Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Business traveler The two serious problems with the hotel are the room finishes and amenities and the food quality. staff are very courteous. The snack bar to purchase snacks from s very sub par as well. January 19, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice clean room but next door to a nightclub Upon arriving at Hotel Indigo, the property seemed out of place in the Civic Center area of town. A large condominium project was under construction adjacent to the hotel and business offices were located directly across the street. However, the hotel itself was pleasant inside and the staff was extremely friendly. The room was clean and housekeeping staff was very accommodating. My ONLY complaint was the nightclub/bar located nearby. The music (more like the bass) emanated into the room and on one of my nights there they must have had a contest of some sort because you could hear the MC making announcements and much cheering from the crowd. Thankfully the bed was very comfortable so I managed to get some sleep if I hunkered down enough. If I stay at this hotel again, I will request a room on the opposite side of the building. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by It's all good As far as my wife and I are concerned, Hotel Indigo is the place for us when in town. Our family reside nearby and the entire area is great. It's affordable to those who can only dream of some of the alternatives. Hotel Indigo's staff are friendly and very accommodating. Alyssa is a server in the morning for breakfast and she does a great job. The rooms are nice and comfortable. All areas are well kept and clean. Most important, we slept very well and the bathroom is nice. Parking was not a problem at al and we felt secure. January 17, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Party Place Nice hotel, staff was all excellent but a bad match up for what we were looking for. If you like to party at the local clubs this place is excellent. If you are looking for a romantic get away with the wife, not so much. January 17, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Super 4 nights Enjoyed a wonderful stay at the clean, carpet free, modern Indigo hotel in Scottsdale. Lovely rooms, helpful January 17, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Dr. Ed. As for personal comfort the hotel was excellent but the rooms next to be refurbished since they show stress from age. January 16, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Location Location Location This hotel does some things very well, some things average, and some things disappoint. The good: Location is the biggest plus. It is just a 3 minute walk to the shops and restaurants of Old Town Scottsdale. The staff at the desk and bar are great people and attentive to your needs. The average: The entire hotel is a rehab of some older hotel and the workmanship is kind of haphazard. The design stuff is neat, a kind of Euro-funk new vibe to it. The design is nice but our room was hard to maintain temperature since it was right by the boiler room (I think) which also makes it a little loud. . The disappointing: The materials are wearing out. The floors are warping (laminate in rooms), the fire pit is cracking and the seating benches are separating from the walls. There was a balcony in the room but no chairs to sit on. The dresser is WAY TO SMALL January 15, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Mostly good The location of the hotel is great. Most of Old Town and Downtown Scottsdale are within walking distance. My wife and I were escaping the kids for sun, romance and a little golf. We didn't rent a vehicle as the hotel advertises a free shuttle service within 3 miles and we can walk to most restaurants and bars... what they don't tell you is that the shuttle only operates on weekends and we were staying from Sunday to Thursday. Needless to say, we spent more than we had planned on taxis. The front desk basically dismissed us when we asked about the shuttle. We spent some time each day at the bar in the hotel. The service was outstanding. Ben (cook), Mike H and Jillian (bartenders) were all very friendly and they really made this stay enjoyable. We wanted to watch junior hockey world championship games and they put those on for us and even turned up the sound! Overall, the hotel is in good condition. It's small with no restaurant and the pool is small (but heated). The pool was also not very clean, obiously not kept up to date as it is January. The gas fire pit on the patio was very cool. Overall it was a very enjoyable stay and I wish I could give it a 10 out of 10 but advertising free shuttle service and then not providing it or even trying to make up for it with an apology or something more meaningful like a complimentary beverage or something has left a sour taste for my wife and I. We will explore other hotels in the area next time. January 14, 2015
