We had 5 rooms booked arrived 3 hours before check in time and we were given a room to leave our luggage. The room was fantastic bed was very comfy the shower was superb. Having now stayed there I will not stay anywhere else in the city it was fantastic 5 out of 5. June 19, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent service,great location We recently stayed at the Indigo as we were going to a concert at the Metro Radio Arena.Great location, close to everything we needed, Arena, clubs/ pubs to watch the football after the concert, and Eldon Square to shop before returning home.The staff at the hotel were probably the best we have ever had, helpful, attentive and extremely pleasant and we have stayed in a lot of hotels.We got the opportunity to dine in the Marco Pierre Restaurant because we needed to dine early due to the concert which comes highly recommended, we'll worth a visit.The room was clean and well presented although not my taste in decor but had everything you would need.Overall a very nice experience and we will definitely stay again.The only con we would have is that it is a little expensive compared to other hotels we have stayed of a very similar standard. My best stay over 15 years and more than 500 hotels world wide. Thinking about the chemistry or the recipe to made this experience unique, for sure, beside of the excellent premises, you will be treated as a unique person. Have a nice stay and enjoy! Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Experiencing the Welcome of the North From the start of our journey to the north we were entering the unknown but it was the best start of our holiday that I could have imagined. Our first greeting at the hotel was so welcoming that I was blown away and infact it just continued from there. My friends and I now boast about the accomodation as we wanted to stay longer, the setting was clean, comfortable and light and of course the staff were faultless. The last day of our holiday was spent at the hotel which made it even more memorable. June 17, 2014

For the price I paid, the hotel far exceeded my expectations. With very high quality rooms and furnishings, my stay was very comfortable and relaxed (I wish my trip was more than one night). The staff were both friendly and professional and made me feel very welcome. I will be staying again next year and have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to my friends and colleagues. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 It starts with a welcoming smile! I visit Newcastle quite frequently and since being introduced to Hotel Indigo I always try to book in here. The smile from the reception staff is the first indication that this hotel is a little different. The rooms are very well appointed and I've always found the accommodation clean, well maintained and comfortable. Sleeping soundly is never easy in a strange bed but I sleep better here than most hotels. Facilities in the rooms are also just that bit better than the competition, more plug sockets for all you chargers, fast wifi, and big fluffy towels. The breakfast choice is good as well. Centrally placed handy for visiting the toon. I would only go elsewhere if I had to! June 14, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Friendly staff and a warm welcome Staff friendly and welcoming. Room well appointed and clean. Hotel was in a good situation, close to station and other parts of town. Staff printed off papers needed for a meeting very quickly. Ordered room service and food was a cut above the usual sort and very friendly service. Only downside was noisy guests at 4 am but not the fault of the hotel. Would definitely recommend staying here. June 13, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Fabulous Restaurant,lovely room The Restaurant food was fantastic as was the service throughout the hotel. Breakfast however wasn't that good the bacon & sausage looked anaemic, hardly cooked if the colour was anything to go by & no buns are available to go with the ham & cheese with the continental side of breakfast would not book breakfast again. It was rather noisy up until around 4am with late night revellers returning but that cannot be blamed on the hotel. Also the service charge on everything is a bit pricey. June 11, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Stylish, friendly hotel We had a corner balcony room which was fantastic, the room was huge and had everything we needed. Great bathroom with powerful shower. Comfy bed and no noise could be heard with doors closed. All staff were excellent, they were all friendly and attentive, especially when we got our times wrong and were just too late for breakfast but restaurant staff were more than happy to set a table up for us and still delivered excellent service even though we were late. Would definitely recommend staying here and eating in the restaurant too! June 9, 2014

It is difficult to find any fault at all, but the only downside was that the hot buffet breakfast was disappointing; like a lot of buffet breakfasts in my experience, the hot food was lukewarm and had obviously been standing for some time. We had a very nice continental breakfast instead. Our overall experience, however, was excellent, and when I stay in Newcastle again it will definitely be in the Hotel Indigo. June 3, 2014

Reception wanted to move us into a standard room. This was not acceptable. We had to wait 40mins in reception whilst housekeeping converted a twin room into a double. June 3, 2014

Great thought had gone into the room design offering a modern decor with thought to the tech savvy traveler - ie an input console for laptop/tablet/MP3 connectivity to tv and speaker systems in the bathroom, and plenty of ac outlets including one near the bed for the smartphone aka alarm clock! Staff friendly and service orientated. All in all a well thought out and comfortable hotel. June 2, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great design, loved my purple bedroom This was my first time in a Hotel Indigo and the overall experience was excellent. The hotel had great decor, and we were greeted by friendly reception and bar staff. I hadn't realised this hotel had a Marco Pierre White restaurant in it before we arrived so I was very happy to have lunch and two breakfasts during our stay. Fabulous cocktails were served in the bar. I loved my purple themed bedroom. I also liked the attention to detail such as the picture frame around the TV in the bedroom and lots of little style items like the black and white photos throughout the hotel with images of Newcastle architecture. I would definitely go there again if I was in the area. Its central location meant you were 5 mins from the Central train/metro station, 5 mins from the main shopping centre, and bars and pubs were on the doorstep. We arrived in Newcastle from London via the airport so we caught the metro to central station and walked 5 mins with our suitcases to the Hotel. The whole journey could not have been easier. No need to get taxis. If you want a stylish centrally located hotel this is for you. The only slight negative was we used the gym, which is basically one bedroom converted to contain gym equipment. Its not very big and the floor area is very small so if anyone else would have joined us it would have felt very cramped. However the fact that a gym was there at all was a bonus, its just quite limited in what it offers. I suggest you leave your gym stuff at home and go out and see the city instead. June 1, 2014

The staff are well-trained and always eager to please. We found the rooms very comfortable and well designed. There was even a plate with, "Welcome Back!" written in chocolate and containing two homemade cakes. We also received a hand-decorated card. We were pleased that we were able to leave our car in the car park till the afternoon of the following day. This was a great bonus as Hotel Indigo is in the heart of Newcastle. May 29, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Won't be returning Visited this hotel for our wedding anniversary, but where left feeling underwhelmed by the experience. We booked the infusion package which included a two course meal at the Marco Pierre White restaurant and a night in a superior room, when we arrived at reception they offered us a king bed executive until we showed the the confirmation email. The room was nice if a little small the balcony gave it a little extra dimension but it's a shame the view from the balcony is of the back of a Ladbrooks bookmakers and everyone's bins. We went for our meal and where promptly shown to our table we both ordered starters and mains as per the Infusion package or so we thought. The food was excellent but at the end of the meal we where presented with a sizeable bill as they didn't know we where staying at the hotel and should have ordered from the residential menu.
