Upon arrival there was no welcome. Documents were demanded, including credit card and passport. and drivers license The receptionist tried to photocopy these without permission. I asked for them not to. they said in poor English it was the law. I informed then that as a British citizen, i did not have to carry or produce ID, And under the Innkeepers act only foreign national needed to give their home address and give their intended address after leaving the hotel.
He was cross, but decided he would only need to write my drivers licence number on the check in sheet, and the photcopies were not needed, although it was the Hotel policy.
The room was warm enough when going to sleep. i was awoken at 3.30 am in a freezing box. I could not find the lights in the room ( i had turned off the main switch next to the bed, thinking it was a regular light switch) or the heating. I needed to contact reception for assistance.
Bathroom floors have no underfloor heating and never warm up in winter.
No requested wake up call ( mind you i never got back to sleep after 3.30 am)
No hot breakfast, due to gas leak in kitchen. No refund offered.
Went to airport for 24 hour flight, tired and hungry.
Second stay. Not again

Rooms a little small for price, but clean and well serviced. Would recommend for anyone visiting London. Convenient to underground stations, Heathrow Express, Bayswater Road, Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens.

I travel to London frquently on business and Leisure and I normally stay at the Intercontinental Park Lane but must say The Indigo Paddington is a great option for London.
less than 5 minutes away from Paddington means that you can hop to and from Heathrow in no time saving a fortune on taxies
Rooms are small but very nicely decorated, staff are friendly and accomodating
I would certainly recomend this hotel!

...if the rooms wouldn't be that small.
A very relaxing and enjoyable experience, from the very beginning.
The rooms aren't spacious, and I don't know how I should invite friends or business partners for a dinner in the king room.
There is simply no space for more than two persons. And then you still wouldn't be able to have a dinner or lunch in a comfortable way.
So this advertisment within the room description should be removed.
But...excellent service of the reception and partially also from housekeeping.
Complimentary soft-drinks are a wonderful supplement, great furniture and lovely equipped livingroom and bathroom. All amenities are available plus some valuable extras.
The hotel has a superb café or brasserie, and the bar is also fine for everyone.
The Neighborhood is fine, the nearby situated Paddington Station perfectly to reach within a minute walk.
Hyde Park around the corner and Marble Arch is just a short busride to go.
So for both, business and leisure, it's a perfect place to stay!
I'll be back for sure.

My husband and I booked into the Hotel Indigo in Paddington for a night away visiting London. The hotel was easy to find and just a few minutes walk from Paddington station. The hotel was clean and boutique chic. We opted for a suite and were quite pleased with the room. It wasnt a huge room, but for London standards was a nice size. The bathroom was great as well and I loved the raindrop shower. Would definitely consider staying here again while visiting London.

Hotel is recently refurbished to a high standard. Exterior facade is typical Georgian as found in many London streets. Interior is modern clean and functional. Our room was a decent size and the facilities in it were very good. Most importantly the bed was very comfortable with decent quality linens. We used the restaurant for breakfast only and the Bar once without any negative issues. Reception staff were particularly friendly and all staff were courteous and helpful.

We were delighted with this hotel. It was clean, funky, close to transport, and served good food. The staff were ever willing to help with any request from advice on transport to meals at odd times,or just a chat. We will be happy to return again if in London.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Tricky75 Comfortable and relaxing
Margaret and Tamara on the reception were very friendly and welcoming.
Apparently we sacrificed a better room for a very early check-in, but the room we were given was small, but very comfortable and very nicely furnished.
The decor of the whole hotel was modern and impressive.
This was not a cheap hotel and i probably wouldn't have stayed here if I didn't have priority club points to put towards it... And it was quite expensive in terms of points. Given the cost I was surprised that breakfast was not included, given it comes as standard in many other hotels in the ihg chain.
We paid for breakfast and was disappointed. The food was fine, although some items were forgotten.. The problem was that the breakfast room was quite small given the amount of customers, and the service staff seemed a little stretched. They were apologetic when I pointed out that items were forgotten and rectified it, but I think more resources in this area is required.
The hotels location in terms of Paddington Station was a great positive and the deciding factor in choosing to stay here.
I would stay here again for a leisure visit to London.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 Inflexible Property
I am given the impression that:
i) This is a property that does not reply to email or is least internet savy to come across this review.
ii) A cancelled stay that is fully paid gets no rewards points
iii) Staff leaves on the dot by requesting a call-back claiming line is of poor quality.
I should be wiser not to book a hotel near to Paddington station had not for a business trip that was eventually cancelled.
Probably an audit of their procedures and staff quality is called for during the qualification process to be part of the IHG group.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by BigMom Wonderful hotel
The room was well appointed; AC worked extremely well, huge TV with American programs, walk-in rain shower, great neighborhood with many eateries, grocers for late night snacks, a variety of complementary drinks in the refrigerator, lots of storage in the bathroom and closet, an iron and board. The room was small but well thought out. It had a number of chairs almost too many for the area. I loved this hotel. We had one request for the staff and they responded immediately. The hotel’s restaurant had a lovely breakfast and fast service justly a plus when trying to leave in the mornings. Excellent location, just a couple of blocks to Paddington station and either the tube or Heathrow Express.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by TravelusMaximus Perfect hotel with unbeatable location
Could not ask for a better location. Literally 3 minute walk from Paddington Train station where you just 'alighted' from the Heathrow Express. You're then that same 3 minute walk from the Paddington tube station from where all of London is yours within 10-20 minutes. Gorgeous Hyde Park is only a 10 min walk south.
Hotel's design is very modern with nice artistic photos reflecting the neighbourhood. Very comfy bed, super mod/clean bathroom. Awesome shower with lots of water pressure. Huge flat screen TV.
Stayed twice on my way to/from Paris via London. 1st stay, was in 'standard' room, perfect for just me, but maybe a tight fit for 2 people. 2nd stay, was in 'executive room', perfect size for 2 people.
Great breakfasts/dinners, reasonably priced in bistro with nice sidewalk patio.
All in all, loved this hotel, would stay again in a heartbeat.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Kay39 Good things sometimes come in small packages
We chose the Hotel Indigo mainly because of its location close to Paddington but I am so glad we did.
The rooms might be small (as are most in London) but the thought and great attention to detail that has obviously gone into outfitting the rooms result in a great exerience. We loved the thoughtful yet somewhat quirky touches - mural on the back wall of the bedroom, use of mirrors to ensure that the room felt light and airy, great power shower with choice of shower heads, very comfortable bed, super hot towel rail, excellent toiletries and good tea and coffee supplies.
Staff were super friendly and helpful, especially Salvatore.
We will be back.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by randompixel Stylish Hotel in Great Location
Literally steps away from Paddington Tube, this was a great stylish hotel. Comfortable king bed and I wish I had the bathroom in my own house!
Free soft drinks in the mini-bar was a nice touch, although for the price of the room I'd kind of expect that!
When we came back from dinner, someone had turned the bed down and put some chocolate mints on the pillows - classy touch.
The only downer was breakfast took AGES to come. After about 30 minutes and everyone around us getting ours they came to ask if toast on an Eggs Benedict was ok as they'd run out of muffins. By the time it eventually came it was just lukewarm.

Have stayed in this Hotel a few times now and each time the service hsa been excellent. I have been welcomed as a platinum Priority Card member each time and have been made to feel very welcome. The location is fantastic as you have easy access to Paddington station and tube. The rooms are very contemporary, but just a little small, although you don't expect much more in London. I woudl definately stay here again.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by TARAN GREAT LOCATION!!!
I always knew that hotel rooms in London are small but that small....Coming from India where you have the luxury of space of as good as 30-35 sqm of room size this one was an eye opener and made me think on what a Holiday Inn Express will look like.
Having said that, the hotel definitely has a great location....right at Paddington Station (a 5 mts walk), gets you connected to Heathrow via the non stop Heathrow express in 15 mts flat. The hotel has a single restaurant that serves great breakfast and I will say is not priced too high from a star rated hotel standards. The restaurant can get very busy at times during the day so expect a delayed service as well.
My check in experience was not that great though. Being a Priority Club Platinum Elite member, I expect a priority check in which was missing. In fact waited for 15 minutes for the room to get ready without being asked for a glass of water. Complimentary Newspaper which was not delivered to room but seems was complimentary for everyone and you could pick your copy next to elevator. Complimentary upgrade was not offered. Recognition - sorry missed out though I presented my PCR card on check in.
The staff at the Front Desk is very courteous though and very helpful.
I would recommend to stay here if you want something central and easy to connect around. Oxford, Marble Arch is not very far. You can go walking or can even take a bus. There are plenty of Indian restaurants around if you feel like having something Indian.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Recregator Great Staff, Largest Shower I've ever found in Europe
The hotel was just across the street from the Paddington Station, making it easy to hop on the Heathrow Express to the airport. It was a short walk to Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens. I was able to catch The Big Red right outside (one of the double decker tour buses). The hotel staff were very nice and helpful. They even printed out a map and directions to a dinner party I needed find. The room was very small but typical for Europe. The shower was the big surprise...as big as the one I had in Texas! It also had a rainfall showerhead as well as a handheld. The bathroom came stocked with plenty of BIG towels, a robe, slippers, and had a towel heater. The mini 'fridge was stocked with complimentary water, soda, and other drinks. My only disappointment was the last night finding my water had not been restocked. The bed was very comfortable. Turndown service included a chocolate mint on my pillow each evening. Being a woman traveling alone, I felt very safe at this location.
