Everything at this hotel was prepared on time and first rate. The staff always makes me feel like a part of the family. In fact I always enter and exclaim, "I'm home!"

MAYBE its because I used priority points as payment that I received such a bad welcome that my wife wanted to leave and forget this hotel. WE arrived a little early to check in and were told no rooms were ready at 2:45 pm /as well as several others . WHEN we were checked in there was no mention of our priority club status and had to ask for internet code . Front desk people /name unknown /had no name tags /addressed me by name and acted as though I was some homeless bum from the street. NEEDLESS to say I will never stay at this property again / YOU'VE be warned. ANOTHER customer wrote a bad review with tripadvisor about this property who also booked with points.

This is a wonderful HI Express Hotel. The amenities and accommodations are well above average for the HIX we are familiar with.
BUT - the thing that really stands out at this hotel is the friendly staff - they are helpful, inviting, pleasant - after the most brief encounter you almost forget they are actually not family.
Our stay was for several days and it was most pleasant.

I have traveled to many hotels and found out that it’s not really the way the employees describe it, but this time it was the other way around. It was correctly described and also was most benefiting to me since they had the wireless internet and also the huge breakfast that they have at the hotel. I was there on a business trip and was stuck in Bakersfield. Therefore, I decided to give this new place a try. The room was huge and comfortable as well as the big plasma TV and the shower as well it had so many jets on them as well. I felt like I was at an upscale hotel. Come on an upscale hotel in Bakersfield but this proved me wrong. It is the best hotel in town and I have made this hotel our corporate hotel to stay at every time we come to Bakersfield.
