We have Manchester hotels in several parts of the city, including the airport, the city centre itself, surrounding areas and also at Salford Quays and the modern Media City. So whether you’re here for a quick break or for business, you’ll find accommodation to suit you.
Commonly considered the ‘Capital of the North,’ the city boasts a diverse population, entertainment scene and cultural landscape.
You won’t go short of shopping choices. If you’re in one of our Manchester hotels in the city centre, then the Arndale Centre is on your doorstep and houses scores of high street stores. If you’re looking to indulge, then King Street boasts designer brands galore and for those staying over at Salford Quays or Media City, the Trafford Centre is incredibly close by. This is the UK’s second largest shopping centre and as well as the retail outlets, has a cinema and plenty of bars and restaurants.
Sports fans are spoiled for choice. Premier League titans, Manchester United and Manchester City both play their football within a few miles of the city centre. The Emirates Old Trafford Cricket Ground is a short tram ride away and there are several rugby league and union teams playing close by.
Make time between the shopping and sport to take in some of the city’s museums. The Manchester Museum of Science and Industry celebrates the city’s industrial heritage. Visitors here also have the opportunity to take a short ride along part of the world’s first passenger railway line. Manchester is also home to the People’s History Museum and Imperial War Museum North, amongst others.
If an evening at the theatre is on the cards, then the Palace Theatre, Opera House and Royal Exchange Theatre are all located in the city centre. The Lowry Theatre can be found at Salford Quays. All of them frequently showcase popular musicals and plays.
If you have the energy left to party the night away, there’s a diverse selection of bars and clubs - from the Bohemian Northern Quarter to the popular Printworks and lively Deansgate Locks.
Manchester is very accessible, with trains direct from London in just over 2 hours, Birmingham in little over an hour and a half and Edinburgh in just over 3 hours. It’s also conveniently situated with access by road from the M62 and M6.
