I haven't been to Newark in a while but I have to say I was pleasantly surprised at how the neighborhood has developed. I would definitely return to stay at Hotel Indigo.

Indigo offers excellent value for the price when compared to other airport hotels in Newark.

My stay at Hotel Indigo Newark was the worst experience with a hotel that I ever had. The service was horrible starting with check IN. There was a long line and one person checking people in and when another person did come to help, they didn't even have my information ready. It was like I walked in off the street and wanted a room. Not like I made the reservations 3 weeks before - WHICH I DID. Once I checked in I tried to get some towels, wash clothes and hand towels. Lets just say this did not go well at all. It was like the persons that eventually brought towels and wash clothes only, did not want to and it showed all over their faces. I was told they had no more hand towels. Really - what hotel runs out of hand towels? I did talk to a manger about this the next day and he gave me some hand towels and 5000 points for my trouble. I would have preferred better service. The next day I wanted to purchase a sandwich from their little café and when I went there, it was a sign that said see someone at Front Desk for help. I went to the front desk to ask them about the sandwich and they didn’t know what was what and told me to see someone in the restaurant. Really…you are going to send me on a hunt? Ok, I went to the restaurant and ask the Bartender, as he was the one asking me if I can be helped, and he didn’t know. You would think he would say let me go and check, like someone from the front desk should have, but NO he did not. I was so frustrated at this point and let them all know it in that restaurant and let them know how disappointed I was in the hotel. This one young lady (didn’t get her name# came to me and walk me out to the café and gave me one of the sandwiches #which turned out to be Turkey) and apologized for the others not helping me. I will not stay at this hotel again, if I can help it.
