I stayed at this hotel in June 2014. The staff was very friendly and gave great service. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. I would recommend this hotel and will stay there again.

Great place to stay and relax. The rooms are very nice and the staff is great. The surrounding area is mainly for a mature crowd but still very nice. Beach area is wonderful wish I could have spent every night on the pear.

We always stay at Holiday Inns because the brand is consistent with their level of service and accommodations. In addition, my wife and I enjoy the amenities such as the complementary breakfast (especially the waffle maker) and the gym. Most importantly, this particular Inn was pet friendly and very accommodating by granting our request for reserving a room on the first floor, close to an exit, which was very convenient for taking our dog out for her walks. Last but not least, all the staff were very friendly and helpful in suggesting restaurants in the local area.

first person one sees first thing in the morning, beyond traveling companions, is the breakfast hostess at HIE. nobody likes grumpy. morning, noon and night, grumpy is not the thing. often the food was heated and reheated, and the sausage turned a grayish shade as the salt condensed during reheat. the eggs were not fresh. one knows the crust on eggs is old, not crispy delightful! moreover, if one doesn't care for her job, or is experiencing other challenges in life, it cannot come to work. i am a platinum reward member, meaning that i have stayed at many IHG. i have not, to date, felt as if i was an imposition during the breakfast time.

Everything was fine. Pool was not inviting. Waited at front desk for about ten minutes to check out. Other than all of that it was a fine stay.

A great stay and wonderful sleep as always. Our go to spot when the condo isn't ready, its a wonderful mattress, we always tumble in early and sleep late. Get up just in time for breakfast. The breakfast lady is just awesome, friendly and helpful as are all the staff. Definitely send people here and will be back again and again!!

We recently had the pleasure to stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Venice, Florida, as we were passing through on our way to Key West. The hotel staff was great, the price was very reasonable and the hotel itself was clean, and very well kept. We will definitely stay here again next time we are in the area.

We have been Prioirty club members for a long time and have always received wonderful service until this trip. This hotel did not come up to the normal HI standard. No one was at the front desk when we arrived but the head housekeeper did come up and greet us and ask us to wait as the front desk mgr was out running errands. We WERE NOT greeted as IHG Priority club members and our room rate was twice what we normally pay. We were not offered water or snacks as other IHG hotels do for us. We were not offered an upgrade as is normal for us. The luggage trolley was in need of replacement. The room had an odd smell when we entered and when my wife handed me the ice bucket the lid was dirty - she washed it . She placed her hand on the bathroom sink and it felt dirty so she wiped it off with a napkin and it came up black. I took the napkin to the front desk and although they apologized they said "their best person" had cleaned the room. Nothing else was offered such as a room change or an upgrade.... When I returned to the room my wife was cleaning all of the top services and the napkins all had a black grit on them. Upon retiring for the night I found that my side of the bed was 'broken' - springs separated. I slept fitfully. and could not wait to leave the next morning. We did NOT eat in the breakfast bar as we thought it may not be clean. A very poor experience from this motel..... I will NOT stay here again.

I will say, staff is friendly and helpful however we, along with other guests felt deceived by the description of location on the Holiday Inn website, it states that they are located a doorstep away from the beach, now I may be no English major but Doorstep means either on the beach , across the street or even a block or two away. Instead you must get into a car and drive 10-15 minutes to get there, not that it's a problem if The Holiday Inn would sell it that way. They should remove that description in order to avoid other guests from feeling disappointed or deceived!

The internet service is very poor- even with the newer update. Streaming videos often interrupted to reload ( 5 times on a 60 minute commercial.)
Common areas dirty- stairwell, elevator and I never observed any mopping. Rooms fairly clean unless you looked behind items. Repair in hallways remaining g incomplete for some tome. There was dog per at side door that was left until I complained as well as dog fevers on the sidewalk. Trash (cans, cigarette butts. "Fluff" from dryer on grounds as well as dog fevers not picked up I. Pet area. This is not a clean hotel. Upholstery in room also dirty and stained as well as worn.
Staff is great - helpful in letting my dog out
Room odor OK only- real problem with air conditioning since it would not come on if cool outside even of room hot. Newer air conditioners installed but very noisy in some rooms

Baggage cart needed to be repaired or replaces. All the bedroom furniture was in bad condition. Bed was acceptable but the rest was in dire need to be replaced.
Also woke up in the morning at 6:30 to a dog howling thru the bathroom fan/exhaust. People were probably at breakfast and locked the dog in the bathroom. Front desk was notified.

It's just great place to stay when in this area. Very convenient access to I-75. The lady that prepairs breakfast is a real gem. It's all you could ask for when passing through this neck of the woods.

This place is awesome, the breakfast was good the hostesses Jean and Shirley were on top of things and kept the breakfast well stocked. The house keeping staff kept our room very clean and well stocked. We spoke with Bridget almost every day and had many wonderful conversations with Jackie. We will return and recommend our friends and family to visit this hotel.

Lächerlich war die Berechnung von 1 Dollar für die Safenutzung.
Wurde nach Reklamation storniert.
Der Safe ist eine Metallbox, die man sich einfach unter den Arm klemmen kann.

WE ENJOYED OUR STAY HERE AT THIS HOTEL , ESPECIALLY SINCE IT WAS "PET FRIENDLY" WHICH IS THE MAIN REASON WE STAYED THERE. BUT IT WAS TOTALLY A PET FRIENDLY HOTEL. THANK YOU FOR THAT.

We were very pleased with our room and rate but were extremely happy to have such helpful and friendly staff. We've stayed at many Holiday Inns over the years and have always liked the fact that they're always clean, affordable and have lots of amenities.
What set the HIE in Venice FL apart was the excellent staff. From the front desk crew to the breakfast servers to the housekeeping staff we were always well taken care of.

We will not stay at this location again. The desk clerk quoted a very high rate saying the "manager rate for tonight is $.... Even after being informed that we are Priority Club members and that the rate was much higher than we had paid at two different Holiday Inn Express locations on the prior two nights she still insisted that she could only lower it a small amount if I had an AARP card. It was not until I asked that she at least enter my Priority Club info that she said she would give us the rate we had previously been charged. Don't need to be made to feel like I was being done a huge favor for being charged a standard rate!!!

Our recent visit to the HIE in Venice FL was very enjoyable and the staff ensured our comfort by being very attentive. Thank you HIE for the incentives provided to me as a Platinum rewards member. It's the small things that sets HIE apart from all the other hotel chains.

Normally I can sleep on a bed of nails - but this bed was the worst - our room 403 was very worn - carpets and ottoman were stained the lampshade was broken - the shower curtain was stained - housekeeping replaced it when we requested a clean one - the grout in the bathroom needed to be bleached - I would highly recommend replacing the mattresses- we checked out early.
Jennifer is wonderful. She is a great asset to you.
