Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by siutted our needs for the weekend satisfied with the stay would come again. Did not like the view of the warehouse or trucking company in the back. September 19, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Poorly managed, poorly maintained. I had not stayed at this location since 2009. I am pretty sure that they did scant maintenance or cleaning since then. The room was tired looking. The wall graphics were faded. The trendiness is gone. When I checked in, I was not advised of the location of anything, nor were there signs. I wanted to find the workout area and pool and promptly learned that the stairwell locks on every floor! I had to ask the front desk where they hid the pool. It is in the basement. The pool area is nice enough, however, if they feel it is necessary to lock every floor, how safe can the pool be? When I got back to my room, there was no TV. I called the front desk and they said, oh, yeah, it's out. They offered me free breakfast. Since it was late, I went to bed without the news. When I went to claim my breakfast, the restaurant told me I could only have ONE item. No egg with your toast! I went back upstairs to grab something before I went out for the day, and there, in the trash was my recycling. Nice. Their overall attitude of not caring came through in so many ways. I returned in the evening to no TV yet again. I was too tired to deal with their staff again. As I was sitting there not watching TV I noticed the curtains were not supposed to be gray, they were just that dirty! The stains on the rug became more annoying the more I thought about it. The whole point of the laminate flooring is so that you can remove a nasty rug without having to remove the whole carpet, isn't it? The next morning, the bill was under my door. Two nights plus parking. No accommodation for the lack of accommodation. I won't be staying here again. If you are looking for a mediocre room in close proximity to a seedy strip of creepy establishments dedicated to the exploitation of women the Hotel Indigo is a good choice. If you turn right out of the parking lot, there are several clubs for pathetic types. If you turn left, you can get on the expressway and go to a nicer hotel. My recommendation. September 18, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Clean, Convienent, Overall hotel was clean and staff was friendly and accommodating. I had problems with the TV and they immediately switched me to another room. September 18, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Weekend This is next to an airport, so planes flying overhead was expected and this was no problem. Our cable service was out during our 2 day stay, but the staff informed us we could have free movies for the weekend. This more than made up for the cable being out. We had a great stay. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Hotel Indigo - great value, comfortable place and excellent staff I have stayed here before, and stayed again for one Saturday night - always a pleasure to be here. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable, the staff is friendly and engaged, and the hotel is well located (even though close to the airport, it is quiet at night). September 17, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Frequent Business Traveller I always notice staff who are above average and make you feel welcome and who interact with comfort and ease. I always rate staff who are problem solvers and not just "note takers". Although I did not have have major problems to solve you alway know and can tell who can solve problems if they come up. I would hire all of the staff I had contact with ... they were all committed to make my stay as comfortable as possible. The staff who drove the shuttle bus were also kind and considerate. The lasies at the front desk were very helpful and efficient checking me in and out. The firendly gal who served me breakfast was very efficient and always kept my coffee cup full. I had made an office in my room and it was messy with my piles of papers scattered around the room but housekkeping made my room as clean and comfortable as possible. Good Job!! September 15, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Uncomfortable intimacy with strangers Although labeled a non-smoking room, there were multiple cigarette burns in the flooring and rug, and the room smelled of stale smoke and cleaner. The acoustics in the hotel were dreadful. I could hear every noise from the adjoining room, including unzipping luggage, rinsing hands and going to the bathroom. Created an uncomfortable and unwelcome level of intimacy with strangers, one would expect in a college dorm or bunkhouse. There was also frequent noise from the hallways and when in the hall I could hear guests taking their showers. I was scheduled to stay two nights but canceled my second night and went elsewhere. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best kept hotel secret in Toronto! Tremendous value for the money! The hotel, amenities and staff were top notch! I have stayed at other hotels in Toronto for more than 40 years but, the Hotel Indigo near the Toronto International Airport is a refreshing change from the 'usual' hotel experience for travelers. Refreshing in it's ultra modern appearance throughout and tremendous services offered by the hotel and it's staff. It is a pleasure to stay at the hotel with great accommodations, food and service. And all at such a tremendously low price in comparison to other hotels in the area. A great value! I will be back again!! September 13, 2014
