldn't believe our luck! The room was clean, comfy with a fantasic shower and good television/radio facilities.
Sitting outside for a drink before dinner was lovely as we could see the docks.
We had dinner in the Marco Pierre White restaurant which was delicious. The service was second to none and we couldn't ask for anything more.
Our plan was to head into Liverpool for drinks but we actually stayed into the hotel at the bar for the evening drinking some wonderful cocktails!
Thank you Hotel Indigo, we will be back!
