The room was basic and comfortable and the location very central but it was the staff here that were really excellent. Nothing was too much trouble including printing, photo-copying and posting clothes which I had by accident left behind!

parking is bad and was directed 5 miles away, not great. the worst part was on arrival after been up since 4am and done a full days work plus 250 miles driving was to be forced into signing up for some rewards cards, I was knackered and ll I wanted to do is get to my room and get some rest.

The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and overall stay was great. howver what impressed me most with the hotel was that I left my laptop charger in the room . I contacted the hotel and the general maanger called me back to let me know they had found the charger. He posted it on the same day and it was with me the following day !! Amazing ! - that was definitely above and beyond . This man deserves an immediate promotion !
So I am very happy to recommend this hotel and the great staff - hanks very much .

I regularly visit this hotel and always have a pleasant experience.
The hotel is centrally located and close to all amenities.
Reception staff are friendly, helpful and will go that extra mile.
The lifts can be slow but taking the stairs is good exercise.
What I love about this hotel is the fact that the room rates are always very reasonable and not a rip off.

stayed 6 nights here on a holiday .
clean- neat rooms - decently sized, very quiet locality and yet just a 5- 7 minutes walk from East Croyden and west Croyden stations which is a great plus.
also adjoining the shopping area with lots of stores around .
surely recommend this
breakfast could be a little more elaborate- though- understand that being a express hotel it has limitations- but staying so many nights- it does get a little irritating seeing exactly the same spread daily.
had stayed in their Finchley road property in december and their breakfast was a little better with more options of chesses- cereals etc
overall - very good value for money and a great stay!

The room I stayed in stank of cigarette smoke. When I mentioned this to the reception staff they simply informed me that it was a non-smoking room. Brilliant. I explained that this doesn't mean the person before didn't smoke just because there was a sign saying they couldn't. That didn't seem to register with the staff as they repeated that it was a non-smoking room. Ho hum.
