Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice room, but original booked room wasn't available when we arrived Although the room we were given was very nice and comfortable, we had originally booked a larger suite. When we arrived, we were told that the room we had reserved had developed a leak somewhere in the room, and no rooms the same size were available. We were given a smaller suite without a separate bedroom or a living room setup. All in all, we were comfortable, but we prefer the larger suite because of the bigger table (peninsula). The front desk staff was very apologetic about the situation, and reduced our cost per night accordingly. As repeat guests to this location, we still enjoyed our time here and will return when we next travel to the east coast. May 21, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by horrible bed,great front desk the bed makes the room and it was terrible, The room is to small for recliner next to bed, hard to get in and out. Dishwasher bottom is rusty. Convenience store concept not explained at all, had to ask another guest who you pay to finf out its on the honor system, That's ok but having prices for the items would be helpful, so we would have a better idea how much we should put in the slot. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great stay, Great price Had to be in Braintree for a conference. There wasn't a continental breakfast but there was everything in my room to help me prepare breakfast. Full size fridge, stove and microwave. I slept well and the staff was very friendly and polite. May 18, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by “Find somewhere else to stay if you require Hotel facilities” I am an IHG Platinum Member and have stayed in many properties all over the world. We stayed here for 2 nights prior to our flight out of Boston to Europe, we booked the Candlewood Suites in Braintree, normally the IHG Hotels are always exceptional, this location Is the exception. It's in an out of the way location with not close by shops or restaurants, the Hotel is totally self catering no breakfast provided Other than a self service buffet type selection to be prepared by self, no pool, no daily room cleaning, the accomodation is pretty shabby, the rooms are tired, damage to walls, faulty air / heating unit, patched carpet, poor housekeeping. We were on a No Smoking floor, there was always strong smoking smells in the corridors / lift area. If we were staying longer we would have checked out, Very disappointing as the IHG brand stands for quality and good value for money. This location is none of these. Find somewhere else if in Boston / Braintree area. May 18, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Shocked I landed at Logan Airport and called the hotel to tell them I was here but running late. They confirmed my reservation and told me to take my time they were waiting for me. I got there about a half an hour later only to be told "I'm so sorry, we don't have a room for you, we will have to "walk" you. I told them I wasn't walking anywhere (I then was told that was a term meaning move me to another hotel. They tried for a half an hour calling every hotel in the area only to find they were all booked. Finally they told me they would give me another late arrival's room and then deal with them when they got there. I felt bad that I was taking someones room but needed a room myself. The staff went out of their way to help and the room was great. I would stay here again but I would call twice to make certain of the room and would arrive earlier. May 17, 2015
