Warm welcome on arrival, room was excellent, spacious, comfortable and clean.
Pleasant location. Good local restaurants.
Breakfsts was excellent.

Not only my booking got lost, I even received a email that was adressed to another guest.
Arriving in the hotel they had given my room to another guest, telling me 'you already checked in yesterday'.
None of the staff could explain how that happened.
They managed to give me another room, but since no nonsmoking room was available i had a room that was terribly smelling of cigarettes.
In the whole hotel the A/C did not work so the people in the 4. and 5. floor had around 29°C in their rooms.

1- Air conditioning was locked at 19 degree outside temp, so I could not turn it on. The room was hot.
2- Window could be tilted only and not opened
3- Sheets were NEVER changed during my 6 days and 5 nights stay :(
4- Despite the sign in the bathroom, no amenities were provided when asked, my husband forgot his shaving cream, when asked for one, front desk said: he has to go to the market across the street and purchase one.
5- Front desk staff were very unfriendly and rude. One in particular, Ms. K. Skobjin was always rude, with an attitude. On 3rd day, I had to complain about her behavior to her manager.
6- All front desk staff were not helpful when asked for direction or suggestions. Their responds to any questions were: "I don't know"
7- I had to leave my luggage in the luggage room for 24 hours,
Ms. K. Skobjin, angry and rude as always took it, but she did not provide any ticket for it. After going back to the front desk, I still asked her if she will give me a ticket, she rudely replied, why do you want a ticket, you are here and I know you. I asked if she will be working 24 Hrs from now, she said no. I asked her: “then when I come back for my luggage, how can I prove that I have one on hold for me?” she got even more upset, she took a ticket out and threw it at me and said: here, what else do you want?
8- There is no wireless internet connection in the room: two issues with that:
a- I use iPad, so the wire connection in the room is not compatible with iPad, so I couldn't work even if I paid for “in room internet”
b- Using the wireless in the lobby: the lobby is small and always busy and packed with people, I either couldn't find a sit or even worse, I could not attend any of my " Conference calls". I was on a business trip and I could not do my work :((
9- There was no business center with closed door to provide privacy
10- Small TV, with few channels and all in German, with terrible reception
11- I booked a room for 3 people. The room they gave me was extremely small with no free space to even walk around. I could not even use the desk to sit and do my reports.
12- There were no room services. I had to go to reception for everything. The front desk staff, did not even answer questions over the phone. Each time they asked me to go down to the front desk to ASK my questions.
13- I am a priority club member, no service for this "Loyalty" membership. Something to show IHG appreciation for our loyalty.
14- Groups of Italian students were staying at the same time, and they were loud and very noisy. I asked the front desk few time to make them quite, because I had to go to work the following morning. They refused. loud students were in hallways and lobbies until 3am every night. I did NOT get a quiet night nor did I get any sleep during my stay.
I have stayed in other Holiday Inns before BUT this was by far the WORST one ever.
The only POSITIVE point about this hotel is its location. Convenient to the city center, within walking distance.

We stayed for 3 nights at this hotel and it was the usual standard you would expect for a Holiday Inn Express. The location was good. The underground subway was behind the hotel and at the end of the road (5 minute walk). The staff were excellent as was the breakfast. The room was small but adequate and clean. Only negatives were that the pillows were flat and poor and when I enquired about more pillows with reception they didn't have any. One of the nights was also very noisy. There were coach loads of teenagers who looked like they were on a school trip. They were up until 4am making lots of noise so it felt like a hostel for one of the nights. However, after complaining to the manager he did apologise and sort this out.

Excellent service from staff. Quick response to email queries. Excellent breakfast and good location. Was able to walk to many attractions. Room was comfortable though there in way to control the aircon. So we kept the room window open. There is luggage room facility. Near to S station. About 45 mins from SXF.

Das zentral gelegene Hotel ist für einen Mehrtagesausflug
in die Hauptstadt sehr zu empfehlen. Über den nahe gelegenen U-Bahnhof oder auch zu Fuß sind viele Sehenswürdigkeiten einfach zu erreichen.
Das kompetente und sehr freundliche Personal, ist zu jeder Tages- und Nachtzeit, hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend.
Das Preis-Leistungsverhältniss ist gegeben.
Bei unserem nächsten Berlinbesuch werden wir sicher wieder
einchecken.
