A nearby was sold out, Indigo was great. Relaxing music when you enter your room, comfortable beds.

I'll start with the good. Very clean! Excellent front desk service. Now for the bad...For the extremely high price for this hotel you don't get anything for it. The room no bigger than a standard, run of the mill room. The air conditioner kept us up all night surging on and off.

I can't say much other than this was our first Indigo and would really have to think hard about staying at one again.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by NickiB13 Wonderful Hotel near Downtown Sarasota
This property is bright, fresh, modern and very clean. Staff goes out of their way to please guests. Location is convenient to both downtown Main Street (walking distance) and the Sarasota beaches. Nice restaurant in the hotel. Try some of Sol's cheesecake - close to the best I ever had!
Will definitely return to this property when I visit Sarasota again.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Alan-21 Great hotel and staff
The hotel lobby is beautiful and the staff are very helpful and friendly. There is even a cool-looking "hydration station" where you can fill up flasks (provided in the room) with free, filtered water. The rooms are very nicely decorated, spacious, and comfortable, and you can request adjoining rooms if you're traveling with children. Our bathroom had a large modern walk-in shower and lots of counter space (always a plus). Probably most important is that the rooms were very reasonably priced, given that you can walk to the main downtown area or the marina in about 10 minutes.

We travel the globe and found Hotel Indigo Sarasota beyond our expectations both for the charm, clean accommodation, delightful and helpful staff and quality of food and choice in the restaurant. Since this is our first Hotel Indigo experience we can only recommend the Sarasota location but will definitely consider Hotel Indigo in other cities.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by The Belgian A strategic location
The hotel is easy to find and convenient to get to the Ringling Museum, while having more style than some of the hotels closer to the Ringling.
Dwarfed by big buildings and garages right behind it, it looked rather forbidding upon arrival. In the end, although cramped, the lobby is rather welcoming. I also liked to be able to stroll to the public garden on the other side of Route 41. The hotel itself has no garden or greenery of any sort. Basically it's a fairly standard hotel, more suitable for business trips than for an unforgettable holiday. Still, I'd probably recommend it to friends because of the package it offers compared to its competitors.
