Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Sissyfamily Nice suite
We had a very nice junior suite for our 3 day stay. All staff was wonderful and accommodating. Cafe food was very good so we didn't feel we had to leave for every meal. Location to old Scottsdale is great. We travel with our dog and were quite happy with the pet friendly policy at no cost, big plus for us. We will return!

I usually stay at Crowne Plaza hotels, and this was my first Indigo Hotel stay. I would say the atmosphere is more trendy and upbeat. I do recommend staying at a Indigo Hotel just for the experience.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Rich34 Mediocre stay
This was my second time staying here and I had the same room. The internet was horrible in my room and only had one bar on average. I called the front desk multiple times about the issue and they had me talk with someone from AT&T to troubleshoot the issue ... needless to say, nothing was made better.
The computers and internet is frequently down in the business center and there was another issue when it came time to print something.
My check in was delayed an hour despite getting there at 4 p.m.
The food is poor, and I don't believe anything is actually cooked there.
The AC in my room was very loud and borderline unbearable.
The only reason I would consider staying there again is due to the location. This place could be great, but it has been less than average for me during my two stays.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by divot Not impressed
Room was a bit dated.
There were stains on the wall under the sink from water leaking.
Base of the bed was scarred up.
The windows were very dirty.
The overall cleanliness of the room was below average.
On the plus side, valets and front desk staff were very friendly and helpful.

Staff continuously used the elevators when the guests were using them. That tells me they were never trained not to use the elevators when guests are using them.

This was my second stay at a Hotel Indigo. Both experiences have been great. I have to go back to Dallas and I will be staying there, and really looking for a reason to get back to Phoenix! I am checking daily for a reason to get back! Great room, staff and everything!
THANKS

My wife and I stayed at the Indigo in Scottsdale for a long weekend. The hotel was great and staff outstanding. Our room was comfortable with a nice contemporary design. If you're looking for a place to stay that's not the usual chain hotel I'd recommend it.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by bjmcveigh Very noisy, but overall decent.
My wife and I came to Scottsdale for the weekend of October 20-22. We chose the Hotel Indigo for its centralized location and relatively low cost. The hotel is in relatively good condition with a spacious room and pretty typical amenities.
Pros:
Location is very central with walking access to bars, restaurants, shops, etc
Price is very competitive, and overall a good value.
Staff is very friendly and helpful. I was recognized as a priority member and thanked for being a customer
Free parking is available (on-street)
Cons:
Location & Noise - This hotel is surrounded by nightclubs and it is VERY noisy on the weekends. This is definitely something to keep in mind for what you want out of your weekend stay. If you want to party all night this hotel is perfect. If you want a weekend of rest & relaxation this will absolutely not work for you.
Shower gets water all over the place. Just a poor design, you'll use a lot of towels if you want a dry bathroom floor.
Other thoughts:
Parking - On-street parking is free, valet is $15/night. This does not mean your car will be parked underground as I unfortunately found out. I was a bit upset about that as it's why I opted to valet in the first place. I did ask for the charges to be removed from my bill and they were without argument. (Great staff)
Bar - pretty expensive, $8 for a cocktail (not a double) is a bit high for my taste, but it's Scottsdale. Bartender Jason was a lot of fun and we enjoyed our evening at the bar.
Would we return? Not likely. The noise really is a deal-breaker for us. We hardly slept at all because of it and the reality is if we were in our mid-20's this would be perfect, but we just want different things out of our vacations now. More resort, less party. Not really anything against this hotel, it just doesn't align with our priorities any longer.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Unhappyguest2 Do not stay here if you want to get any sleep!
My experience at this hotel was very poor. This is very much a partying hotel. Do not stay here over the weekend if you want to get any sleep. The partying was permitted by hotel staff until 3am on Friday and 5am on Saturday. Other guests were permitted to yell and scream down the hallways all night long, even those with rooms located by the front desk. I would not recommend this hotel.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by TammyP Great service
We stayed here for our anniversary. The hotel was nice enough to upgrade us to a suite that was available. It was very nice.
We unfortunately discovered that our sheets were dirty. The hotel staff was very accommodating and fixed it quickly, bought us breakfast and left us a bottle of champagne.
It was much appreciated and we will return.
I will add that the room was right next to the elevator. It was extremely noisy in the morning. Ask for a room further away next time.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Sue0606 Service cannot be beat!
The Hotel is beautiful. Rooms large with comfortable everything. Interior Decorating unique. Pool and Bar with outdoor seating in the most convenient location to everything in Scottsdale is wonderful. That is not why you should stay there. I am sure you can find all those things. What can't be beat is the service. From the moment we walked in to the last stop on our way out we felt we knew everyone and they cared about us at every moment. From the manager to the maid. Awesome staff. Thank you Bleu,Brooks,Justin,Jillian,Benjamin and everyone else who I am sorry I cannot remember your name. We will be back!

When in Scottsdale this is our choice hotel, we have stayed a couple of different times now. The rooms are nice, the staff is friendly, and it's decently priced. Also very close to restaurants and the Fashion Mall. Next time we are in the Scottsdale area we will stay there again.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by lllg fire alarm went off in the night
After mnidbight on our first night there the fire alarm went off and within minutes someone was knocking on our door asking for us to leave immediately for the outside. (It was over 100 degrees that night outside.) We were then outside for over an hour in which case the fire dept showed up in full guard and with several trucks.
We were impressed with the way the staff handled a situation that was out of their hands. (They found out later that an outside transformer blew out the electricity from the entire block.)
Within two hours we were back in the lobby and finally told what was happening. At that point the mngr bought pizzas and soda for the group and within 1/2 hour we were back in our rooms with the air conditioner on. The most impt point to my husband (a financial planner) was that the mngr comped our room fee. If he had not done this we had already decided to leave the hotel that night. We then decided to stay the second night as planned.
A great location for walking the Old Town area of Scottsdale.
We would return again.

Outstanding service by Blue and staff who ensured that all of my birthday wishes were completed. The staff was even so kind as to help with transportation by shuttle to our first destination and grouped all of our guests together for convenience. The service, price and accommodations are an excellent value and we will be back and recommend this location time and time again.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Mrdbake An excellent stay
I truly consider myself lucky when I get to stay here. The hotel is in a great location close to shopping and dining. The rooms are modern and comfortable. But what makes this hotel exceptional is the staff. If you are a priority club member, be prepared to feel like a VIP upon check in. Customer service is king here. Everyone that I met greeted me and went out of their way to provide excellent customer service. I stay in hotels approximately 200-250 days a year. The customer service ranks in the top 3 with four and five star hotels.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by mwallace Fabulous staff and great location!
We loved almost everything about our stay. Bleu and Ryan (the hotel managers) were fabulous and went out of their way to make sure we had a fabulous anniversary trip. The first room we had was right by the elevators and I'm a light sleeper, so we asked to move. They put us in a perfect room overlooking the pool and at the opposite end from the bars (we heard those can be very loud). We didn't have a problem with noise and our room was perfect. The location is nice to walk to Fashion Square Mall and some nearby bars and restaurants. Although we walk a lot so we didn't mind walking in to Old Town Scottsdale (and even the five miles back from Camelback Mountain). The pool was small but nice enough. They played good music at the pool, but the water was ice cold and not always the cleanest (but we just laid out and enjoyed our drinks anyway:)). The fitness (or phitness as the sign says) is one of the best I've ever used. Overall, really enjoyed our stay and will definitely go back next time we are in Scottsdale!

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by RH61 Hotel Indigo - Phoenix May 2012
overall - the hotel was very convenient to my work location, and is a short drive from the airport. I do like the atmosphere of trendy carpet, fixtures, and art in the hallways, and room.
My room was an upgraded king suite at the end of the hall. Very spacious, Foyer, with space, hidden mini fridge, and area appropriate art work. Bathroom was very spacious with two sinks, large shower (no sliding door) - nice design.
My issue is with the location of the room Airconditioning Unit. It is located in the corner of the room UNDER the desk which creates poor air circulation. The room thermostat is govenored at 68 degrees, and the six sq. feet around the unit is cold - the floor the desk and things close, but the rm thermostat still shows that the room is about 77 degrees - which might seem comfortable compared to 108 outside Phoenix temp in May, but truly the room is not all that comfortable - temperature wise.
If you are a business traveler (as I) there is little to no desk space to work from in the corner by the AC unit. The widest part of the desk, which is shaped like a long triangle, is barely wide enough to let you sit your laptop down plug it in and work comfortably. It is extremely cold where I sat to work (due to the proximity of the AC Unit) and not conducive to work there for long period.
The desk and AC were my biggest issue. I went to the front desk to ask about another room for a future stay, and they told me that the rooms are all laid out in that fashion.
I am a long time (10+ years) platinum member of Priority Club, and will not be staying at this hotel in the future. I will try to find another HI property nearby.
