Double billed for Laundry service.
Wifi drops connection frequently.
Interenet service was slow during peak hours, to the point it was unusable for business applications.
Hotel staff and cleaning staff were unaccommodating to a night shift schedule.
In Room AC stopped working for last three nights of stay, weather was cool outside so wasn't a large issue.
The breakfast was basic, and had little variety for the three weeks I was here.
The main entrance way window was shattered the first weekend of my stay. When I left two weeks later, the window was still not fixed.
Room was larger than a standard UK hotel, which is nice.
The bed was a nice size and very comfortable.
TV had standard HDMI plug in.
I didn't have a need to use the kitchen, but it seemed supplied with every utility you would need.
Dishwasher and Fridge.
Free self service laundry, need to supply your own detergent.
Dollar General type store and grocery store close by.
Great location for shopping and food.
Gym has a great selection of machines.
Close to the main Birmingham train station.

When moving to Birmingham from the US, we stayed at Staybridge Suites for almost a month while searching for a house to rent. The staff are incredibly friendly and the rooms are comfortable, clean, new, and well decorated. The convenience to City Center amenities is a plus.
The main drawback is the construction on the main street prevents taxis and cars from coming to the hotel front door. This means you have to carry your luggage about a block for taxis or 3 blocks for the parking deck. If you order take away, it can be a hassle for the delivery drivers to find you.
Everything else was absolutely perfect. The beds are the perfect balance of soft and firm. The TV channel selection is nice - plenty to watch. Bathrooms are spacious and modern. The kitchen allows you to save a little money by cooking. The breakfasts are hearty, especially on the weekend and there are plenty of food options. My only gripe about breakfast (a small one) is that it cuts off promptly at 9:30am on weekdays. Many people during our stay assumed breakfast continued till 10am and came downstairs to no food,
