Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Long Walk The hotel is very clean and the staff is very friendly. The beds are very comfortable and I would recommend a room with a river view. Its not a real good look at the river, but better than nothing. The upgrade fee for a river view is a bit ridiculous though. If you think you are just going to walk down the river to get to where all the action is, think again. It is a VERY long walk, and not real safe either. We walked it and ran into quite a few homeless people and we did not even attempt the walk back in the dark. Drive or take a cab, do not walk. August 11, 2013

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Room not ready We arrived on a Saturday, July 20th at 2:00pm hoping for an early check-in, our room was not available. (Check in was at 3:00pm) We drove around downtown and found a place to eat a late lunch. We returned around 3:30 or so and our room was still not available. The room was comfortable, however there were no bath towels in the bathroom. My husband had to call twice for towels to be delivered to the room. The outside patio was comfortable, however no table service for cocktails. Had to order inside at the bar, with only 1 bartender. Spoke with other visitors that told us to stay away from the breakfast at the Hotel as it was not appetizing, which is what we did. Uncovered parking across the street was insufficient. July 29, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Exquisite Time My fiance' and I decided to get away for the evening. At check in we were greeted at the front desk and the person at the desk recognized us as priortity club members and gave us a goodie bag for our stay. Included in the bag was water, breath mints, and chocolate covered pretzels. The bar in the hotel was very nice. The apple martini was ok. We took a stroll on the river walk and then went back to our room for the evening. The King size bed was amazing as was the shower with the wonderful shower head. I'd forgot the shaving cream, razor and tooth paste and the attendant brought it up very promptly. Great environment at this hotel and a hotel staff that was very accomodating and friendly! Will recommend this hotel to everyone that is looking for a place on the riverwalk! Thanks for the experience!! July 23, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Staff fun decore My last visit was for the better part of two and a half weeks in San Antonio. I knew Patrick (in the Bridges restaurant) from previous visits and he continues to make me feel as close to home as is possible. I made the acquaintance of another gentleman, Michael, at the front desk. He made it his business to learn my name and treat me as more than a guest as well. The staff are all friendly and have been well coached on courtesy. Twice, with different staff members, I got on the elevator and was asked "what floor?" I was on three. Both times the staff member pressed three. Both times it turned out they were going to the second floor but chose to ride with me to the top before returning the one floor for their needs. It is a small consideration, but speaks volumes about customer service. In addition to that, the hotel has a Cuban, 1960s vintage feel to it and is right on the Riverwalk. It has become my "go to" place to stay when in San Antonio. July 3, 2013

Alex was great at helping with questions and recommended a wonderful restaurant a few blocks away - great food. It was nice to be able to take a river taxi right to the hotel for the days we stayed on the river walk until late. I would stay here again if I come back. The rooms were done great, and comfortable. This was our second stay , as I take classes at the Southwest School of Art two blocks away. I will be returning again in August for more Glass Art classes , and am looking forward to another stay. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A Great Place to Stay I was very impressed with the hotel & the service. All of the staff went out of their way to help us & give us any information we needed. The outside patio & pool area are very nice. Nice quiet place to catch the water taxi or walk if you have some extra time. The only drawback is the water taxi does not run often enough & the times reported are not very accurate (not the fault of the hotel). The rooms very clean, quiet & spacious. One minor issue is it seems hard to cool the room as well at night as during the day. Not sure if this is controlled by the hotel or not, but still was acceptable. The parking lot across from the hotel was very convenient & had no issues with theft,etc. although it is NOT a locked parking area. A couple improvements to make would be to have safe deposit boxes in the room (instead of behind the lobby counter) & to offer at least a discount at the restaraunt since there is not breakfast included. The bar is also nice & convenient. This is a place a family or a couple either one would feel comfortable staying at....Well worth the price & would recommend it to anyone. June 10, 2013

I came back from a long night at a concert, feet killing me. I walked into the front lobby and sat down... and the clerk on duty at the front desk walked over and actually moved a table close to my feet so I could put my feet up and put a pillow under them... without me asking or saying anything! The riverwalk was outside our room but was a little distance to the restaurants but there is a boat taxi that can take you if you don't want to walk the distance. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very Nice Stay! We enjoyed our stay and the staff was amazing! Our first night was wonderful and we woke up to leaks in our room from very heavy rain. The staff did not question us, they gave us a refund for the room and were very sweet about it. The leak or the rain did not change the fact that our room was amazing and we were sad to have to move rooms. The value, the views, the staff, the food, and over all hotel was great and we will come back to The Indigo! Thank you for the stay! May 30, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice hotel, needs better food I like this hotel chain in general and have enjoyed my stays at other properties, but the food at this location was terrible. Dinner was room service: burger (frozen patty), fries (frozen and baked, not fried), chicken wings (frozen and warmed up). Breakfast was powdered eggs with greasy croissant, and the waitstaff at breakfast was sloppy and slow--one waitress spilled an entire tray of food on a customer's table. Another one had to be asked several times for jelly, a banana, etc. I finally just got up and got my own banana from the counter. Over all, the food tasted like high-school cafeteria food and I could see into the kitchen enough to see they were heating breakfast items up on a hot plate. Furthermore, the waitstaff had a line of beverages on the counter from which they were drinking and then the housekeeping staff came down and filled up their personal water bottles/cups from the soda gun. And yes, the spigot was touching their cups. Very off-putting. I would stay at the hotel again, but would not order any food. May 30, 2013

The location is great: on the Riverwalk yet away from the tourist traffic, easily accessible by water taxi or an easy walk to multiple restaurants, bars, etc. The rooms are very comfortable, clean and just what we wanted. My only criticism is actually a compliment to the staff at Hotel Indigo! We enjoyed several nights at the bar and one of the times we were enjoying cocktails with friends when the bar ran out of LIMES! Our server, James, actually went to a neighboring restaurant to get limes so we could have our drinks the way we like them!!!!! Everyone in our party has been in the service industry and that impressed us! Going the extra mile, thanks James! Bottom line, Hotel Indigo is great! May 24, 2013

This area was recomended to us by an employee at customer relations after a problem we encontered. Holly and her staff were amazing!! we couldnt of been happier if we had gone somewhere else this place was on the riverwalk but far enough up the north end that it was quite and we could walk to where all the action was or take the river taxi.The hotel was clean and top notch on everything fron Kurig's in the room to high end bathroom products(which you dont find at other places). Feather soft beds,pillows and blankets. We did not have time to dine there but did purchse coffee and danish from the walk counter. And cocktails on the patio! we will be back in a few years for med school graduation at Fort Sam and we will be staying at The Hotel Indigo Riverwalk. Thank You for a great stay! May 20, 2013

The only thing we were not happy with is the cost of parking our car across the street and then coming in one evening with the parking lot full. The staff was very gracious and found us another place to park at an adjacent parking lot but it made for a longer time to find and park. May 17, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not what I expected Boogers on the wall. That's what I found when we got to our room. While the hotel is on the RIverwalk, it isn't close to the shops and restaurants. Yes, they have a river taxi stand in front of the hotel, but in our 4 days we didn't see a taxi go by. The hotels bar doesn't open until 4, which isn't good when you would like to sit next to the pool with your wife and enjoy a cocktail. May 14, 2013

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Fiesta weekend First time staying at an Indigo property. I was very excited about that fact. I was recognised for my platinum status and the front gave me a choice of breakfast, free parking or 1000 points which was nice, along with a gift packge of water and snacks. Perhaps due to the fact that I used points to reserve I had the first floor room closest to the lobby which was right by the bar. I had a 7am flight to catch so I had to leave the property by 5am but the noise mainly from the Fiesta people were very very loud and I got barely any sleep. It isn't 100% the hotel's fault and I assume this isn't an everyday occurance but I was overall a little disappointed on the manner of other guests and the bar noise. May 3, 2013
