Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Highly Recommended! Staff on arrival and througout the visit were caring, attentive and polite - for me this makes for a great visit. They even put a birthday card out room on arrival for my partner after I had mentioned it at the time of booking. We had a wonderfully designed and furnished room which had a local theme and was wonderfully comfortable. We also had Sunday lunch in Marco Pierre Whites restaurant at the hotel with was fantastic. The location is central and all ameneties within walking distance - Well worth staying here! April 29, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Fab hotel Hotel indigo Newcastle is in a fantastic location for the city center. The design of the hotel is very modern, but cosy. The room was very clean, with great amenities! Staff were very friendly & helpfull! The added bonus ith this hotel is the fab macro Pierre restaurant....wonderfull food & service! We would definitely return & recommend this hotel. April 28, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by superb I do not normally do reviews but in this instance I am fully prepared to make an exception. First class service, friendly staff, great atmosphere, excellent modern accommodation. Loved it and will be certainly back. April 27, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great hotel, location and staff First stay at the hotel and I can't wait until the next one. Every single member of staff that I encountered was very friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable and clean and though the 'waterfall' shower didn't quite live up to expectations the bathroom was nicely finished. The breakfast was pretty much a feast and every meal had at the hotel was excellent. Thanks for a great stay April 25, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Lovely room Stayed in a balcony room which was lovely!especially in the sunshine. The staff were as usual more than helpful. Lovely hotel and I look forward to my next stay. April 25, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Great location, welcoming vibe and friendly and approachable staff. Central location, a modern hotel with great amenities such a small car park and gym. Fridge with complementary water , crisps, kitkat and cans of soft drinks a nice gesture. Iron and ironing board alongside hair dryer and docking station first class additions to the room. Food mostly good some delicious ( chicken Kiev really tasty ). Staff are lovely and in my experience go the extra step to make your stay here as good as they can. A few niggles such as heating, phones not working and have to say not impressed by the service charge that's added to everything. April 23, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Location and service I found the Indigo Newcastle to be very comfortable. The room was well appointed and clean. The location of the hotel near Newcastle's central station is a definite advantage. The staff are attentive and very friendly. April 21, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Beautiful Hotel with fantastic staff I stayed in this hotel with high expectations as it was recommended by a friend and I was not disappointed. As soon as I walked through the door there was staff on hand and made me feel welcome. Although I only stayed 1 night every staff member I came into contact with was friendly and gave the welcome that Newcastle people are known for! The room was spacious and excellent value for money; I have already booked for my next business meeting in the city in May. April 20, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Location I usually stay at the Gosforth Park but this time I brought some friends to see the Newcastle v Sunderland game, with 3 course meal at the Hotel Indigo so it seemed a good idea to stay at the same Hotel. I had not heard of it before but will definitely use it again. the staff were so good at everything and cheerful with it. April 20, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Stylish hotel in a central location The hotel is nice and stylish, has a modern feel to it. Its in a great location in the middle of the city centre, accessible to train station and restaurants etc. The breakfast is freshly cooked every morning and they have a great range. Other facilities such as gym, restaurant are brilliant. Very friendly staff. Would highly recommend. April 18, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Midweek stay via work I stayed in this hotel as I was a guest of a local company who were hosting a supplier night meal. Having stayed in most hotels in Newcastle as well as also providing accommodation for visiting customers to my Company I have to say I was a little apprehensive about staying here as I hadn’t heard of the hotel before. Once I entered the hotel my fears were removed within minutes as the hotel is clean, well presented and a very warm greeting meets you as soon as you arrive at the reception. My room was on the first floor above the bar/restaurant facing the stage door of the O2 academy, this being honest probably isn’t the quietest section of the hotel as the early part of the evening the street outside was full of screaming teenage girls flocking to the stage door autograph hunting from the live act that night. There was also quite a bit of noise from the supplier dinner downstairs, however to be fair I was contributing to the noise in the earlier part of the evening. The meal we were served in the restaurant was first class, estimating the number in our party as being in the region of seventy five people each the courses were served well, table for table with no usual one table being last. The food itself was excellent the steak I had was an excellent cut of meat and cooked to my exact requirements. The room was well presented, with good facilities. As with every hotel if you want to be hyper critical you can always find room for improvement. My room the basin tap was a little loose and the tea coffee facilities are in the wardrobe so you have to set the tray up next to a plug – no real hardship. The mini bar has no alcohol in it but the brings, bar of chocolate and crisps are all free so no complaints there, as after a hard days work sometimes its good to get a nice cup of tea/coffee and a biscuit and the laptop boots up. Speaking of which free WIFI in all areas of the hotel just select the hotspot and off you go. Breakfast is cheaper if you book on checking in, being honest not the biggest or best I have had for the best part of £16, but what you get is decent quality. I never got to really see the entire hotel as it was a business trip, ideally I would have liked to try out the leisure/fitness room etc as Hotel Indigo may be a new option for my company going forward as we host our own Customers, contacts etc. In summary worth a visit. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Don't stay anywhere else :-) Fantastic experience at this very modern, beautifully designed and finished hotel which is within 3 minutes walk of Central Station. Staff are extremely pleasant, courteous and attentive. Fantastic, relaxing, luxurious lounge area. Room was spotless with ultra-modern bathroom. Free use of fridge stock a pleasant bonus ! The only reason you shouldn't stay here is if it's fully booked ! AH April 14, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very comfortable, stylish hotel - great breakfast too! A real gem of a hotel. I stayed for seven nights (my maximum tolerance in a hotel is usually 3 nights) and enjoyed every night. Also a great location April 14, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by It's the staff that make it Modern hotel with interesting decor - colour co-ordinated rooms with a photo of a local architectural feature covering the whole wall behind the bed. Extra to normal hotel room facilities were lights in the wardrobes, and free mini-bar contents - limited to two cans of soft drinks, a Kit-Kat and a packet of crisps (though suitably upmarket Tyrrell's), but replenished daily. No bath in our room, but a large walk-in shower with both an overhead monsoon head and a hand-held spray. Excellent breakfast - interesting selection of accompaniments to the usual bowls of grapefruit / orange / melon - e.g. red berries compote, figs & pistachios. Variety of cold meats & cheeses for continental, or a range of cooked-to-order dishes - including smoked haddock, which was not on the breakfast menu, but which they were happy to provide when asked. This helpful attitude pervades the whole hotel, as it should in any establishment, but often does not. All the Indigo staff were wonderfully friendly, and clearly enjoy their work, creating a relaxed atmosphere while maintaining the staff-client relationship. Our only problem was with the underground car park. Close pillar spacing means that the marked bays seem designed exclusively for Minis. Manoeuvring even a medium-sized car into a slot is a challenge. The open-air section above has somewhat wider slots, but the barrier mechanism is unreliable. During a 4-night stay, it rejected my key-card several times. The friendly receptionists happily re-programmed it, but that should have been unnecessary. This minor annoyance, however, did not spoil a most enjoyable stay. We are now intrigued to discover whether the staff at other Indigo hotels are as friendly, helpful and happy as those at Newcastle. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by best staff i have ever encounted in a hotel the heading says it all.... utter top class proffesionalism by all members of staff in all depts. they really must hand pick these guys and strive to keep them. this always makes for a good stay. we stayed the weekend of 5th to 7th april 2013 and had a club room with a few freebies in the mini bar and a balcony overlooking newcastle. the bar area is so relaxed its unreal. really good selection of beers and cocktails prepared by the boys behind the bar who can actually make a good cocktail. the 2 young girls who worked the floor with such grace beyond their years were so polite and could actually hold a civilised conversation unlike most you encounter in hotel bars. my favorite beer was the local grainger ale which at £5 a bottle was a tad dear but to be honest it was worth it. if you want to eat in marco pierre white's steakhouse make sure you book weeks in advance if you can as it gets fully booked quickly as we found out. never mind, had a lovely chinese in hui hui. i will come back to this hotel at the drop of a hat. we really took to newcastle and the people on our first visit to the city and a lot of the thanks must go to this hotel and the staff. i wish i had got a few of their names as i would have praised them personnally April 13, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by best hotel i have ever stayed in excellent in every way, perfect location for the metroradoi arena. icing on the cake a complimentary mini bar. April 11, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great location and service Staff were extremely efficient and friendly. Bonus was an upgraded room which we hadn't expected and it was lovely. Hotel was in a great location - easy to walk to many attractions, ideally placed for what we wanted to do and so close to the station. I thought there would have been much more noise from the revellers in the street but it wasn't bad at all, possibly being on the top floor helped. The only downside was the cooked breakfast which wasn't quite the quality it could have been but it was ok. The restaurant looks a little tired but certainly not shabby. I would definitely use this hotel again but I don't want to recommend it as it might get too busy for me to get back in :-) April 8, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great location. Beware car park is open to public and not reserved for hotel guests. Also lower car park level spaces contain pillars making many spaces awkward or inaccessible. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room good and clean. Nice city view. 15 mins walk from Gateside Quays, Tyne and Millennium Bridges. 5 mins walk from restaurant areas. 3 mins walk from O2 Academy. Marco Pierre White restaurant nice too. Recommended. April 7, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by March 2013 Very good hotel for the ICH Group but the extremely friendly and helpful staff, especially Jamie, made the stay for us. A good evening out at the local comedy club mixed in and definitely using this hotel again when in Newcastle. April 1, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 Great hotel in centre of Newcastle Nice hotel in centre of Newcastle , 2 minute walk from train station . Reception staff really friendly and helpful . Restaurant very good ,Marco Pierre white , felt a little bit like a hotel restaurant in decor and feel but staff and food made up for that ,both excellent , a little bit on expensive side but exactly what expected. March 29, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Friendly staff and excellent service! A quirky boutique hotel with a great location right in the heart of the city. The hotel staff are extremely friendly and helpful and go out of their way to help. Dinner in the Marco Pierre White restaurant is a must, but beware the portion sizes as they are very generous! All in all this was the perfect place for our weekend break and would definitely recommend a visit! March 29, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good decor, great staff Nice decor, not in the best part of Newcastle. Staff were exceptional, but the bed was very uncomfortable and the floor had not been swept. Overall good experience down to the staff. March 28, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent service I've stayed at the Hotel Indigo in Newcastle quite a few times now - mainly because of the service from the front desk staff. They are great. The location is also good - handy for the Metro and for restaurants. The fitness room is good too. March 25, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Very comfortable hotel and great location Second stay at this hotel, stayed Friday and Saturday evening. Staff at the hotel are very friendly and helpful. Ate at the Pierre Marco White Steak House in the hotel and this was absolutely first class, both service and quality. My only disappointment was that I had a room straight opposite the lifts, which was quite noisy during the early hours of the morning with the younger revelers returning from their night out. I was also disappointed that being a Priority Club Gold Member, I was not afforded a room upgrade. This will not put me off though as I have booked 2 nights again in April, when the Toon play our neighbors. Maybe I will get the room upgrade this time. Overall though this is a great hotel for a few nights stay in the center of Newcastle. March 20, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by great hotel and perfect location for a night out on the town we stayed at the hotel indigo for a stag night. the location of the hotel was perfect for the night life of newcastle. cant really fault anything the rooms were great and spotless clean and the staff were excellent. i would definitely recommend the indigo and definitely stay here again. March 20, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Beautiful Hotel and Excellent service Just had an overnight stay at the Indigo and have to say it was brilliant. All staff were excellent but the front desk staff excelled. Rooms were gorgeous and very tastefully decorated. Breakfast was also very enjoyable. Also hotel in a fab location to explore Newcastle. I would have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone.
