Ideal location. Not very good impression from initial staff. Allocated wrong key and casually expected me to put £25 tab on room with no warning or explanation. Expensive parking, no explanation where car park was - luckily was able to park on road. Expensive bar. Nice breakfast, not much choice with cooked food.

Overall, my 2nights were excellent except that the bed sheets were not changed after the 1st night and it was so obvious that it was not changed because it was not well straightened/ and was just rough and was only covered by the bed cover.
I would recommend that at least the bed sheet willl be removed and the bed will be well tidied up before putting back the bed sheets.
Apart from this observation, every other services were fantastic..

We didn't spend much time in the room but it was clean, tidy and comfortable for when we got in late at night. The staff were absolutely excellent and on hand at all hours.

This hotel offers everything you need in a Holiday Inn, Value, comfort and a decent breakfast.
Handy location for business, handy location for nightlife.

Convenient location with a number of places to eat and drink close by. Room and service were good and very good value - breakfast was adequate, but the sausages were poor.

We had a good experience over all. Very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff.
I though parking was bit expensive if not booked pre-hand but i guess it is expected being in the city.
Breakfast had good options but i except for scrambled eggs, not sure why

With a clean environment, friendly and helpful staff, and good access, our stay at Holiday Inn Express Birmingham exceeded our expectations. We got good value for our money and were in the right place for the City Centre scene. Happy to recommend this accommodation.
