Great location and value not to mention a very knowledgeable and friendly staff who were very helpful with directions as well as dinner reservations Breakfast was great....pancakes and bacon added to the variety would have been nice. However an ample supply of fruit yoghurt and warm options. The happy hour was a complete bonus with free wine, beer and appetizers. Fantastic! The beds and pillows were very comfortable and the air conditioning provided nice background noise for a good night sleep. You are off the beaten path here so traffic noise isn't an issue, Water pressure is decent and the room size is exceptional for NYC standards and room cost. Full fridge and microwave were great. I would highly recommend this hotel. A real home away from home! August 13, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Life in the city I usually stay at the Holiday Inn Express on 39th, but it was full. I contacted corporate sales with my IHG id but they refused to offer me any discount on the rate. (HIE offered 15%) I booked a park and stay rate, erroneously thinking there would be valet parking at the hotel. We arrived at 2 pm and were told that we had to drive down the street and park the car ourselves. When we got to the garage (Central Park on 40th) the attendant was rude and ignored us for a while, but we were eventually taken care of. We returned to the hotel and the front desk staff asked how the experience was at the garage, seemingly knowing that the experience was not good. Our room was not yet ready (check in is at 4) and when I asked if they knew when it would be, they abruptly told me to ask again at 4pm. Before leaving I asked, as an IHG reward member, if we could have a bottle of water for me and my boys (3 in total). They told me I was "pushing it" and provided 2 bottles. When we returned at 4pm. the front desk still could not verify with housekeeping that the room was ready and just walked away for about ten minutes. Once they returned, we were assigned our rooms and given our keys. That being said, the room and accommodations were nice. The location was good, but parking garage for the bus station was right across the street. The breakfast buffet was good and the amenities were nice. Overall, after the initial aloofness from the front desk staff, it was an enjoyable stay and a nice hotel. Four days after I left, we were hand washing the "road dirt" off of the car and noticed 3 deep, horizontal scratches on the rear bumper. They looked to be intentional. I'm sure that it happened at the garage, but did not bother to call. Would not recommend the park and stay rate for this hotel. August 12, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Great All-around from Greeting to Good-bye Excellent first experience at the Staybridge Time Square, and our first Staybridge Suites. From our warm greeting at the front desk to our final good-bye we were impressed with this hotel, both staff and accommodations! The Suite was a nice size for NYC, especially happy with our bathroom. So, pleased that towels were given for our family of four! After a long day of touring Manhattan, we grabbed dinner on the way in, and pulled out the plates and enjoyed a meal as if we were at home. We slept very well in the comfy beds, and excellent pillows, and we did NOT hear NY street sound. Most unusual for any hotel in NYC, and a pleasant change. We enjoyed a hearty breakfast before heading out the next morning. Eggs, Sausage, waffles, fresh fruit, as well, as many cold and warm cereals. We left our bags as we headed out to the Yankees game. Upon return they were quickly retrieved and a cab was hailed for us. Thanks, Bradley, it was a perfect ending to a great stay! August 12, 2014

Hotel staff is second to none as they are very friendly and accommodating especially the guys handling baggage in the lobby. They always remember names and really make it feel like home. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good facilities and brilliant breakfast and weekday evening snacks and drinks If you can ignore the slight roughness of the street the Staybridge is located on this is a great choice for family break in NY as you are only a block away from Times Square. The buffet breakfast set us up really well for the day's sightseeing and if we were around the free snacks and drinks during the weekdays were an added bonus. The staff on duty were all really helpful and friendly . Even though we were on the 28th floor, we didn't have to wait too long for the lifts. Much better to be above the bus station terminus to get the views and illuminations of 9th Avenue. August 6, 2014

Couldn't say enough about the gentleman who met us at the door after checking out. He thanked us for staying, packed our bags in the limo, wished us a safe flight, then invited us back. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Will stay again Great location near Times Sq., subway and bus station. The street is busy enough to feel safe in the evening. Near 24hr. shop for essentials and restaurants. Rockefeller Center - 10min. walk, Times Sq- 5min. walk, Twin Tower museum - 15min. subway ride, Central Park 10min. subway ride. Hotel room was spotless. Not too big but has everything one would need. Staff are very professional. Breakfast is ample.. The breakfast room is bright and modern with limited seating. Hotel has solved that problem by making more seats available in another part of the lobby a bit farther to carry your plate and coffee to. One thing about this hotel is the elevators issue. Certain times of the day (morning and end of the day) you have to wait a while for the elevators. Having said that...we probably would still use the hotel again for a future visit to NYC for everything else the hotel has to offer. August 2, 2014

They made our first visit to New York very enjoyable, and the morning breakfast was a great start to each day. The hotel concierge was able to reserve tickets on the hop on/hop off bus which got us around New York during our entire stay. We appreciated being able to check our bags in the first day until our room was ready while we were sight seeing. The staff was also nice enough to hold our bags on our last day while we were getting in last minute shopping and tours before our late evening train. August 1, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Horrible Experience Unfortunately it was the worse travel experience we've ever had in 29 years of marriage. My husband, my brother and his wife and I were at the Staybride Suites Times Square this past weekend. Upon arrival at 2pm we were fortunate to have available one of the 2 rooms we booked. However we were informed the room next to it (which was reserved for our other reservation) wasn't ready but would be at the 4pm check in. We returned to the hotel at 4 only to find the 2nd room was still not ready. My brother and his wife waited another half hour in the lobby and it still was not prepared for them. Frustrated they requested another room and was given one on the 31st floor. We were late for dinner reservations prior to a show on broadway as a result. The following morning both couples attempted to use the elevator to go to breakfast. We waited literally a half an hour and found the elevators that stopped were filled to capacity by the time they reached our floor. Having just had a lapidus bunionectomy with a non union of the bone as a result we were forced to walk 16 flights downstairs. I walked 16 floors with virtually a broken foot not in a cast or boot. My brother and his wife walked the entire 31 floors! I presented the issue to the front desk and was told that the manager would be notified. I never heard a word from anyone from the hotel. When we arrived in the packed first floor. We went through the breakfast line only to not be able to sit down as the entire first floor seating was filled. This occurred the next morning as well. The breakfast was cold and items were out due to the large crowd and the staff couldn't replenish it fast enough. The stay at Staybridge was horrible. We will never stay at Staybridge again as a result of the inconvenience and inattentive management at this establishment.. July 31, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Friendly staff and amazing food choices It was the best stay ever for me and my two kids. Enjoyed every moment of it. An exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. I never experienced such great service . Ever. Amazed. I wanted to hug everyone who works there. My kids loved the board games in a lobby. The room was perfect for us and the kitchenette was extremely helpful. Storage before checking in and even after was extremely appreciated. After overnight ride from Canada we were exhausted so the front deck employee offered us to call when the room is ready. So we went to the museum and came back after a call to crash in a clean fresh room. Negatives: -The garbage was still in a room under the sink garbage when we checked in. I told the staff that someone's garbage is still in a room and I have no garbage bags to replace it so she immediately removed it and replaced the bag. -My room key couldn't open gym door and the washrooms downstairs.The front deck employee reset it but still didn't work so I didn't want to bother anyone. Also she gave me a separate key for the washrooms which made my son very happy since he has to use the washroom often. -The laundry room was good but some machines were out of service and we had to wait longer to use existing ones. -Also it was an old soap bar under the bed. My son found it when he was looking for his socks. But it didn't bother me because it not important. The major things were great and we're happy ! Definitely staying again at Staybridge Hotel. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Unbelievable What a pleasant surprise. The location of the hotel to tourist attractions were excellant. Many were an easy walk to or the subway and hop on-off buses were also very convenient. We were delayed by 7 hours due to a land slide on the tracks however we called twice, spoke to two different people, about our late arrival and were told our room would be held until we arrrived. Upon arrival we were all greeted with not only a smile but also bottles of water- thank-you. As for our suite we were warned by many people about how small the rooms in New York City are and how slow the elevators were in this hotel. We found both items to be false. Our suite was wonderful for 4 adults, with a completely furnished kitchen, and the elevator never took more than a few minutes to come. We will definitely look into staying at Staybridge Suites for our future travel plans. ALL staff give yourself a round of applause you deserve it!! July 28, 2014

I wish to also thank the following employees who went above and beyond in customer service - Maria (housekeeping), Jackson (conceirge), Ari and another front desk receptionist where nothing was too much trouble. Bequeme Betten Frühstück entspricht nicht meinen Ansprüchen, habe immer auswärts gegessen Badezimmer Dusche geht gar nicht! man kann sich kaum Duschen, sage immer Frauen feindliche Dusche! hatten zu wenig Duschgele im Badezimmer. The food that was served for breakfast and at the social receptions was very good. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Rooms nice, staff friendly, but.... I stayed for a week. I was there to work and so the location mattered. The rooms were nice, roomy, and well stocked. The staff was friendly. However, the breakfast room was over-matched most of the time--not enough seats, despite overflow space--, the elevators were taxed beyond capacity (long waits), and the exercise room had broken equipment. As long as I went to breakfast at 6:30am (which I did because I had to go to work) and worked out just as early I had access to what I needed. Make sure you ask for a room on a high floor or you'll wait for an elevator forever. Our bathroom sink was very slow to drain. I asked them twice to look at it, but they never did. The exercise room was nice and had 3 treadmills--one was always broken. I travel a lot and can make comparisions. These problems need attention. July 24, 2014

Staff #at every position# was excellent - always helpful, cheerful, and ready to serve. Elevators work just fine - they are just overwhelmed. Three small lifts for the entire 300+ room hotel. Hotel within easy walking distance of everything in and around Times Square - great location. Concierge service was exceptional - made this New York rookie feel like a native! Las instalaciones son muy buenas y definitivamente es muy bueno lo que dan por el precio (teniendo en cuenta los precios de Nueva York). Quiero además opinar sobre comentarios negativos que se han hecho. En cuanto a la zona, obviamente no es la mejor, pero no tiene absolutamente ningún problema de seguridad. Y respecto de que hay que esperar mucho los ascensores o se llena demasiado el área de desayunos, ello puede ocurrir únicamente los últimos 20 minutos antes del cierre, cerca de las 10 am. Y nada que uno no haya visto en otros hoteles. Es una gran idea el buffet que sirven de martes a jueves de 5 a 7 pm. Directamente reemplaza la cena. July 23, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Would Stay Again in a NY Minute! We just returned from a 4 night stay at Staybridge Suites Times Square. It was our first trip to The Big Apple. I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. It is a perfect location -- convenient to walking to Times Square, using the subway, parking, etc. I never felt unsafe. The room was amazingly clean and was quite roomy considering what I had heard about other hotels in the area. I'm pretty picky about hotel rooms and this was one of the best. I honestly cannot think of anything bad to say. Everyone was helpful and considerate. The breakfast and afternoon meal was amazing. We didn't experience the problems with waiting on the elevator that I had heard about. I used the complimentary laundry room (GREAT amenity, by the way!) twice. All in all, Staybridge Times Square was a GREAT home away from home. If we every go back to NYC, we will stay at Staybridge again!! Thanks again for making our stay so wonderful! July 21, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Experience The Staybridge exceeded our expectations! Hotel was clean and the room was well equipped for our needs. We were able to walk to almost everything we wanted to do. There is a key subway stop less than a block away as well. The staff was very helpful answering questions, assisting with airport transportation, arranged an early check-in and a late check-out, etc. The included breakfast in the morning saved us $ and time and the happy hour was a great snack before heading out to our evening show. For balance purposes, the city is loud, and since you are right in the heart of the times square district, you hear the city noises at night. If you are a super light sleeper, just bring earplugs... this is going to be true for almost any hotel in the area. The elevators also get backup up during key times (like right before breakfast ends), so just build that into your timing. I would stay here again in a heartbeat and recommend to our friends. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Okay room with miserable temperature control Suite was a bit small but well appointed and quite comfortable with the exception of the temperature. Temperature control in the suite was totally inadequate - - the room went from too cold when the A/C unit switched on ( in mid July) to too warm when the unit switched off no matter how we set the controls. Even on low fan speed the unit produced a frigid "gale force wind" that was extremely uncomfortable. Breakfast was okay, but the hot food tended to be only slightly warm, and there was not enough seating in the dining area. The elevators were inadequate, not enough of them and too small, leading to long wait times. July 20, 2014
