Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Even when things weren't perfect, the staff made it right. The rooms are small but comfortable and clean. The tile floors seemed strange at first. Our room was near the elevator so we could hear some noise, but it was not disturbing. Front desk and management staff were very friendly and helpful. Location is convenient to all downtown destinations and the price was very competitive (they accepted my corporate rate for the whole stay including weekend when other surrounding hotels would not). When we requested something (fresh towels, new ironing board pad, etc.), it was provided promptly. House keeping arrived a few minutes before we were leaving so we asked them to return shortly. When we returned to our room, it hadn't been cleaned. Even though it was then past house keeping hours, our room was cleaned that night and management provided cookies and milk and a personal note to apologize for the oversight. Some valet staff were unable to drive a manual, so I had to personally retrieve and park my car one evening, but the staff was very apologetic and removed the valet charge. November 20, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointed in new location We were thrilled to be staying at the hotel indigo once again for a special time in our lives our 12th anniversary. We had loved our previous stay several years earlier so much that i could not wait to book again. As we arrived we realized the hotel had moved locations, alas we tried to remain positive and were welcomed as we walked into the lobby. The decor was just as beautiful as the previous local and the staff was friendly and helpful. The gentleman that checked us in even took the time to escort us to the bay of elevators we needed to use to get to our room, and gave us a quick property tour along the way. As we stepped off the elevator and made it to our room door their was a slight tinge of anticipation... hoping the room would be as beautiful as the previous. Swipe the card... open the door... poof - DEFLATED! The rooms at the previous boutique hotel were huge, more or less suites and now we were in a room the size of a shoebox. Ok the decor is still beautiful, well at first glance. Upon closer inspection the furniture was dirty, there was something all over the bathroom walls, the shower glass was filthy and there was hair in the bottom of the shower. The bedroom blinds were broken, and there were tears in the comforter. For what we were paying, this should be a pristinely appointed room. We decide to overlook it and continue to prepare for our evening out. My husband, after running water in the shower for several minutes to remove the remnants of the previous guest, hops in the shower. I decide to begin getting ready myself to find there is no mirror in the main room. All the mirrors are in the bathroom fog filled, so now I wait until he is finished showering to even begin getting ready to leave. We all know it takes longer for women to get ready so this lack of main room mirror makes absolutely NO SENSE! Every hotel/motel we have ever stayed in had an in room mirror. Again all of the above would be forgivable if it were not for the cost of the room. I know there were several of events in the area the weekend we stayed and it was a Saturday night so the rates were higher than the norm. Also the location in the downtown area played a part, however the value was that equal to any standard small room chain. I wish our room had been better... Maybe our expectations were too high. We had hoped for a romantic stay but got a regular old room with a lovely view of the parking garage. November 20, 2014
