We enjoyed our stay, but we thought the room expensive and we did NOT like the fact that the Internet was so expensive. We stayed at the Doubletree in Milton Keynes the next 2 nights and it was free there. And the room was much cheaper, and the hotel newer. Apart from that our stay was fine.

Great service & friendly staff. My wife and I were staying for a local wedding which started at 2pm. We were allowed to check in very early at 12pm and were also upgraded to an executive suite at no extra cost. The hotel has everything you need for a short stay whether business or pleasure & the breakfast was great. I would recommend to anyone needing a local short or business stay.

I am not sure about how the service in the restaurant or pub is supposed to work but the service was poor. the people were nice but it never worked the same way twice......with limited options I would avoid staying there in the future.

I was staying at the Holiday Inn on business and enjoyed a swim before dinner. The service, food and room comfort were very good but I didn't get to sleep until 5am due to my very noisy neighbours. I rang reception at 1am to complain but could'nt get an answer from the front desk, I rang again at 3am and a lady came up nd asked my neighbours to keep the noise down. Things did not improve until they checked out at 4.40am. I would hope this is not a regular occurance but it certainly left me feeling less than capeable to work all day and drive 250 miles home the day after.

The room we were originally given was rather tired, the 'sofa bed' was a camp bed and not very comfortable, we had a few other issues with the room, however when we contacted reception, our complaint was dealt with very quickly and we were tranferred to a far superior room.
The restaurant did not open until 7.30pm due to a prebooked coach party, we could eat from the restaurant menu, but we had to sit in the bar area. Whilst the staff were very accomodating and polite, not being able to sit in the restaurant whilst the coach party 'took over' made many residents feel like 'second class citizens' and this was not a good move by whoever was in charge on the day!

Attended a wedding in the area. Booked the hotel for two nights, great value for money as it was the early booking Special Deal. The room included breakfast which was excellent with plenty of options. It was a very cold weekend but the rooms were lovely and warm and spotlessly clean. Friendly helpful staff.

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary recently and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the staff friendly and helpful and facilities and food of a high standard.
We have stayed here on numerous occasions and always have a good time.

A typical business hotel. Not good on a budget. £12+ per day for internet access is ridiculous.
