The hotel was as it was described, you cannot fault the value for money. The room was abit small but this expected from the type of accommodation it is. The staff were very friendly and helpful and advised us of everything we needed. No food in the evening time but a great pub/restaurant next door which was recommended by staff at hotel. Would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a one or two night break using the hotel as a base as its location is ideal.

I stay at this hotel regularly and always have a very good night's sleep as it is quiet. I am served quickly and efficiently at breakfast and in the evening. The ample car park is appreciated.

fast becoming my stop over of choice whilst in the Midlands. friendly staff, well priced and decent choice of menu. last night I was travelling from Edinburgh to London on business and chose teh HI Great Barr as a sleep over venue. Once again I was delighted with the service, even got a free upgrade without asking, thanks it is appreciated.

We had a very comfortable stay with our three children. The rooms were clean and breakfast was nice. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Overall great value for money!

Only comment is there could be a change to menus as it gets a bit monotonous for regular guests. So end up going out for evening meals

My family and I were traveling to Birmingham with a pet and this Hotel was very accommodating. The staff was very nice and helpful. This was a great place to stay, weather you are traveling alone on business or just because. The room size was great and the beds were so very comfortable. I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to the Birmingham area. The city centre is not to far of a drive and the Hotel staff can provide you with a list of shopping Mall and other things to do on your visit.

excellent value for money , some of the rooms are in need of some updating and renewal of furniture , which is a bit worn, but all in all comfortable bed, clean and excellent value good location near the M5.
