Rated 1,0 out of 5,0 NOT recommended this is the worst holiday inn that I have ever stayed. The room environment is worse than some holiday inn express that i have ever stayed in other cities. There's terrible malodor in the room, making me hard to fall asleep. No separate shower room, but just with an old bath tub. I am asking for a king bed room while making reservation but was told no room and finally only get a double bed room. The breakfast area was so crowded with just so so food. It is really a not comfortable experience for my stay in Guangzhou. Definitely I won't choose this holiday inn for my next stay in Guangzhou. 14. Mai 2013
Rated 4,0 out of 5,0 by Excellent service It's my first time stay at this hotel. I was a bit worry about the aging of the room as previous review posted all showing smell in the room. I have been fortunate enough to be upgraded to a suite and the room is very clean and no smell at all. In fact, the room has been spray with air refresher and an air cleaner has been operating in the room to better improve the quality of the air in the room. The staff has been very friendly and they even have a staff right in the hall way to greet me at my floor. Overall, I am very pleased with the service I have received during my stay. 9. Mai 2013

I paid extremely high room rates due to the time of year however didnt mind originally as I thought Holiday Inn would be a good hotel as I have stayed in other establishments around Australia and Asia and they are always at a great standard and also good value. The Concierge Team out front are excellent. Executive Club Lounge was average at best not worth all the extra money and club floor room was average first room I stayed in had faulty lights and other issues took two days too move me. After many conversations. Will not be staying here again 8. Mai 2013
Rated 4,0 out of 5,0 by Good Location and Friendly Concierge Service First time staying at this hotel and thought the location was great.. only about rmb20 taxi ride from Guangzhou East station. I've also left something in the room after checkout and when I returned the following day around 4pm, the guys at Concierge were very helpful in contacting 'Lost and Found' to get the item back. Cheers to those guys Check in experience was almost perfect but the lady who checked me in did not smile and there was no recognition for Platinum Ambassador. However a room upgrade and welcome drink coupon was given. Secondly, I asked if you can include breakfast as I have always been given breakfast at another holiday inn property in Beijing with lounge access and free laundry (by virtue of my Platinum Ambassador status). The lady insisted that different properties have different policies, which is fine. But she went on to say, 'we have already upgraded your room anyway'. A smile while saying all this would have stopped me from writing this comment here. The room was great and had very good size. But the bedsheets have a smell similar to cloths that are not properly dried. Because it was late, I didn't ask housekeeping to change the sheets. The sheets were clean but I guess your laundry has not ensured that they are sufficiently dried. Check out experience was another lady (around 3pm shift) - again no smile despite thanking me for my stay. The thing that adds to the lack of smile was another staff asked her something which she responded with a rather uneasy tone. To me, if you are serving me in the counter, she should not show all these looks in front of me as a customer, moreover i was actually expecting a smile but none. I suspect she might be the team leader but I don't want to see your stress at work... come on.. cheer up like the guys at Concierge. Overall, despite some areas that I was a little particular about, the experience in this hotel was still great... good property and location.. plenty of good restaurants around... close proximity to GZ East station. 2.
