Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 Very loud Staff was great! However my room was on the corner facing the street side, as well as the parking lot....very loud all night and walls were very thin could hear every noise from other rooms! Now I understand why earplugs come with the room...they didn't work either! Shower was extremely small if you sit on the toilet your feet are in the shower. March 29, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Lovely hotel, good location but noisy rooms. I've stayed at this hotel once before on their opening weekend and it was a positive stay. As a result I booked it again but was unhappy with this experience. The room I had was on the side close to the train station and extremely loud, Not only could I hear the train whistle but the walls felt extremely thin. I could hear people running and walking above me all evening and a dog barking in a nearby room. Hallway conversations were easily heard outside my door as well. Also the restaurant in the hotel I remembered being fantastic had closed and there was nothing super close by for dining or cocktails. Though the staff were courteous and the amenities modern and clean, I will probably try another hotel when in Santa Barbara again. March 27, 2015

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Integration of arts in the space There was an opening for the art work in the hotel; I found this to be a really innovative and interesting way to integrate the community arts with the business. March 19, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Location near beach, restaurants and shopping First impression of hotel was the friendly and knowledgable staff. Location of hotel is near the beach and central pier, restaurants and shops. Room size is adequate for the amount of time spent sleeping. This location allows many fun hours exploring the neighborhood and downtown city. Art Library was outside our room so if you needed some free time there is that location or the main lobby to relax. There is construction across the street and Amtrak Railroad Station adjacent to the property. Expect some noise primarily in the early morning hours. March 18, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great location. Very convenient. I was in Santa Barbara for one night and I traveled by train. The hotel is right next to the train station and very close to the pier. The hotel also can handle any taxi needs you have and that was an added convenience. The staff is extremely nice. The hotel is not for anyone who has a problem with stairs. There is no elevator. The rooms are nicely appointed but a bit small. March 14, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great location, but noisy. Great location, in the middle of Stearns Warf, the Funk Zone and State St. Very small room, similar to New York City hotel rooms, but I'm used to that and we were out of the room for most of the day. Right next to the train station, which is great if you took the train into town, not so great when the train goes by in the middle of the night. But the hotel does give you complementary ear plugs.
