As a Gold member, I was not greeted as one, the person at the front desk was rude and hurried me along. Any questions that I had, she responded as if I was annoying or irritating her. Ran out of towels during my stay, in-dining room service was slow and when my food arrived, it was luke warm Will not be staying here again! July 8, 2014

It's a very short walk, if one doesn't want to wait on a taxi, or the weather in the morning is irresistible. Check in is courteous and efficient meaning getting to bed and to sleep is no problem. The room was modern, clean, and quiet. The bed and pillows were superb for a great night's sleep, and the room rate doesn't give one nightmares. July 5, 2014

Had always thought the location would not be an impressive one until we decided to give it a try because we could not find another location to suit our needs at that time. Since then, we have booked this location several times for our visit to the New Orleans area and New Orleans Saints games. Will continue to book in the future. July 2, 2014

Close enough to walk to the French quarter and the trolley. Great bar staffed with excellent mixologists. Try the Strawberry Martini! The room was also very modern and clean. Just a short walk to the French Quarter, The Shops, Harrah's, The Aquarium. We will definitely be back - can't beat the pricing for the location. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not the best stay I was very disappointed in this facility. Water quality in the rooms was poor (water came out orange when I first ran the tub). A/C was very noisy (woke me up when it came on at night), and then it was silent. No A/C meant I had to change rooms for my last night. I WILL say that the gentleman who came to check on the AC did come up quickly and was exceptionally polite and professional. I tried ordering Room Service based on the in-room menu, and was rudely told by whoever at the restaurant takes the calls that the menu had changed, and they weren't responsible for what information was in the rooms. The term "fitness center" is an exaggeration--1 bike, 1 treadmill, and 1 elliptical for an 18-story hotel is totally insufficient. The concierge staff were very enthusiastic and helpful. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by VTCI International Member From South Seattle I haven't rated this facility as an overall excellent because the workout facility was done so poorly, stuck basically into what seems to me an afterthought room-like oops we forgot something, I do applaud the efforts to put in substantial equipment, unfortunately this equipment use is very limited especially if a person is interested in stretching or range of motion exercises. I was able to adapt some to do this but didn’t utilize it as I would have liked to because I was concerned about the safety factor. Other than the above exercise item I very much appreciate the attentive staff and hotel’s other amenities. June 5, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Motel My wife and I attended a car show at this motel. The car show was held in the covered parking ramp. The weather was rainy but this motel was great. The restaurant had excellent food at low cost prices. The price you paid for the amount of food you received was not expected in the big city. The waitresses, Sha and Melissa, were excellent. They took care of their customers. The desk personnel were well prepared and the security staff helped out very well. I would recommend this motel to anyone. June 4, 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Some issues with Maintenance 1. We arrived late to find out our confirmed room was not available and we had to take something else. Then the next day we had to move to our prior selection. Wonderful. Then the toilet started to scream after being flushed. We informed the desk at 7:30 pm and assumed it would be fixed when we returned from a class. At 9:30pm it was not fixed. Desk said maintenance was not answering their phone. Finally a mam showed up, worked on the toilet and said he needed "something" and left-and did not come back! We waited and finally called again, this time Juan came, he works the night shift. The first man went home. Juan fixed the toilet. Good Man. But by this time it almost 1am. So we missed our morning meetings from our program. Later the desk people gave a ticket for a free cup of coffee, beer, or a coke! I was insulted, our inconvenience was worth much more then that. The staff were friendly and helpful (except for one maintenance man). June 1, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable bed but expensive We needed a one-night layover between trains; we had to be on a 7:00 a.m. Amtrak train. But we are used to staying in motels when traveling --ase had up in Laurel -- that had a full breakfast as part of the room rate; ad the cost was much less. One the few occasions that we stay in downtown hotels, we find the cost higher and the service less. We had to request towels when we got into our room. The woman cleaing rooms down the hall could not understand us, so we had to call the desk and then the manager brought us towels. There was no 24-hour coffee service in the lobby. May 29, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Internet issues and parking fees Overall our visit to NOLA HI was pleasant. Location is close enough to Canal street to walk to everything, but it is a long walk if you aren't in shape. We were there prior to our cruise vacation and the access to the port was a very easy drive. My only major issue was a very poor WiFi internet connection for being on the top floor and at the end of the hall. It would not stay connected and would take forever to send & receive. I had to use my data phone services to take care of business. Front desk staff said they were working to resolve the internet issue. Second was the fee for hotel guest parking. I felt this wasn't exactly fair because they charge a much lower fee for overnight parking - out by 6 AM . Our stay was just the night - arrived about 4 PM, check-out around 10 AM. FYI: Port parking was half what HI charged per day. May 28, 2014
